I've been on that road plenty of times. Isn't that right Mother? Am I wrong Jessica Halls? What about you, Mr. Dean? I have a question, Maria Brown? What was my father's last words before he died? Did he scream for help? Did he ask you to take care of his only son? Did he tell you that he was my only world? Did he beg you for another day?

Now, Jack Walter? Tell me something. What did I do to deserve that? Please, tell me. Maybe I can remind you that you're my best friend and I love you very much. Maybe I can tell you that you're important to me and you're the last person in my life right now that I can trust? Maybe I can beg you to take my life instead of my unborn child? Maybe I was too harsh? Forgive me. Maybe I was too selfish? Forgive me. Maybe I was too friendly? Forgive me, Jack but I didn't deserve that. I didn't expect you to betray me like this? I didn't expect you to take my only happiness away from me.

"Jack? Jack? Where the fuck are you, traitor?" I yelled and headed straight to the kitchen. "Why did you kill my baby? Why would you do that to me?" I grabbed him by the shirt as a smile played on his face. He wasn't taking me seriously. My unborn baby just died and he apologized with a smile.

"Oh," He laughed. "The poison." His body language screamed for pity. "Hazel told you. This girl is something else. Do you believe her?" His question tortured my mind, angrily. "Do you?"

"Shut the fuck up!" I punched him straight in the face. He didn't try to fight back. He gave me a free allowance to finish him alive. "Is this a joke?"

"Hawk, come on, man." He chuckled, desperately. "Do you think I'm really capable of killing a baby? My best friend's child?" I let go of him. "Come on man, you know me better than this. We're talking about your baby here. I'm not crazy. I'll never do that to you." He sighed with deep sadness in his eyes. "I'll never do that to you, Hawk." He grabbed my face roughly. "Look at me, I have your back. Forever and Always."

"Then why do I feel like you're hiding something else from me?" I spoke my mind. "Why are you so distant? Why don't you like Hazel?"

"Okay, Hawk."He took a sip of his cold strawberry lemonade. "First of all, your baby is still alive and It was Hazel's idea for the record. Second of all, I don't hate Hazel. I love her as my sister."His eyes reflected on Hazel's shadow from a distance. "Hazel? You're here. Please, tell him." He ordered. "I think it's time. He deserves the truth."

"What are you talking about?"My brows disagreed with his words. "What truth?" Hazel made her way towards me. "Hazel? What is Jack talking about?" My question tormented my head with empty confusions.

"Hawk." Hazel caressed my face, gently. "It was a prank." They both laughed. "Your reaction was the best, babe." Her last word captured my mind with a serious exclamation mark.

Babe? Did I miss something?

"What did you just call me?" My broken voice replied, confusingly. "Hazel? What's going on?" I glanced at Jack. "Jack? What's happening?" I gestured.

"Excuse me, Hawk." Jack excused himself. "I have somewhere to be." He tried to stay away from the subject by giving a silly excuse for his absence. "Hazel, If you don't tell him. I will." He gave me a soft punch to the arm as his presence faded away, rapidly. Jack was hiding me something. So was Hazel.

"What is it, Hazel?" I wanted answers. "What is Jack talking about?" My dry throat was whispering for my saliva, silently. I had a bad feeling and It was breaking me down slowly.

"Basically, we..." She paused. . "Jack and I decided to prank you but... it went too far and It was too late to come back from everything so I went with the flow." She forced a smile, her face was pale, she was extremely anxious about the situation. "I know it was wrong to do that but I wanted to see your reaction. I wanted to make sure that you were the one for me."

I still don't know what you're trying to say, Hazel. Can you just get to the point?

"Okay?" I exclaimed, dryly. "Get to the point."

"Promise me that you're not going to hate me." Her eyes begged mine to stay in contact. "Promise me, Hawk."

"Talk!" I yelled. "You have three seconds."

"Alright." She agreed. "I did something wrong. I swear, I wanted to tell you but I just didn't know how to approach you with my mistake. I'm just asking for forgiveness. If you really care about me, you have to understand where I'm coming from." Her voice was wet with tears. "I never meant to hurt you, Hawk."

"Hazel..." My jaw clenched. "I swear to God If you don't start talking. I'm going to erase you from my life. You'll never see me again. I can swear that on my father's grave."

"Fine, fine, fine..." Hazel nodded, rapidly. "I'll tell you."She finally accepted to spit the truth. "I... I... I lied to you... I didn't lose my memories. I remember who you are, Hawk. I remember everything. I'm sorry... I know it was wrong for me to do that but it was just a prank."

"You played with my feelings, Hazel."I tried to control myself. "You tore up my father's picture on purpose!" Tears greeted my eyes, rapidly. "Was that a prank too?" I swallowed my patience, angrily. "Why did you do that? Why?"

"I was trying to have your attention." She admitted, painfully.

"You had it!" I groaned. "You had my attention, Hazel. I tried my best to make you happy and take care of you." I reminded her. "Did I or Did I not?"

"Hawk, okay you're right but..."

"But what?"I shouted. "You knew how I felt about him but you still destroyed me by removing the only thing I had left of my dad and you want me to forgive you?" I raised my left eyebrow. "Hazel! I decided to forget about it because I thought you lost your memories for good and it was pointless to make you pay for the consequences but little did I know, you were laughing in the back of your mind. You enjoyed it. Didn't you?" I crossed my arms. "You made a fool out of me. You lied about so many things, Hazel. I don't even want to be around you anymore. You're toxic. Is that baby even mine?"

"Yes, Hawk." Hazel defended herself. "You're the father and I'm sorry for what I did. I wasn't thinking straight."

"I don't believe you," I admitted, truthfully. "I gave you so many chances. Over, over and over again. I'm sorry but I can't be with someone who doesn't care about my feelings. I can't be with someone who only thinks about her own self? I'm done."

"Hawk? Just listen to me..." She begged, desperately. "Please..."

"Hazel," I began. "Just give up... I'm done, I'm really done." My words were sincere and cold. It was the best decision. Hazel was not the right girl for me.

"Do you think it was easy?" She insisted. "I tried to stop everything but something was holding me back."

"Your pride!" I confirmed. "Your pride was holding you back and you know what?" I stammered. "You... you... you can forget me and burn our memories under the ground."

Jack, however, immediately ran to my side. "Holy Heaven! What happened Hawk? Why are you crying?" He knew exactly the reason why.

"Is Jack the father of your baby?" I hated myself for asking but I wanted the truth.

Hazel's heart stopped.

"No, Hawk." She said, quickly. "Why are you creating assumptions in your head? I understand you're really mad right now but you don't have to do this. You don't have to go there." She tried to calm me down.

"Did you ever love me, Hazel?" I asked, sheepishly, trying not to let the pain creep into my voice.

"Of course, I did." There was a pause on Hazel's end. "I still do, Hawk." I took a deep breath and tried my best not to give in. "This is why I didn't want to tell you."

Jack enveloped me into a hug and patted my back. "I'm sorry, Bro. Please forgive me." My arms were drooping to the sides, refusing to share my affection and hug him back.

I pulled away from him and glared. "From now on, I'm not your brother." His reaction emerged the air with sympathy. "You just lost your best friend, Jack Walter." Jack crossed his arms and looked at me accusingly.

"Hawk." He insisted. "I'm not going to beg like a little girl but come on, man. You can't be serious." He tested my invisible loyalty.

"Jack, I don't want you to be around me anymore," I said, disappointedly. "Our friendship is over."

"But..." He replied, stretching out the word.

"But what?" I asked, intentionally. "But what, Jack?"

"Nothing..." He quickly lied. "I'll just pack my bags now. Tesha and Natalie left an hour ago." He clarified. "Take care, brother." He gave my hand a gentle squeeze.

"Jack really cares about you." Hazel killed the silence. "You're making a big mistake."

"You're still here?" I frowned. "The door is this way," I gestured, cheerfully. "In case you forgot where you came from."

"I have something else to tell you." She stopped me from leaving. "Please, just listen to me." Her eyes begged my feet not to move.

"I'm sick and tired of your lies, Hazel," I made myself clear. "I'm done."

"You really need to know the truth about Jack." She insisted. "It's really important."

"I'm not going to change my mind, Hazel," I said, vaguely. "Please, stop trying..." I started to walk away from her.

"Jack is a too," Hazel yelled from a distance. "His grandmother was the little girl in Lionland... Jack told me the story and he proved it to me." Hazel's jaw dropped.

My heart stopped by the terrible news.

"Are you lying to me?" I asked, confused. Desperate for answers. "How do I know you're telling the truth right now? I thought I was the only one with that curse."

"You're not the only one." She confirmed. "Look." An old picture of Jack Walter. "This lady is your mother. Ana Hudson. Nineteen ninety-two. This is Jack and your mother."

"That is my mother." I grabbed the picture from her hand. "What is her relationship with Jack?"

.

"But I thought that I was just an experiment," I asked, nervously. "What's going on? What happened?"

"History happened." Jack showed the scars all over his body. "I can hide my scars and so can you. You just need to learn how to."

"How come I never..."

"Like I said, Hawk." He interrupted and forced a smile. "History happened." Jack tapped my back. "We are capable of many things."
