Whitney clung to me for hours and hours and sobbed her eyes out while I just listened to her tell me how everything was her fault but I never said anything and I didn't try to stop her either. We hear Mr.Edwards pull up and she runs off, probably retreating to the basement and probably never going to face me again after that.

" What the fuck is this mess! "

I hear Mr.Edwards yell and I know he's talking about what Whitney told me. He's talking about Lacey and her blood everywhere due to her not cutting the right spot. I don't blame her but I don't hate her any less.

She killed herself because she was hanging onto the hope of others sense her's was gone and when my hope left she decided to give up. It was easy for her.

" Whitney clean this mess up! You're the new food girl! "

He yells and then enters the room.

" Sorry about all the yelling Lacey made a pitiful mess. "

He says shaking his head, not a trace of sorrow or guilt is on his face or in his eyes.

" So I got you a radio, I figured you needed some sort of entertainment. "

He says smiling and holding up a small radio up , then places it on the bedside table and plugs it in.

The first song that immediately comes on is " happy together" , I remember it from the movie I loved called " The Great Gatsby " and I always thought it sounded kind of creepy. It sounds like he's so calm and then he just screams like a maniac.

" Ironic that this came on, it's one of my favorite songs. "

Mr.Edwards says smiling at me.

Makes sense.

" This can be our song. "

I feel like our song would be " Milk and Cookies " by Melanie Martinez but okay.
