《Her House, My Rules》Chapter 39

The morning sun burned my skin with heavy fire. My lazy eyes introduced themselves to the world once again. I wasn't inside my house. I woke up in the middle of the street, unconscious. I didn't really remember what happened. A few hours ago, I was chasing Hazel, she was the only person who was there when I turned into something else. A . It felt different. It was different.
Last night, I felt powerful but dangerous. I never felt like this before. A strange feeling overwhelmed me. I wanted to destroy humans, I wanted to burn them alive. It felt more like revenge under my skin. I lost my human sight but I wasn't blind. I had a lion vision. I saw things differently, it felt like I was in another cold world. Hazel was right in front of me and I didn't want to hurt her. I automatically knew that she was pregnant. It was weird. I didn't want to hurt a pregnant woman. Maybe history was true.
As I entered the house, broken pieces of glass invited my eyes to notice them on the floor. Did I do that? Was Hazel okay? My mind kept blocking memories of last night. I was getting worse. I was dangerous and I knew that I was turning into something evil. I didn't have a choice, I didn't know how to stop it.
I climbed the stairs rapidly as I headed straight to the bedroom. The door was locked but Hazel was inside. She was crying loudly on the bed. I wonder, did she sleep last night or was she crying all night? Did she come out and eat breakfast? I was worried and stressed.
I kept knocking continuously but she didn't want to open it for me. Her broken tone gave her away. She was definitely scared of me. She didn't want me to get close to her. I was a monster in her angel eyes. She didn't want me to contaminate her with my disease.
"Go away!" She yelled through the door, annoyingly. "Please, just stay away from me!" Her voice broke down in the middle of her full sentence. "Leave me alone!"
"Just open the door, Hazel," I begged, gently. "Let's talk about it." I knocked, impatiently.
"There's nothing to talk about." She replied, urgently. "Just leave me alone and bring me back to Max. I don't want to stay here with a beast." Her sentence explained how she felt at that moment. "Call Max."
"I'm going to break this door!" I gave her a warning. "If you don't let me in."
She ignored me.
I wanted to leave her alone but I had to make sure that she wasn't trying to kill the baby inside her. I listened to my instincts. I pushed the door with a strong force as it opened unexpectedly. Hazel jumped from her bed and tried to walk away from me as soon as possible with a knife in her hand. Her bags were packed. Her makeup was on point, she was ready to leave the house.

"Stay away from me or I swear I'll dig this knife inside my stomach." She threatened the baby inside her. She was two weeks pregnant but she didn't care. She was trying to steal my happiness away from me. She knew how I felt about our child. "Leave!" She yelled and pointed the edge of the knife on her stomach.
"Okay, okay, fine." I forced myself to agree with her. "I'll leave but put this knife down. I'm begging you." I tried to convince her. "I'm not going to hurt you, I promise."
"Stay where you are..." She ordered. "Don't take another step. I want you to leave." She sighed, desperately. "Now!"
"Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" I asked, calmly. "I'm sorry but I promise I'm not dangerous and I'll never hurt you or our baby." My words were unsure and selfish. I was dangerous.
"I'm not keeping this monster inside me."Her voice was loud and clear. "I'm going to get an abortion and I'm going to be with Max."
"I won't force you to stay with me but I want you to hear me out." I advanced on her, slowly. "Please," I begged.
"Seriously, I want you to leave me alone. I don't want to hear from you anymore." Her words were cruel and sincere. "I'm so glad that I lost my memories and I hope I never get them back." She exclaimed, disappointingly.
"Don't say that, please." I grabbed the knife in her hand, rapidly. "You're hurting me. Stop talking like that. You used to like me for me. You understood my situation."
"Are you serious?" Her eyebrows disagreed with me. "You only care about yourself. You don't care about my feelings. You only care about this baby inside of me. Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you talk to me about it? Why?"
"You weren't ready for the truth," I said, dryly. "Words don't come easily, Hazel." I paused. "Please, just try to understand."
"Fine, I'll listen to you but I'm leaving today." She sat on the bed and waited for my upcoming words. "You have my full attention." I sat next to her and held her hands. She didn't push me away. I was surprised.
"I don't really know how to start but I want you to know that I really do care about you," I stated. "You did a lot of bad things in the past, your parents betrayed mine. I forgave them. More importantly, I forgave you. I'm not saying this for you to feel bad but I did it because I believed in us. I was madly in love with you and I still am. I wanted to protect our love, I wanted to show you how precious you were in my life. You were my Waffle once upon a time. I'm not a monster, I can guarantee you that. I want you to be by my side, I want you to keep fighting with me, I want you to feel safe around me. I want you to learn how to trust me. I want you to be honest with me about everything." I tried to make her comfortable. "Do you want me to prove it to you? I'm willing to show you how important you are in my life."

"What do you want me to say?" She replied, gently. "Words are just words. You're probably lying to me right now." She accused me. "I don't believe you."
"Look," I held the necklace around her neck. "My name is written on your necklace. Look," I showed her my gold chain. They were very similar. "Your name is written on mine too. Do you know why?" I asked, sincerely.
"Why?"She sighed, nervously. "What's the catch this time?"
"I wanted you to be mine forever." My words were complicated in her ears. "I was so sure about us that I gave my all to this relationship. We barely knew each other but I felt like we were magical. I'm still waiting for the perfect day to share our flaws under the sheets."
"But it's just a necklace." She reproached me. "What's so important about a necklace? The fact that it's gold?"
I was waiting for the right time. It was too soon to propose in my opinion. I wanted to get to know Hazel a little bit more. My mind wanted to make sure that she was mine completely. I gave her the necklace but I was not going to propose right away. I wanted to wait for a few months, maybe years. I wasn't ready and she was going through a lot. So, was I.
Maybe she'll find out about it if only something happens to me in the future. Maybe she will never know.
I still wanted her to have it. It was the only gift from my future. I wanted her to protect the stone of our gold memories.
Hazel was not ready for the consequences. My Hazel was dead and she was far away from my dangerous world.
"You're right." I lied. "It's just a necklace." My strong lie was eating me alive but I had to make sure that she was trustworthy. I had to make sure that she was the one for me, my only gift from God, himself.
Not the mother of my child.
"Tell me a secret." She whispered as she forced a gentle smile on her face. "Why don't you hate me? Last night, I tore up your father's picture right in front of your face. I said bad things to push you away but you're still fighting for my impossible love. You're still thinking that I'm the same woman that you fell in love with a few decades ago." Tears fell down her face slowly as she leaned in closer to me. "Why do you still care about me, Huh? Why are you sacrificing your life for a ghost?" Her questions made sense but my heart didn't agree with her selfish words. "Why can't you give up on me?"
.
"Do you remember what I said when I was begging you to be mine?" That's right. She doesn't remember anything from the past. Why did I even ask? "You lost your memories but I will tell you anyway. The exact same words." I kissed her hands between my cold fingers. "If you're mine, I'll make you breakfast in bed, I'll make you tea when you're sick, I'll make your bed in the morning, I'll protect you, I'll make you forget all the bad things. I'll cherish you and make love to you as If we were in Titanic but this time, there's a catch. We'll die together."
Hazel chuckled.
"What did I say to you?" A smile played on her face. "Did I say yes?"
"Oh, yes." I chuckled, amusingly. "Yes, you did. We made love to celebrate this day." I was unsure but I still wanted to get it out of my chest.
"Did we?" Her petty tone dug for more. "How was our first sex?" Her eyebrows enjoyed the conversation. I was waiting for her underwear to start melting between her legs. Hazel might forget her memories but her pink clitoris definitely remembers my warm tongue.
"It was..." I daydreamed the details inside my head. "It was perfect." My hunger started to grow under my skin. I wanted her skin against mine. My electric bomb penis was so addicted to her juicy wetness.
"Did you enjoy it?"
"You were screaming for more." I laughed. "We tried the Doggy style." I was entertaining her grave thoughts. "The butterfly position but your favorite was the Cockroach position." I burst out laughing. I remember that day when we were arguing in the car about those stupid positions. It was the best day of my life. She was mine and I was hers. We were perfect and happy.
Cold problems were crushed under our feet.
"What was your favorite position?" She flew her fingers through my hair, gently. She was really acting nice and I was weak all over again. It was really hard to control myself. She did a spell on me. I was under her sweet addiction.
"I don't tell... I enjoy the action." I whispered in her right ear as I flew my hand under her pink short dress and pulled down her underwear, recklessly. "Can I take off your underwear?"I bit the tip of her ear, hungrily. "It's really bothering me..."
