There are two Knott brothers.

But they're not both really real Knotts.

One is not a real Knott and one is a real Knott.

Shirley Kouldbee is one if the Kouldbee twins, there was a Kouldbee girl and her twin a Kouldbee boy.

Shirley Kouldbee married one of the Knott brothers.

Shirley was not sure which Knott brother was a real Knott, or not.

So, we called her Mrs. Shirley Not instead of Mrs. Shirley Knott.

And we would laugh a lot.

If Shirley married the not Knott brother, then she is surely not a real Knott brother's wife. Is she not?

But if the Knott brother she married was the real Knott brother, then she is a real Knott brother's wife. Is she not?

One Knott brother gets the whole lot, when Papa Knott is not with us anymore.

So, it matters which Knott Shirley married.

Real Knott gets the whole lot.

The not Knott does not.

Shirley married Larry Knott.

Larry was hairy.

Larry's brother, Harry Knott, was not.

Just Larry.

Harry Knott did not marry.

He had no hair, he did not care, about hair.

But without hair, Harry

looked kind of scary.

Ladies preferred Larry Knott not Harry Knott.

So, Harry Knott did not marry.

Papa Knott said "not sayin" which Knott brother was not the real Knott brother.

The Knott brothers will always be Knott brothers.

Whether they're real Knott brothers or not.

If Shirley married the real Knott brother or not. She surely does not know.
