《HER LOVE • davina claire》51 | THOUSAND YEAR OLD CHILDREN

I quickly find my twin and he hands me Davina's gift along with a 'good luck', to which I only rolled my eyes. Walking back to Davina, I see Monique standing infront of her, a sad look on her face and my anger flared and I walked to the two witches.
"Okay, I've had it with you." I snarl in a dangerous tone as I reached Davina and Monique, standing infront of my girlfriend -shielding her, my tone meant for the latter of the two.
"Excuse me?" She asks, raising her eyebrows in a challanging manner.
"You heard me." I spat. "One wrong word in Davina's direction again, and I'll rip out your heart. And magic doesn't work on me, so don't even think of threatening me with it." I threatend seriously, flashing my hybrid eyes and my tone a dark and animalistic growl. Monique's eyes are wide to the point that I think it's going to fall out right here. She just nodded, speechless from my threat and she just scurries of.
I turn to the brunette beauty slowly and warily, " I know you can fight your ow-" I don't get to finish my sentance as Davina grabs my face and smashes her lips to mine, kissing me passionately.
"What was that for?" I ask as we pull away breathlessly, like always.
"Thank you. I know I said that I can fight my own battles but, thank you." She tells me, biting her lip.
"You're welcome. I would have prefered to rip out her heart right here, but figured that this isn't the best place to make a spectacle." I tell her with a grin.
"There is another reason though." She says and I raised my eyebrows.
"Oh?"
"You...y-you looked hot. Threatening her like that." Davina tells me, blushing furiously. Chuckling, I reach forward and I place a kiss quick kiss on her lips.
"Oooh, I almost forgot, your gift." I tell her, my eyes widening slightly. I take the box out of my back pocket and I handed it to her.
"Well, go on, open it." I say, my tone excited and nervous. She opens the box and her eyes widened, her jaw slacking slightly.
"Do you like it?" I asked softly and her head snapped up to mine.
"Like it? I love it." She reached forward and hugged me tightly. Pulling apart, she takes the necklace out of the box, staring at it in awe. The lace was made from braided leather with a heart shaped pendant, made from metal. I made it myself.
"It's beautiful. Where did you get it?" Davina asks me.
"It's mine, from my human time." I tell her and she gapes at me.
"Really?" She asks me in disbelief and I nod.
"Yeah." She reached forward and hugged me once again.
"Thank you, Aleksios. So much." The sincerity flowing from her voice.

I am watching the party going on, Davina by my side with one of my arms wrapped around her waist and her arms wrapped around my torso. Placing a kiss on her head I continue watching the party. Suddenly, a large group of drummers marches into the party.
"What's going on?" Davina asks me while tightening her grip on me, her tone scared.
"I don't know, love, but don't let go of me." I tell her, my tone neutral, not wanting to alarm Davina more.
"Trust me, I'm not planning on it." She assures me and I wrap both of my arms around her, shielding her while I watch the drummers.
"Happy Fête des Bénédictions. We have a message for all of you from Marcel Gerard." The lead drummer says and a growl escapes my lips. All of the drummers take out straight razors and slice their wrists open, bleeding all over the floor. The vampires in the room start to get antsy and vamp-out at the smell of blood and panick rises inside of me.
"Control yourselves. This is a vulgar trick." I hear Elijah shout to the group. "We do not violate our agreement."
The lights suddenly go out, and I hear the whooshing of vampire speed and I know the vampires have started feeding on the drummers, as well as other humans at the party and the crowd dissolves into chaos.
I hear a vampire come near me and Davina. I quickly untangle myself from her and I rip out the vampire's heart and I drop it to the ground.
I follow Davina's heart beat and I wrap her up in my embrace.
"It's me, love." I assure her as she lets out a scream. The lights switch back on, there are dozens of dead and injured humans lying on the ground. On the walls, someone has written 'THERE WILL BE NO PEACE'. My anger flares and I let Davina go, checking her over when she notices my bloody hand.
"Sorry." I tell her with an apologetic look but she just waves me of.
"You have to help them, Aleksios." She suddenly tells me and I furrow my eyebrows.
"Who?" I ask her.
"The people. Well, the ones that isn't dead." Davina answers and I give her a 'really' look.
"Yes, really." When I still don't move to help them and she narrows her eyes at me, making her look adorable. "What if it was me, you would want someone to help me, wouldn't you?"
I groan out loud at her words, "Love, that's not fair." I whine, resisting the urge to stomp my foot.
"No it's not, but it is true." She says while grabbing me by my shoulders, turning me around and pushing me to the nearest injured human, which happened to be a male. Sighing, I kneel and I bite into my wrist. After feeding him my blood, I compelled him to forget me and to go home and get a good night's sleep.

I repeated this action until all of the injured humans was healed. "All done." I annouce as I finished compelling the last one, turning to my love, who was beaming at me. "Happy?" I questioned as I walked to her.
"Very." She tells me nodding with a smile on her lips as I wrapped my arms around her waist and she wrapped hers around my neck.
"Good." Was my reply before I placed my lips on hers.

"Marcel!" I called out as I entered his loft. Hearing him outside, I speed to him and my eyes widened as I looked at the scene infront of me.
"What happened?" I asked softly, I may be very angry with him but at the end of the day, like Rebekah, he's family - not that I'll mention that to him or Nik. Right now they are so angry with the other that they want kill each other. I'm taken aback when he looks at me with cold eyes.
"Your brother." He spat and my eyes widened.
"Nik?" I say in a questioning tone, hoping that I was wrong but the other option didn't seem much better either.
He shook his head 'no' before answering, "Elijah."
"I'm sorry, Marcel. Really." I tell him sincerely.
"So am I." He says sadly.
"Why are you here, Lex? To threaten me?" He asks me, his tone cold and I don't blame him.
"Yeah," I admit. "But it can wait." I tell him. A silence falls on us before I speak again,
"The only reason I can think for Elijah to act out like this is, that if Hayley was hurt. And if that's the case then I don't blame him because if there was so much as a scratch on Davina, I would have done the same."
"You would have killed my best friend?" He asks me.
"Yes," I tell him honestly. "I promised Davina I wouldn't kill you, so your best friend it is." I admit in honesty, because what's the use in lying?
Not knowing what else to say, and feeling guilty about my words, I speed home.

I'm in my bed, just about to go to sleep when there is knock on the door downstairs.
"Not it." I hear my two older brothers say and I sigh, knowing I have to get up and open the door.
"Seriously? What are you? Five years old or a thousand years old?" I grumbled as I got up, dressed in a t- shirt and a short pajama pants, and made my way downstairs. I grab a blood bag from the kitchen before going to the door. I open the door with one hand, holding the blood bag with my other, squeezing it's contents into my mouth.
When I see who is on the other side of the door, the blood bag nearly falls out of my grip. I swallowed the blood in my mouth and wiped my lips clean with my arm and looked at the face standing in front of me.
"Love? What are you doing here at this hour?" I question my girlfriend. "Not that I mind." I add on quickly.
"I couldn't sleep." Davina tells me. "Can I stay here? With you?" She asks me shyly with blush stained cheeks.
I drop my blood bag to the floor and I open my arms, softly saying, "Come on in, love." She shuts the door behind her and rushes into my open arms, wraps her arms around my waist and I wrap my arms around her slightly smaller body. We rest our heads on each other's shoulders and I nuzzle my face in her neck, breathing in her calming scent of strawberries and cream.
We pull apart and I grin at her before picking her up bridal style and speeding us to my room.
"Your old room is still there." I inform her once I gently sat her down. I made my way to my closet to get her a t- shirt and a short pajama pants, like I'm wearing but not identical.
"Can...can I, uh, sleep with you?" She asks as I grab the clothes in my closet and I froze, a million not so appropriate thoughts going through my mind.
Knowing she ment it in an innocent way, I clear my throat and take a deep breath before answering, "Yeah, sure."
I handed her the clothes and I got into bed and waited for her to finish up and come and get into bed.
"Lexie." I hear my twin brother call out and I hum in response.
"Good luck." He tells me, the amusement evident in his voice and I roll my eyes at him.
"At least I have a girlfriend." I shot back, making his shut up, and my en-suite's door opened and my eyes widened considerably. Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I looked at her again, seeing her walking to the bed and I move down so that I'm laying down.
Davina opens the covers and she get in my bed and she lays down, leaving space between us and I switch of my bedside lamp.
"Love?" I call out into the darkness.
"Yes?" She answers, her tone - like mine - questioning.
"Come here." I tell her and she moves over me. I wrap my arms around her waist and I gently pull her closer to me, her back to my front. I press a light kiss on her neck, making shivers run down her back and I smile on the effect I have on her.
"I love you, Davina." I tell her as I close my eyes.
"I love you too, Aleksios."
