《Mated to a Bad Boy》Chapter 10: Igniting the Fires of Passion

Hunter leads me to to the side of the house where something is laying under a blue tarp. He let's go of my hand and grasps the tarp, pulling it off with a single tug revealing a black motorcycle with electric blue flames stretching across it and the chrome shines brightly it the late day sun. Wow.

Hunter sits on the seat, kicking back the kickstand and starting the motorcycle up. "Wanna go for a ride?"

"Umm...." I'm not sure, I've never even ridden a bike.

"Come on." He smiles, reaching for my hand and pulling me closer. Sitting behind him I loosely wrap my arms around him. "You're going to fall off if you hold on like that." He lurches the bike forward and I squeal, hold on to him tighter and he chuckles to himself.

"It's not funny." I whine, playfully slapping his back.

We begin to move and I watch the earth speed by as my hair flutters in the wind. Hunter's scent enters my nose and I melt, the faint scent of lavender on a rainy day. Before I can stop myself I bury my face in his back and inhale deeply. I can feel my cheeks grow red but I don't care, his scent is like a safe place to me, making my wolf go wild. I can feel his muscles through his shirt and I feel a fire ignite deep within me.

We turn off a main road and onto a deserted dirt road. Dust kicks up as we speed by. Soon the smell of the ocean greets me.

Hunter stops and I get off, almost reluctant to let go of him. I look out from the cliffside upon the ocean. The waves roar and crash along the rocky shoreline, sending the ocean spay high. The sun was slowly setting, turning the sky orange, almost like it was on fire. My breath hitches at the sight, simply breathtaking.

"It's so beautiful." I smile.Suddenly I feel arms wrap around me from behind and Hunter whispers into my ear, sending shivers up my spine.

"Yeah, beautiful..."

I can feel heat rising up, starting from my toes and making its way up, coursing through my veins. To think that a simple touch like that can cause such a change to my body. My cheeks begin to blush. Can he feel it too?

His lips graze the back of my neck and I squeal, an electric charge radiating from the spot. I quickly turn to look at him and he has this come hither look, drawing me in. I bite my lip. His arm slides behind me to the small of my back, pulling me close. His eyes blazing, almost brighter then the setting sun. There's something so sensual, so...... primal. Our lips meet in a passionate kiss and I find myself closing my eyes, giving into the kiss, our tongues entwining. Hunter runs his hand up and down my spine, sending waves of pleasure coursing through my body as my body ignites like a raging fire. This isn't like his spiteful kiss, this one is more tender and loving. I can almost hear my heart sing.

Hunter suddenly stops. His eyes like two swirling storm clouds, dark and foreboding. Someone from the pack is talking to him through the link.

"What is it?" I ask, now worried.

"Aiden said another girl has just been reported missing. We need to head back, NOW!" He rushes over to the bike, taking large, hurried strides and just like that it's like there is a wall between us again. We hurry back, speeding down the road like the Devil was at our heels.

Once back, Hunter hands me over to Caleb in Jasper then begins to leave with the search party. I run after him. "Wait!" He turns to face me. "Let me come with you, please? I can help look."

"No, go back to the house and wait for me to return."

"But?"

"No! End of discussion!" He snaps.

I relent and head back to the house with Caleb and Jasper. Sitting quietly in the the office I have so many questions running through my mind. Who is she? Will they find her in time? Did she have a past with Hunter like the others? The only people who have the answers to my questions are sitting in the room with me but I don't think they will talk, not after my last encounter with them. Still, it's worth a shot.

"Who went missing?"

"A girl named Calla. Her mate is worried sick about her. He came back from his patrol to find her gone, only sign of a struggle was a lamp laying on the floor in pieces, some of which were covered in blood." Caleb speaks up.

"Do you think they used the lamp to knock her out when she was least expecting it? It would explain why she never reached out to anyone over the link and with no forced entry it means they had to know the person and let them in." I speak quickly, barely catching a breath.

"Everyone in the pack knows each other, that brings us no closer to finding person responsible. You could have easily passed the perpetrator and not even know it." Jasper speaks coldly. Hearing him say that makes my hair stand on end. He's right, it could be anyone.

"Jasper, cut it out. You're scaring her." Caleb scolds Jasper who sits in his chair brooding.

"Roxie, you have nothing to worry about. We are here to protect you. Hunter made us swear that we would lay down our lives for you." Caleb turns to comforting me. The last part shocks me.

"He what-" I try to ask but I am interrupted by the sound of smashing glass as I am pushed to the ground by Caleb.

Jasper wastes no time in springing up and running outside to chase something. Caleb, scrambles off of me and helps me to sit up.

"What on Earth was that?!" I look around the room, my heart racing. Eventually my eyes settle on a rock with a blood-soaked note attached to it. What the hell is this?
