《Her House, My Rules》Chapter 46

I was in the middle of breaking Hazel in three when my phone disturbed the hunger under my skin. Jack was calling me and Hazel, on the other hand, was begging me to pick up the phone. To be honest, I wanted to ignore him and continue with my incomplete lesson with my queen but unsafe rides were driving into my mind. recklessly. I thought Jack was in danger. I was worried.

He was my brother, after all.

As soon as I placed the phone to my ear, girls started yelling in the background. Jack was definitely at a party. He was begging me to come to Caroline's party. An old friend from our old neighborhood. She used to have a crush on me. We shared a french kiss and that was all. She wanted me but I was only craving pleasure. That was a long time ago and yet, it felt like yesterday when we were just little kids.

Party! Here I come!

"Get ready." I pulled my pants up. "You're going to be my date tonight." The temperature of my tone was proud and eccentric.

"Who was that?" Hazel asked, confusingly. "And what party?" Her question filled her mind with pure jealousy. "Are you really going?"

"Yes, Sweetheart." I carried her to the bed as I leaned in closer to her face. "We're going." I corrected her previous sentence. "Jack was on the phone by the way," I answered her first question as I pulled her upper lip with my teeth, gently. "Come here, Sexy..." I whispered as I wrapped my hand around her neck and shared a wet french kiss between our curly tongues.

"Hawk," Her lips stopped moving as she caressed my face slowly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything. I know you're making a lot of sacrifices to keep me around and I know you deserve better. I want to make you happy and one more thing." She took a deep breath. "No more lies."

"No more lies?"I questioned her intentions. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, I promise." She assured me. "No more lies. No more secrets."

"No more games," I replied with a straight face. "No more arguments."

"Yes, you're right." She admitted, truthfully. "No more games, no more arguments." She repeated.

"I gave you so many chances. I feel like an idiot." I described myself. "I kept on begging you to stay and forgiving you over and over again." I sighed, impatiently. "If you betray me or lie to me again, I'll leave you and make you pay for the consequences. I swear on my father's grave."

"Don't worry, I'll be a perfect girlfriend." She suggested. "I promise."

"I don't want you to be perfect, Hazel," I stated. "I just want you to behave like a normal woman, stop with your games and start acting like my future wife." I visualized my wishes through my words.

"I promise." She declared. "I want to be by your side forever."

"I hope you're serious this time and you're not wasting my time," I admitted, at last. "This is your last chance, Hazel. Show me that you really want to change."

"I need to get ready." Hazel tried to change the subject. "You know I take forever." She reminded me. "Just give me a few minutes."A pillow followed me on my way out.

"Hurry up!" My voice begged her feet to start moving. "Please, hurry." She was going to take hours and hours to find something to wear, I witnessed it before and I was on the same road all over again.

After hours of digging into her closet, Hazel finally decided to come out. It was really late, I was speeding on the road, skipping cars like I was in Fast & Furious but I arrived right on time. A small group of guys was murmuring, smoking and drinking in front of the mansion. Some girls joined a few seconds after I parked my car in the middle of two fancy Rolls Royce cars.

Two nice cars! What a wonderful, satisfying view.

I turned off the engine and floated a piece of gum, minty-fresh flavor, inside my mouth. Hazel opened the large visor mirror in front of her as the lights flashed her entire face and body. Muted, my eyes judged her from head to toe. My jaw clenched as I let out a soft sigh, unpleasantly. I was disappointed, ready to go back home and make her change her clothes.

"Hazel..." I squeezed the hard wheel between my hands as I tried my best not to lose control and let the jealousy creep into my voice. "What are you wearing? Your boobs are tiny strings away from popping out." Her red crop top introduced her cleavage, selfishly.

"Come on," She groaned, annoyingly. "This is not the time, Hawk. We should just-"

"What were you thinking?" I broke every word down, firmly. "Who were you trying to impress?"I asked, desperately. "Answer my damn questions!" I ordered as she tried to combine her words together.

"Nobody, Okay?"She sighed, rapidly. "Nobody. Now, can you please calm down, Hawk?" She searched for a better attitude from me. "Please, this is not the time or the place."

"Damn right!" I interrupted. "You do realize that there are a lot of guys at the party, right?" I tried to prove my point.

"So what?" Her words were cold as Winter. "It's a party."

"I'm a guy and I know that they are going to die to get a taste of your skin." I applied my thoughts. "They are going to examine your body and approach you when you're alone. Your body is mine, Hazel and I'm not going to allow somebody else to dream about your naked parts." I spoke my mind. "What if I get drunk tonight? Are you going to defend yourself?"

"You're overreacting. This is just a party." She stated. "What's wrong with you? Do you think I'm going to sell my body to one of them? Is that what you think?" Her questions burned my mind with bad insecurities. I decided to ignore them and prosecuted my new decision.

"We're going back home." I panicked. "Put your seatbelt back on." I started the engine. "Party's over."

"We just got here," Hazel complained. "What are you doing?" Her tone expressed her true sentiments. "Are you being serious right now? Are you really that insecure? You're really handsome, Hawk. You can trust me, you're the only one that I want."

"I know," I said, cruelly. "You don't have to remind me of that." My pride spoke in return.

As soon as I tried to reverse my car. Jack came to my window and started screaming like a little immature kid. He was making a big scene. He wanted the whole world to know that I was here. In fact, I was famous at school. I hated that. I hated attention. My behavior was unstoppable. Girls used to worship me and blame me for breaking their hearts.

Girls love bad boys.

Bad boys love trouble and sex.

That's the desperate truth.

"Where are you going, Hawk?" Jack tried to embarrass me. "Are you leaving, Hawk Wale?" He yelled on purpose to get attention from the people that were standing outside.

"Jack, I have to go home," I admitted, truthfully. "Stop it, Jack," I whispered under my breath as I covered the situation with a lie. "I'll explain later."

"You're asking the wrong person to cover your excuses, Hawk."He opened the door as he pulled me outside. "Caroline is..." He gestured. "Thick."

"I'm not interested." I refused to follow his dirty mind. "She was never my type," I replied, vaguely.

"Do you remember how skinny she was." He tried to remind me of the old days. "Now, her butt is bigger than your mansion. That's crazy."

"That's good for her," I said, vaguely. "Listen, man, I really have to go home. I can't stay here." I tried to explain myself but he refused to listen to me.

"Hawk, you're coming inside whether you like it or not." He disapproved. "Hazel, come with me." He opened her door and enveloped his strong arms around her. "Hazel, you look... perfect." Jack's mouth was twisted between a funny smile and a grimace of pettiness. He was trying to get under my skin. He knew that I wasn't the type to let my girl wear shorts in front of millions of guys.

"Aren't you coming, Hawk?" Jack forced a devil smile. "Hazel is waiting for you." Hazel looked back and felt guilty for leaving me behind.

Hazel took a deep breath and headed to my direction.

"Hawk..." She held both of my hands. "If you don't want me to go inside, we don't have to." She gave me a kiss on the cheek. "It's your call."

"I know." I sighed. "Let's go inside. Ladies, first." I gave her permission to skip me. Little did I know, that was a bad move. My worst enemy was already waiting to greet Hazel in front of the door.

"Who are you? Beautiful." Halter gave Hazel a compliment as he tried to stop her from coming in. "I don't think I've seen you around before." He captured her attention and tried to make a move on her. "Can I have your number?"

Hell Nah! Over my dead body, Halter.

"She's with me." Hazel was out of the way. She was behind me, I was face to face with him. I was holding myself from punching him straight in his face. "Now, back up or we're going to have some problems."

"Tough guy, Huh?" Halter chuckled, amusingly. "Hawk Wale, entertainer of the night." He yelled, disturbingly. "You know, you were always funny but I was never scared of you." He tried to grab Hazel from behind.

I broke his entire nose with a strong punch. "Touch her again and I swear, you'll end up in a hospital in a few seconds." My words were harsh and firm. I wasn't playing. "Try me."

Matter of fact, I don't play when it comes to
