《Changing The Course of Fate》Chapter 77 - Rampage

"You can do it," Ciaran assured as Pier stood beside him.
The young master was wearing his cloak and it now fits him perfectly since Ciaran adjusted the size. The hood of the cloak was draped on his forehead and it hid his appearance perfectly.
The young master sighed as he turned to gaze at the Vampire Prince standing beside him.
They were all now gathered back at the entrance of the second mountain where Pier had met the members of Nightfall for the first time.
Accompanying them were vampire warriors which he estimated to have reached almost up to a thousand.
Some hid in the trees while others who had high positions within the group such as Clone, Hex, and Ciaran all stood at the front.
"Who told you I was nervous?" Pier asked calmly and Ciaran observed the young master.
Indeed. Instead of having a panicked and nervous expression, Pier was all too calm.
Too calm that Ciaran himself was worrying.
"I'm just reassuring you," He spoke to the young master and Pier shrugged his shoulders.
"Thanks."
They all stared at the other side of the fence.
Just a few steps in front of them, they will enter a place that is infested with rampaging monsters.
All the participants in the operation were listless and in fear.
Even if they were vampires, creatures who can be rarely seen by humans and other creatures, even though they are powerful enough to take over a human kingdom with just a few members, they still have their weaknesses such as silver. The monsters waiting for them at the second and the succeeding mountains are not like silver but they still felt fear.
Before, they can easily deal with the monsters on the first until the third mountain, however, even some of the monsters on the first mountain are now giving them a hard time because of the glowing stone at the top of the fifth mountain.
They were in despair.
They were in agony.
Pier was their final and remaining hope of securing their home back on the second mountain.
"Are the children well?" Pier asked Ciaran and the Vampire Prince nodded his head.
"The children are accompanied by the vampires who are tasked to protect them. They will leave the mountain and find another place to stay if we fail this mission," He spoke.
Pier was pretty unsure of this 'mission' they were about to conduct either.
The reason for such uncertainty was composed of many reasons.
First among those would be the danger that is involved. It was not only the monsters that he had to worry about. Vampires other than Ciaran were also his enemies.
He did not personally know any of them and does not have any good bond too. He was a total stranger who wore a hood over his head and his face that remained unseen became a total addition to the uneasiness the vampires feel with him.
There are possibilities of vampires attacking him while they were in the middle of this mission but he still risked it.
He wanted to give Ciaran his gratitude for letting him out from the kingdom even just for more than a month.
'I'll be back in that hell hole again. Might as well do something fantastic before I go back.'
He thought as magic manifested in both of his hands.
His fire and ice swords both formed in each hand and he stood on his battle stance.
"I'll protect you," Ciaran talked to him and Pier watched the vampire also stare at him.

Ciaran's calm and vibrant green eyes were nice to look at. His huge and well-built body, along with his tall frame stood out amongst all of them present at the entrance.
"I know," Pier responded and Ciaran gave him a small smile before looking back at the entrance.
"First group, step forward," Ciaran commanded and the vampires who were tasked to form the first group emerged from the crowd and stood at the front.
"Ciaran," Pier called out after Ciaran had instructed the first group to be ready.
"Yes?" The man asked as he eyed the young master with curiosity.
"I don't want any casualties," He stated.
The plan was simple.
Since the number of vampires almost reached a thousand, they were assigned and split into different groups that will take the lead and fight the monsters that they encounter.
All while allowing Pier to pass through the mountains with minimal problems.
Surely the vampires can transform into crows but that doesn't apply to Pier. He was a being that cannot switch into other creatures and fly his way towards the fifth mountain.
"Second and the succeeding groups, prepare yourselves!" Ciaran ordered as the first group stepped forward inside the entrance.
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
Immediately after they stepped inside the entrance of the second mountain, the ground started to shake and multiple loud thuds could be heard.
From a distance, everyone saw the thing that caused the shaking of the ground.
A giant monster that looked like a mutated goat was running towards them with an incredibly fast speed.
The first group felt shivers run through their spine as they watched the enormous creature with four horns in its head make its way towards them.
However, before they could even move
"Pier!" Ciaran's loud voice called out to the young master who swiftly ran towards the beast.
Wind magic surrounded Pier's body and not just his feet. This time, he was able to move freely like the wind.
His surroundings were in a blur as his feet ran towards the enormous monster with a goat-like appearance.
"FIRST GROUP, ASSIST PIER!" Ciaran spoke in panic with the sudden actions Pier made.
The vampires immediately moved. Their fast reflexes and overall characteristics of a vampire that gave them superhuman speed made them easily move towards the beast as well.
Schaaa~
But they did not have time to react as the sound of something being frozen was heard.
There, stood on top of the monster with his back facing them was the young master.
The entire body of the giant monster had become frozen even in the shortest span of time they took his eyes away from him.
The chilling sound of seemingly unbreakable ice enclosing on the monster resonated around the entrance of the second mountain.
All vampires stood quiet as they watched the back of the person who was at the top of the frozen giant monster. He seemed so little compared to the gigantic beast but everyone at the entrance saw him perfectly.
His black coat, hooded head, and his twin elemental swords were so dazzling to look at that they held their breaths and as if the stranger's powers also affected them, they stood frozen in their spot.
Even with his entire body covered, he still produced an aura that made everyone's breath disappear.
The stranger pointed his fire sword up above his head and it burned even brighter. The flames that surrounded his fire sword blazed further as the resolution of its master became even firmer.
"Every group pair with another. Strengthen your forces and spread throughout the entire forest. We will conquer one mountain at a time!" His loud voice was heard.

"Immediately send a signal where the monsters are!" The stranger instructed but not a single vampire moved.
Immediately, Ciaran appeared beside Pier and the green-eyed man had a worried look on his face.
"Pier, what are you doing?!" Ciaran asked in utter confusion.
However, the young master's gaze was simply focused in front of them.
"Didn't I tell you this is the payment and my gratitude for your service of taking me out of the kingdom?" He asked the prince of the vampires and Ciaran was left speechless.
"I have been pondering over this the past few days but the plan is too risky" He started to explain and Ciaran listened silently.
He did not want to counter Pier's ideas especially since he was the most important person here right now.
"Each group, a few vampires will definitely die if they clashed head-on with a monster like this," He pointed out as he looked at the frozen monster right below them. It was so huge that Pier was even able to walk for a few meters around the head alone.
"I don't want anyone to die, Ciaran," Pier spoke quietly as he held his hand out. The ice sword disappeared for a moment.
After he did, he focused on the force that was on his empty hands.
Everyone watched as the monster frozen inside the ice was pierced with huge icicles in every direction.
Pier's ice magic had been trained to the limit he can achieve for the past month and now, he was able to do a variety of spells.
Blood started to taint the cold and transparent ice as the frozen monster inside bled profusely after getting pierced with the extremely sharp icicles that formed inside the ice.
It was the demonstration of a top-tier magician's power.
In a few seconds, the stranger completely froze the monster and with a movement of his hands, the giant goat with four horns was pierced to death with the stranger's magical powers.
The monster was not able to do anything but feel the pain and eventually face death inside the ice. It was completely immobile and it silently screamed as its life approached a dead end.
Ciaran watched with wide eyes as below them, the huge sharp icicles pierced the monster's insides.
He shivered.
He was scared.
The Vampire Prince of Nightfall was scared with the display of immense power.
"How..." He asked in surprise but Pier only smiled at him.
"Now, instruct the rest of your members with the same instructions I gave," Pier spoke at him while maintaining the light smile.
"I will not only help you save your home on the border of the second mountain but I will help you establish your new place at the second, third, and even the entire Mir Mountains," The young master spoke with confidence and certainty in his voice.
Ciaran's breath was taken away more with the statement.
His hope as someone who led a group of vampires for months now was starting to grow.
He saw the person standing in front of him as someone whom he can now revere as his savior.
Without second thoughts, Ciaran turned his back to face a thousand vampires who were watching them silently from afar.
"FOLLOW PIER'S COMMANDS!"
He screamed and following the instructions of the stranger that killed the enormous monster within seconds, the vampires combined into two groups as they all dispersed around the second mountain's forests.
"Now claim the entire second mountain as your new home, Fenrir," Pier spoke as his beautiful smile was seen by the Vampire Prince.
The young master raised the hand that he used to pierce the monster with his magic.
His ice sword reappeared once again and it pointed up in the sky.
"Freeze the entire land upon my orders, let the gods know about my presence and threaten them with my existence," He whispered.
It was a form of incantation that he built. Using chant-less magic took too much out of his stamina so he formed a new one where he sounded cool when using his ice magic on a large scale without jeopardizing his own magic capacity.
Immediately after chanting, white magic came out from the tip of Pier's ice sword and it spread into the sky of the second mountain.
The entire white force of magic that came out of the ice sword covered the sky of the second mountain and it started to form into clouds.
"Fall upon those whom I acknowledge as foes and let them feel the misery of despair" He continued to speak and the numerous cloud-like appearance of his ice magic started to roam the skies.
Every time a group of vampires sends a signal through dark smoke being emitted into the air, Pier points his hand in the direction and a cloud of his ice magic would go there and freeze the monster its master had identified as an enemy.
Ciaran watched as the young master expertly kill all of the monsters on the second mountain each and every passing second.
"Pier..."
It was an annihilation.
---
Slash!
Blood poured out of the monster's body as the knight expertly wielded his sword.
The monster raged further. It took continuous deep breaths as its eyes blazed with anger after getting its flesh cut open by the person.
'Tsk'
Gideon clicked his tongue as the monster was still left alive even after all the slashes he did.
Surrounding the knight and the monster were uncountable carcasses of other creatures that Gideon had slain with his sword.
Blood was smeared on Gideon's face and body. His sword was also drenched in the blood of the previous monsters he had slain right before the current one he was facing.
Neigh!
He turned his eyes to look at the horse that brought him to the Mir Mountains.
Snow neighed as she chewed on the leaves of a small tree that reached her height.
"You're really not going to help me?" Gideon asked and the horse turned its head away while it continued to munch on the green leaves.
"I guess not," Gideon spoke as he slashed his sword on empty air and the blood that was drenching it came off.
He turned to look at the monster who was glaring at him.
"Hurry up and die so I can go to the next mountain," He spoke as he pointed his sword at the beast and the creature raged further after seeing the blade that had slain the other monsters of its kind being pointed at it.
"Here I come," He smirked as Gideon's eyes emitted a bluish glow.
When he took a step forward, his entire body disappeared and reappeared right away in front of the monster. Surprised by the sudden action of its enemy, the monster hurriedly bared its fangs at him.
But to no avail,
Stab!
The sword that also emitted a bluish glow pierced the heart of the huge monster and the creature screamed in agony as it faced its end.
