me and lucas both stand there, looking at mike.
"about what?" i ask.
"everything." he says.
me and lucas sit on the couch.
"um can we talk in private? just us three." mike says.
everyone nods and walks upstairs, leaving me, lucas, and mike alone. when mike turned his head i noticed the bruise on his cheek.
he sits down on the couch across from us and lets out a big sigh.
"i'm sorry." he says.
we both look at him.
"y/n. i'm sorry for being such a dick and constantly giving you a hard time. i'm sorry for being so rude and disrespectful towards you. you haven't done anything to deserve that, and you're not a bitch. i had no reason to call you that. i shouldn't have said that. i-i sounded like a real asshole and i promise that i won't do anything- or say anything like that anymore. i really, truly am sorry y/n." mike says.
mike looks down at his feet. mike honestly sounded like he was telling the truth. his apology sounded sincere. but i still want to know why he hated me so much.
"mike." i say. he looks up at me. "why did you hate me so much."
"i-i don't know. i guess it's because you're just so popular. i mean you have like... a million friends. i didn't understand why you wanted to hang out with us so badly. i just thought you were like all of the other popular people, snobby. he admits.
"well i don't think that meant you had to be such an ass." i say.
"i know. and i'm sorry, really. i wish i didn't say any of it, i mean i caused a big scene at the skating rink and i've just been so rude." he says.

it goes quiet for a bit.
"mike, why are you apologizing now, why not earlier?" i say, disturbing the silence.
"well, after the whole skating incident. everyone was telling me how much of an ass i was being. me and jane had an argument about the whole thing. and everything they were saying, it made me realize how shitty i was being." he says.
i nod. "okay."
it goes quiet for a little bit.
"and lucas, i'm sorry too." mike says. "i've been rude to you too. you don't deserve any of that, you just wanted us to like y/n. i mean, i did the same thing with jane. and thank you for punching me. i deserved it." mike says.
me and lucas look at each other. we both nod.
"it's okay mike. we forgive you." i say.
mike stands up and i hug him. lucas then hugs mike as well.
the three of us walk upstairs.
"are you guys good now?" max says.
we all nod.
"thank god. that was so annoying." max says.
we all laugh.
for the rest of the day, we hung out a mike's house until around 11. lucas drove me home.
once he drops me off, i go inside and go to my room. i put my phone on the charger and head to the bathroom to shower. once i did that, i changed into my pajamas, did my skincare, and brushed my hair. i put my hair in a ponytail and i laid in my bed.
i got on my phone and scrolled though a bunch of apps. i texted lucas goodnight, and went to bed.
