Whitney is just about to lift me up so I can get out the window when we hear a gun being loaded.
" Well isn't this a sight. "
I hear Mr.Edwards say and me and Whitney turn around slowly.
" What's with the gun? "
Whitney ask shakily but tries to act calm.
" This gun is for me your new friend. "
He explains, gesturing to me as the new friend.
" You don't have to kill her! That's crazy! "
" I know you called the cops, I'm not an idiot and I refuse to let my love go, so we die together. "
He explains this in a calm voice, like we're discussing the weather.
" No, you made her life hell! I refuse to let her die like this! Not in the hands of a disgusting monster! "
Whitney screams at him with her voice coated in pure hatred, MrEdwards facial expression changes to shock along with mine. I always thought if we were in a life or death situation she would run without a glance back.
" I love you and I'm sorry. "
Mr.Edwards says, turning his eyes to me. He pulls the trigger and everything happens so fast, yet so slow, Whitney jumps in front of me, taking a bullet to the chest and falls to the ground. I look at her laying on the ground and still can't say a word, blood pours out of her mouth as she tries to speak.
" Forgive me? "
She ask and then I see the little light that was left drain from her eyes. A tear slides down my face and I look up to see Mr.Edwards standing there in shock.
" That was an accident! I didn't mean to do that! "
He yells, starring shocked at her lifeless body.
" You saw that! You know it was an accident! "
He yells at me and we hear sirens.
" Shit! "
He curses and then strides over to me, pointing the gun at my head.
" I love you but I can't let you go, don't worry I will see you soon. "
He tells me smiling. I don't move, I wait for death, I welcome it and I close my eyes.
I hear the trigger go off once again.
