《HER LOVE • davina claire》59 | SOFT AND WARM
Advertisement
I woke up, my body in pain. Images flashed before my eyes of what happened before I temporarily died and I sat up. The warehouse. The bombs. The explosion.
"Nik! Elijah! Jackson!" I shouted in a panicked as I got out of bed. My back was just about healed and I was about to exit the room when a voice stopped me.
"Aleksios." That voice. That one voice that makes me weak in the knees and my head dizzy. I turned to my Love and I stared at her with cold eyes.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her, my voice was supposed to come out hard and cold but looking into her eyes, my voice came out soft and warm. Soft and warm. Something Davina makes me. And something I hate right now.
"Klaus called me." She tells me, fiddling with her fingers and I have to physically hold myself from taking her into my arms in comforting her. I'm not longer angry with her, now I'm just hurt. And that is much worse than being angry.
"They're okay?" I questioned, feeling relieved.
"Yeah." She told me and I nodded with pursed lips. Her eyes flickers down to my lips before looking me in the eyes again. I have to use all of my self control that I don’t speed her against the nearest wall. I inhaled sharply from all of the emotion in her eyes.
"I'm glad your okay." The brunette beauty adds on after a while of silence. I didn't know what to say so I kept quiet and we stared at each other. We both have so much we want to tell each other but we have no idea where to start.
"I can't promise you that Marcel will make it out of this war alive." I told her and she swallowed thickly before nodding. We fell into silence once more and I looked at her, my heart hammering in my chest and my lips aching to feel her soft ones on my own.
"I have to go." I tell her before leaving the room to find my twin but first I need a change of clothes so I go into my room next door to my twin's. I take a quick shower, at normal pace and then I change my clothes and by now my body is fully healed.
"Hey Lex, wait up." I heard a slightly familiar voice call out to me as I exited my room and I spun to the source. Jackson. I grinned at him.
"I'm glad to see you're in one piece." I tell him, my voice having a teasing tone to it.
"Likewise." He retorts with a grin. "Listen, I never got to thank you." He tells me and I wave him off.
"Don't mention it." I say, hoping that he would drop it.
"I owe you one. Remember that if you need anything." He tells me and I nod.

"Thank you, but I doubt it. I'll keep it in mind though." I give him a small smile. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to find Nik before he does something rash." We bid each other a goodbye before going our separate ways.

"Have you lost your mind?" I questioned, my tone loud and coated in disbelief as I found my twin, ready to use his own blood to make the moonlight rings. He turned to me and a bright smile lit his face as he sped towards me and hugged me tightly. It's the first time he's seen me since the warehouse incident.
"No, but I need to do this, Lexie." He tells me as we pulled a part. I pouted and he chuckled but gave me a stern look.
"Fine." I grumbled and went to stand next to Hayley and Elijah. Genevieve takes his hand and uses her knife to cut his palm. She drips the blood over the stones and it hisses as she begins the spell. Genevieve continues to cast the moonlight ring spell in the Mikaelson compound, while Nik, Hayley, Elijah and myself watch carefully.
The red head holds her hands out and chants, "Tua virtuse. Materi lunare tua virtuse. Materi lunare tua virtuse."
"My people say Marcel is on the move, and he's bringing friends." Francesca said as she rushed inside. I only met her once and it was very briefly. I don't really like her much, I get a weird vibe of her.
"That's great news. I need to let of some steam." I tell them, grinning manically. These last day has been really horrible.
Nik turns to Elijah. "Get Hayley to safety." He orders Elijah, who reluctantly agrees to this plan, and my twin turns to me. "Let's go have some fun." He tells me and we grin at each other.
We sped downstairs and waited for the vampires. After a few seconds Elijah strolls into the courtyard, where Francesca's brothers and their security guards are aiming guns at the vampires who are flooding in from every direction. He joins Nik and I in the centre of the room as the vampires surround them on all sides.
"I thought this lot had learnt their lesson!" My twin quips with a smirk.
"Well, they're not exactly renowned for their genius." Elijah said and I snorted.
"Yeah, a bunch of brainless morons lead by the biggest moron around." I comment, agreeing with both of my brothers, and I heard some scoffs from them. But I didn't care, I was still pissed at Marcel for the warehouse bombing.
"So, where's the ringleader of this circus?" Nik questions the crowd and he turns to face the other side of the room. "Too afraid to show his face?"
I smelled Marcel's scent before I saw him. "I'm here! And I'm gonna offer you one last chance to pack your stuff and get the hell out of my town." He said and I looked up to see him on the balcony as I scoffed at his words, a growl leaving my lips at the sight of him.

"Your town?" I questioned, a glare on my face. My tone deadly. "Last time I checked, my family and I built this town.”
"But I re-built it." He countered and I scoffed.
"You'll allow your men to rush to their deaths? Again?" My twin asked, returning to the Original subject otherwise Marcel and I will stand and debate the whole day.
"Look around. Every vampire in the Quarter is coming out! They want their city back. No surrender this time. You're gonna have to kill us all." Marcel told us, like we were supposed to care what they think. This is our home as much as it's their's and if they want a fight, I'll give them a war.
"Happily." I growled, bringing out my Hybrid face. I felt my twin's gaze on me and I turned to him and nodded, knowing his question. My heart gave a painful tug as I did so. I just gave Nik permission to break my promise to Davina. I felt guilty but I've had enough of Marcel and we've given him enough chances. I used to think of him as family, but he's lost that when he conspired against my twin.
I still haven't completely forgiven Elijah for conspiring with the Mystic Falls gang to kill us, before we broke our Hybrid curse. And he is my blood brother.
"Okay! I think I'll start with you." Nik said, unfazed. Marcel looked at me, a nervous look on his face and when I smirk at him, his eyes widen in fear.
"Fine. Then, come get me." The younger vampire challenged and sped away.
"This won't take long." Nik tells me and Elijah before speeding away, leaving me and Elijah with the rest of the vampires. Elijah confidently unbuttons his jacket as I take off my leather jacket. There is no way that I'm ruining another one of these.
"Leave some for me." I told Elijah and he looks at me with a grin.
"I can't promise you that." He replied and I chuckled as I looked at the vampire, my Hybrid face causing some of them to look uneasy and fear filling their faces.
"Gentleman." He greets. "Shall we?" He challenges and vampires start jumping down from the balconies and lunge for us, and I jump into battle-mode and start fighting. The first vampire that reaches me, lost his heart and his friend followed closely. A couple of broken neck here, a few hearts ripped out there, a Hybrid bite now and again and the army was losing it's numbers by the seconds. Some of the vampires got the bright idea to try and stake us with wooden stakes but that didn't work very well because I just took it and staked them.
Suddenly, a wave of pain ran through me but it wasn't my own, it was my twins. "NIKLAUS!" I roared out and I stopped fighting for a second and a vampire grabbed me by the neck but I quickly separated his head from his body and dropped it to the floor as worry bloomed in me. It didn't last long because the pain faded, meaning that it wasn't very bad but it was still enough for me to feel it.
I killed a couple of more vampires before I saw the were all down. The Army was either dead or dying. I looked around and saw Elijah pacing around the room and the fountain in the courtyard is full of blood.
"Are we done?" My dark haired brother questioned in a bored tone. I don't blame him - they didn't put up much of a fight but I did get rid of most of my anger.
"I believe so. That was easy." I told my brother, a grin on my face as I wiped my blood filled hands on my skinny jeans, the light blue staining with the red. Then a thought hit me, "We have to get to Nik, he's in trouble." I told my brother and his eyes widened, knowing that I wouldn't exaggerated.
I hear footsteps and turns to see Francesca walking towards us, "Well, nice job! Saved me the trouble of killing all these vampires myself!" I immediately notice the fact that she is now a werewolf and I growl at her. Like Nik, I like to make it known who is the Alpha in the room. Of course I don't dwell on it as much as him.
I heard something behind me and I spin to Elijah, to see him being bitten viciously by Francesca's brothers and I snarled loudly as Elijah is finally dropped onto the ground before I could speed over to them. Instead, I turn back to the newly turned werewolf.
"You're dead." I growled out in a low and deadly tone but a stake hits me in the abdomen before I could speed forward.
I chuckled darkly, "You think a measly little stake will take down an Original Hybrid?" I spat, my eyes glowing a vibrant gold colour, mixed with the blood red of a vampire, pulling the stake out through me and I threw it to the ground but then I'm staked in the heart from behind and I dropped to the ground, temporarily dead.
