《HER LOVE • davina claire》46 | SELF APPOINTED KING OF NOLA

A month. That's how long Davina and I has been together. Well, not officially together but people know that she's mine and I'm hers. And for now that's enough. It is also how long my sister has been gone.
"Aleksios!" An irritated voice called me. Since Davina has been back, I don't mind my family calling me by my full name again. But it's still off limits to anyone who isn't Davina or my family. I recognise the voice as Elijah's. The source of his irritation probably has something to do with my twin brother's regular redheaded guest.
"What?" I call back, amusement coating my tone, from where I am lying in my bed.
"Can you please come with me and talk some sense in your brother?" He asks me, frustration also entering his tone, my door opened and I looked over to him. His facial expression matching his voice tone.
"He's your brother too." I shot back.
"Yes, but he'll actually listen to you." He retorted and I sighed.
"Okay, fine." I cave and he smiles greatfully and leaves mumbling something along the lines of 'thank god for Davina Claire'. I smile at his words, knowing that he is talking about my mood. The last month, I have been smiling a lot more, Elijah and I have worked on our relationship after I got a speech from my Love and I have not been killing as much as I normally would. I could tell Elijah really liked that fact because it means that he only has one sibling to worry about if the other is being occupied by a certain brunette witch.
I got up and went next door, entering I said:
"Seeing as you've served your purpost, might I suggest you leave or I'll rip of your head." I threathen seriously, an innocent smile on my face. I haven't changed because I'm with Davina, I just do less of it. Nik chokes on the drink he took a gulp of and Elijah let a chuckle pass his lips. An annoyed expression creeps on Genevieve's face and I smirk, knowing I was successful in my task of annoying her.
"You really annoy me, you know?" She asks me and I nod with a smile.
"I know." I tell her, nodding with a smirk. "Just like your entire exsitance annoys me." I add on and her face falls.
"You wouldn't kill me." The red head taunts.

"Oh?" I question, crossing my arms over my chest, raising an eyebrow.
"If you kill me, Davina will leave you." She says smugly, a smirk on her lips and Elijah stiffens next to me and I see Nik's eyes widen. They both mutter 'uh oh' as I shot forward with my vampire speed. I grabbed her in a chokehold and I sped her against a wall, banging her head against the wall in the process.
"Let's get something straight," I start. "You are alive soley on the fact that you can help Davina, but the second you cease you be of use, I will rip your head of." I spat out and I tighten my grip as she struggles in my hold. I can feel my brothers presance in the room but they know not to intervere and that she brought this upon herself. Davina is my weakness and everyone knows it. They also know that if you like your life, you will stay the hell away from her and keep your mouth to yourself. Obviously, Genevieve didn't read the memo. "And piss me of some more, I won't wait until then. Are we clear?" I ask her, my tone dark. She nods her head fast and I let her go.
"Good." With that, I speed out of the room and downstairs to the kitchen.
A few moments later, Elijah joined me in the kitchen.
"Can I help you, big brother?" I question him, sipping on a blood bag.
"Our brother seems to have no interest in taking charge of the city so I am going to have to do something about it." He tells me and I turn to him.
"So let me guess, you're anointing yourself king and you want my help kicking the asses of those who stirs trouble?" I ask him knowingly, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, I wouldn't necessarily phrase it like that, but essentially, yes." He answers me with an amused smile.
"Why not? I've been looking for a good fight." I tell him with a shrug and he chuckles. "I'm going to get ready and I'll meet you there." As soon as he nods, I speed upstairs.
///
"Wow." I deadpan as I arrive at the church. At the summit, everyone is arguing over Elijah's new terms. He texted me where I should meet him.
"This is our city, too! We should be able to go wherever the hell we want!" Diego shouted.

"We would consider it an act of war!" My brother's toy yelled over Diego's shouts.
"We're getting nowhere. You vile creatures cannot agree." Father Kieran, looking agitated and pale, said and I rolled my eyes. Deciding to do what I was asked to do, I let out a roar. A silence immediately rised and everyone's eyes snapped to me.
"How the hell do you expect to get anything done if one just yells above the other one?" I ask as I walk up to the group. "Now, you are going to shut up and listen to Elijah or I will personally throw you out of this chruch and I can not garuntee that it would be with your heart entact." I tell them, glaring at the lot of them.
"Thank you. Now returning to the issue of boundaries, you will all heed to the following-" Elijah start but get cut of again.
"-Are you serious? You're dividing up the city, and the werewolves don't even get a say?" The pregnant wolf asked as she crashed the meeting.
Diego angrily stands up and points at Hayley. "What the hell is she doing here?"
"She has a name. It's Hayley and she's family, so watch your tongue." I tell him, my voice has a sharp edge in it.
"Diego, sit. We are not dividing the city. We're establishing boundaries-" My eldest living brother starts again and I sigh.
"No, Elijah! There is not gonna be a peace if the werewolves are excluded. They want a seat at the table." Hayley tells him and Diego and Genevieve both scoff. "And if they don't get one, I can guarantee that you will all regret it." Hayley threathens and an amused smile fills my lips but it falls once the leaders all begin to argue again. This time, I let them be, if they want to fight like morons, I'm not going to stop them again. My phone buzzes in my pocket, alerting me of a text.
From: Davina
Wanna grab some coffee. Our usual spot?
Me:
Yeah. Meet you there.
With a goofy smile on my lips and I look up at the group who Elijah has now calmed down but the tention is still thick. Shrugging, I speed of - knowing Elijah would be able to handle them - to meet Davina at our coffee shop. It is a small shop on the corner of a street just outside of the French Quater. We found it on one of our exploring days. It is our hide away from the supernatural world.
Entering the coffee shop, I had a smile on my face but fell as soon as I saw my Love sitting with her head hanging down. I rushed over to her and I kneeled next to her and wrapped her in a hug which she gladly returned.
"Who do I have to kill?" I ask her softly, making her chuckle.
"No one." She tells me with a sigh and we pull away but I stay in my kneeling position, ignoring the looks from the others in the shop.
"People are staring." She says, stating the obvious.
I shrugged before I answered, "I don't care. You're upset, love, and I'm not getting up until you tell me what is bothering you." A small smile spread across her face at my words and I grinned.
"Now that's more like it." I tell her, still not getting up. "But you still haven't told me what's wrong." I pointed out as she sighed heavily.
"It's just Monique being a bitch again." Davina tells me with a shrug and my eyes darken in anger. This is not the first time that Davina has been down because of this girl.
"My patience for her is running out, one of these days I'm going to pay her a visit and rip her heart out." I say with a scowl on my face but it disappears as a hand is placed on my cheek and the scowl is replaced with a soft smile.
"You don't have to fight my battles for me." She tells me as we lock eyes and she removed her hand from my cheek.
"I know I don't have to." I tell her, nodding in agreement. "But what if I want to?" I asked softly. She doesn't reply, at least not verbally. She bends forward and hugs me again.
"I'd tell you that I'm a big girl that can take care of myself." The brunette tells me and I sigh. "But if I ever need help, I'll ask." She adds on and I smile.
"That's all I ask, love."

Witch Hunt. A Warhammer Fiction
The adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt continue!Adebar von Bolstedt, fugitive noble scion of the Empire, stuck in the Great Forest of Talabecland, is gravely wounded by the bestial denizens of the dark wintery woods, only surviving due to the timely arrival of aid and relief in the form of the masters of this land. What begins as a pleasant stay with the wild noblemen of Talabecland soon becomes a matter of faith and tradition as old as the Empire itself, when he finds himself trying to root out a coven of witches from a society that prides itself on rural living and knowledge of the mysteries of the wild. This quest will either see von Bolstedt's shaken faith in his own god reforged into an intolerant blade, or shattered like ice. Word from the AuthorGreetings! Witch Hunt plays out in the much beloved Warhammer Fantasy setting (owned, of course, by Games Workshop). Do not fret, however, as I've made it a point to make the story digestible even to the uninitiated, and maybe even be a good introduction to the setting. This is the second part of the adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt, as such I recommend reading part one, titled "The Hand of Sigmar" first. While I cannot claim the places, concepts and gods etc. mentioned within as my own, the story and all characters flowed from my own fingers.
