"Was your nightmare last night about Mikael?" I spat out my drink at my twin's words form behind me and I turn to him, wide eyed, and I see Elijah next to him with worried expressions on their faces.

"How did you know?" I question them, hoping that the answer wasn't what I was thinking it is.

"Because, we've been dreaming about him aswell." Elijah answers, confirming my thoughts.

"This can't be a coincidence." I tell them, my mind whirling as I thought about possiblities.

"We were thinking that it is a witch problem." My twin says, discreetly glancing at Genevieve and I scowl deeply as a growl passes my lips, catching the attention of the people around us. I immediately calm down when a fimiliar hand slips into mine and I give Davina a warm smile.

"Well if it is, I'm going to be very pissed. That was by far the worst thing I have ever experienced." I tell them, an unpleasant shiver running down my spine.

"Well, let's go then." Nik says as he sees Genevieve leaving the party, a dangerous smile on his face and I mirror it.

"See you later, love." I tell Davina, placing a short but passionate kiss on her lips. "I love you." I whisper to her.

"I love you too." She replies with a wide smile and flushed cheeks and mirroring her, I let her go and I follow my two siblings. We end up in the Voodoo shop and Elijah and I wait in the back room as Nik talks to Genevieve.

"You disappeared from the party." I hear the red head tell my twin. I fake gag and Elijah gave me an amused smile. He nods at me and we enter the room.

"Do you care to explain why you would choose to torment us with visions of our father?" Elijah asks her in his usually calm voice. I honestly don't know how he keeps so calm all the time.

"Your father? I didn't. I wouldn't!" She denied, and seemed surprise but over the years I've learned that witches are remarkably good actors.

"Somehow, I don't believe you." I tell her, a murderous glare on my face. I did not like that dream, it was pure torture to think that I killed my Love.

"Of course, how foolish of me. It must have been that other witch that's been parading through our house in scraps of lace." I snicker at his words but then an image of Davina waring lace enters my mind and my thoughts goes in to the gutter.

"Go!" The loud words of my twin brings me out of my highly inappropiate thoughts and confusion grows in me.

"What the hell?" I ask my two brothers as Genevieve quickly runs out the door.

"Your twin decided to let our suspect go." Elijah infromed me and my jaw dropped.

"You did what?" I asked him in disbelief.

Nik walks towards us, "You don't trust her, and you're right not to. Only a fool would. But, she certainly wants us to, doesn't she?"

"Let me guess, there's something of benefit for you in all of this, isn't there?" My dark haired brother asked knowingly.

"Isn't there always?" I asked retorically, a playful grin on my face.

"I need a witch to make those rings for the wolves. Perhaps we'll get both answers and cooperation?" Nik says and my eyebrows furrow.

"Why don't you just let me have a go at them? I mean it's not like they can hurt me with their magic." I tell them and they turn to me with different facial expressions, Nik with an excited grin and Elijah with a disapproving look,

"Because I do not want this city turned into a war zone." Elijah answers me and I roll my eyes at him.

"Sometimes, Elijah, war is the only option." I retort.

"And wars have casualties, what would you do if Davina was one of those casualties?" He asked me and I stayed quiet, finally understanding his point. Hayley.

After our talk in the voodoo shop, I was about to call Davina but she called me and told me that she has to go back to the witches. I didn't know why and I didn't ask, afraid that if I did, I might just kill them all. Except, of course, for my love.

Currently we are at home, waiting around for some news about the dreams we've had about our father. I am with my twin, who has just called Bonnie Bennett and she told us some interesting things, something that made me mad but something that made me happy as well. The other side if fading away. And all of the souls in it will dissapear into oblivion. However, there's only one soul I care about.

Kol.

He's there, on the other side. And if it's gone, so is he. There will be no chance of him ever coming back. He will be gone. Always and Forever. And that is leaving me in a spectacularly foul mood, as Elijah would say.

"I asked around. It's not just your father. The purgatory where supernatural souls are trapped is disintegrating." I hear Genevieve say as my twin and I make our way to the study.

"What do you mean, 'disintegrating'?" Elijah asks her, confused.

Nik and I enter the room, "She's right... more or less. It's actually imploding. A made a call to a rather reluctant Bennett witch in Mystic Falls who said the same thing. The dead are being torn away into nothingness. And, they're not interested in going quietly." He tells our older brother.

"No, kidding." I muttered under my breath, thinking about my dream this morning. It was something I never wanted to experience again. It is still giving me shivers, just thinking about it.

"So, you're saying that our father, faced with permanent extinction, has decided to spend his remaining tormenting us? How delightful!" Elijah comments sarcastically.

"Well, us Mikaelson's do like to hold grudges and we did kill him, so..." I trail off, looking at my twin.

"Well, on the plus side, we'll soon be rid of his abhorrent soul forever. And what a good riddance that will be!" He points out and I nod.

"That is very, very true." I agree. "He's caused us enough trouble."

Genevieve sighs, "So, am I in the clear, Elijah? Or is there a new conspiracy you two would like to threaten me over?" She asks him and I smirk at her slightly pissed tone.

"Nothing springs to mind at this precise moment..." He responds.

"Oh, gee. Thanks. You got something you want to accuse me of, Lex?" The witch asks, turning to me and I can hear both of my brothers chuckle quietly, knowing that I'm going to give her an unwanted answer.

I pretend to think about it for a second before asking with a smirk on my face, "Yes, I would like to accuse you of irretating me with your existance." She rolls her eyes and both my brothers snickers at my words. She starts to leave but she stops in front of my blonde brother before she leaves.

"I have to get back to the girls. Perhaps tomorrow, after the funeral, you and I could spend some time together. Alone?" I snort at her desperate tone and she throws me a glare, to which I give her a smirk not scared at all.

"I suppose we'll have to see." My twin tell her vaguely and Genevieve sighs in annoyance and leaves. I go over to my twin and I raise my hand for a high five, he gives me one alone with a smile on his face, one that matches my own.

"Please tell me you've designed a stronger method to control the witch than playing hard-to-get?" Elijah asks Nik.

"Well, I've always been partial to the classics..." He answers and I chuckle.

"Besides, Elijah, if there is one thing that always works in getting a woman to do what you want, it's playing hard-to-get." I tell him and he turns to me.

"And I suppose you're speaking from exprience." He says knowingly and I nod.

"Not recent exprience, but yes."

"So, you've never used it on Davina?" Elijah asks me and I shake my head, 'no'.

"No, and I don't intend to either. I've already run from her once, I'm never doing it again. And I'm not making her run after me either. I know that she loves me, and I love her. So why would I ever play with her feelings? The answer is, I wouldn't."

Outside, the funeral procession is walking down the street to the sounds of the jazz music being played, behind the priests acting as pallbearers for Father Kieran. Near the end of the parade is my twin, Elijah, myself and Hayley, the latter of whom is flushed, and keeps having coughing fits. I glance at her in concern.

"You alright? You look-" Elijah starts, only to get cut of by the pregnant werewolf.

"-A hundred months pregnant and pissed off at the world?" She completes and a chuckle passes my lips.

"I was going to say you look lovely." My dark haired brother tells her with a smile, while I hum in agreement.

"You might not be my type, Hayley, but you do look very lovely." I tell her, a kind and sincere smile on my face and she returns it.

"Do you think I was the target of those bombings?" Hayley asks suddenly and I glance at her.

"The thought crossed my mind a few times." I admit hesitantly. It really did, I just never mentioned it to anyone, hoping it wasn't true.

"Of course you were the target! Were I to wage a war on the wolves, you'd be my first kill! I would string you up, for all your worshipers to see." My twin says dramatically and I laugh at his words while Hayley glares at him.

"I believe that was my brother's way of telling you he'd like you to return home with us." Elijah clarrifies and turns to my twin. "Perhaps try a different approach, Niklaus, with fewer references to murder?" He suggests.

"That's the only way he knows how." I point out but then add on, "Although I can't really talk, seeing as I'm exactly the same."

"As much as I would hate to throw you over my shoulder, and drag you kicking and screaming to the compound, we both know I will- " He smiles at her before continuing. "-for the sake of my child."

"Don't even think about it, you could hurt her and the baby." I tell him and his eyes widen, fear flashing through them and he blinks at me and I blink back.

"One bad dream, and suddenly, you want to be a responsible daddy!" Nik wraps his arm around Hayley and pulls her close, leaving Elijah standing awkwardly beside them while I watch the trio with amusement and Elijah shot me a glare when he noticed my amusement.

"Let me put this into perspective: my father lived to torment me. It is not my intention to become him. This cycle of misery ends with my child." I smile proudly at his words, knowing he's going to love and protect this child with all that he has.

"Mmm." She yanks his arm away from her with a fake smile. "You forgot one thing in your little attempt to plead your case- she's not your child. She's ours." Hayley walks away from us and starts walking down the sidewalk and I walk next to my twin and Elijah, standing inbetween them.

"Very heartfelt, Niklaus." Elijah comments and I glare at him. Feeling the glare, he turns to me and I shake my head, silently telling him not to irritate my brother and he nods.

"I bloody hate funerals." My blonde brother tells us.

"Me too." I say, scrunching up my nose. "They're depressing."

"She has a point you know." I tell my twin, nudging his side and he nods with a sigh.

"I know."
