5 months later
Bam and everyone else sat in Yari's hospital room. It was going on five months and Siyari still hadn't woke up.
"Y'all think it's time to pull the plug?" Glock asked. They all jerked their heads towards him. "This why Ke left yo lil dumbass, cuz you say dumb ass shit like that." Blakk mumbled while shaking his head.
"Pull that plug if y'all the fuck want to, ima air this hoe out." Ke said as she stepped into the room. Everyone turned around and smiled except Glock.
They were happy to see her- her, Bam, Von, and Blakk were the only ones who had any hope in Yari. A week after the doctor announced Yari's state, Glock had already stop believing in Siyari waking up.
Mali gave up hope a few weeks ago, but her reason was valid- she kept her reason to herself though.
"Mane, where the fuck have you been?" Von asked.
"Gathering my thoughts." Ke answered. "For five months-"
"I bet ha ass ain't even visit Yari." Glock interrupted Blakk. Ke rolled her eyes at him before responding.
"Actually, I have visited- plenty of times. I come three times a week, bitchin ass. Don't say shit to me when you don't even believe Yari strong enough to pull through. My bitch a fighter, stop playin with her." Ke said.
"PERIOD!" Von yelled. They all turned their heads to look at him. "Fuck y'all lookin at me fa? Ian did shit." He mumbled.
"Anyways.. y'all heard from JB?" Ke asked. Bam scrunched his faced along with everyone else except for Mali and Von.
"Fuck you askin bout that nigga for? He ghosted us- I knew you was a opp ass hoe." Glock spat.
This nigga so mad bout Ke fuckin with that another nigga, whole time he was fuckin on other females before he even found out bout ole dude- that ain't my business tho. On top of that, the shit happened like 5 months ago.

"Darien chill the fuck out! Damn." Mali sucked her teeth.
"Talk to me like that again and watch my brothers be on yo ass. Disrespectful as fuck for no reason, I already apologized for what I said and acknowledged that I was in the wrong. The fuck else do you want?" Ke snapped.
"To un-fuck the nigga."
Ke rolled her eyes. "I never fucked him- you so fucking childish."
"Mane, why you askin bout him?" Bam asked, changing the topic.
"Because he texted me on some scared typa shit I guess and I was wondering if he texted y'all too." She responded, handing Bam her phone to show him the text.

While reading over it, he had mixed feelings. The period of him knowing Jb, Jb was known for being quiet, laid back, and cool as hell. He had his moments, but Jb never really bothered anyone.
"Na-"
"He texted me.." Mali trailed off.
"Fuck you mean he texted you?" Blakk asked Mali. She sighed.
"He texted me too." Von mumbled.
"Man what the hell?" Glock side eyed all of them. "Bitch stop looking at me like that." Mali told him.
"Give me y'all phone. I wanna see what he said to y'all." Bam spoke. Von and Mali took out their phones and handed them to him. He read over it and the messages were similar.
"Man ion een too much care bout this shit right now. And if y'all gone argue, get the fuck out. Yari don't need all this negative energy round ha." Bam announced.
Ke found a seat and sat down which was next to Mali.

Leaning forward, Bam grabbed Yari's right hand and laid his head on her chest. "Bae if you wake up, I promise I'll stop smoking crack and snorting coke. Just please wake up." He pleaded, catching everyone in the room's attention.
"Nigga you don't do crack or coke.." Ke said. Bam sucked his teeth and turned around before mugging her. "She don't know that."
"Yes she do Bam.. she know everything about you, dumbass." Mali spoke in a duh tone.
"Both of y'all shut the fuck up, how bout that." He rolled his eyes.
"I wish you would be on crack and coke, I a knock yo eyeballs out yo head." A raspy voice spoke. Bam's head turned around so fast.
"Babyyyyy." He dragged as tears were brought to his eyes. Yari chuckled and slowly wrapped her arms around Masiah. "I knew yo ass was a fighter." He added on.
"And niggas was talm bout pulling her plug." Ke mumbled while rolling her eyes, which led Mali to pinching her thigh. Only Blakk and Mali heard her.
Bam pecked Yari lips before staring at her. "Why you looking at me like that?" She questioned.
"Cuz, you been gone for foreverrrr." He dragged.
She scrunched up her face up. "For how long?"
"Forev-"
"5 months. That's long as hell ain't it?" Von shook his head. Everyone turned to look at him. "Oh shit- my bad." He mumbled.
"5 months Masiah?? That mean I missed your birthday and Christmas," She frowned as her eyes watered. "I missed everything." She added.
My birthday was in April- I spent it here with her and Jasiah though.
"Gang yeen miss shit but an argument between Ke crazy ass and Glock mad ass." Blakk fanned her off.
"It's okay, I was with you and Nookie for my birthday. Yeen miss nun." Bam told her.
After he said the, the doctor assigned to Yari came into the room. "Ah, you're awake." He smiled, but it quickly faded.
They noticed how quick his expression changed. "What is it?" Yari asked.
"Perhaps they could step out?" He asked. "I have some news for you."
"Aw shit.." Von mumbled.
"They can stay." She told the doctor. "Are you sure?" The doctor asked. Yari nodded in response so he began flipping through the pages that were on his clipboard.
"Well Ms. Moore, there is no good way to say this.." He said. "Damn, it's that bad?" She asked.
"It depends on if you were planning on having kids." He told her. Her eyes widened.
"I- I can't have kids?" She asked. Her eyes watered as she stared at him.
"I deeply am sorry." He told her.
Damn...
She immediately broke down. Bam tried talking to her, but she ignored him and just continued crying.
"We gone leave and come back tomorrow, I'm happy you're up." Ke said.
Everyone except Bam got up and left the room after saying their goodbyes.
"I will leave you two alone- and again, I am so sorry. I will be back later to explain everything and your position." He said before leaving the room and making sure to shut the door.
"Yari.." Bam quietly called out. Yari ignored him and continued to silently cry.
Bam stood up from his seat. "Scoot over." He said. She sniffled and wiped her tears as she scooted over.
"You finna get in the bed with me?" She asked.
"Mmhm."
"We gone break the bed, Siah." She mumbled.
He chuckled lowly and got in the bed. "We ain't gone break the bed, Ma,"
"But Yari-"
"I don't wanna talk about it.." She softly said.
"We don't have to, we can just go to sleep." He told her. "Okay.. I love you." She murmured.
"I love you too."

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
