Chapter 24:“I Doubt That”

♡ mia's pov ♡

It's been a week since I came home from the hospital things are slowly going back to normal.

Considering it's Monday I have to go to school because mom said and I quote "you are good, you're going to school end of discussion"

What a lovely mom I have, we all know my parents just want a rest from my annoying ass, will that happen? Nah I'm staying with my parents.

"Get your flat ass from the damn bed lav" Noah yelled as he came inside my room.

"Chill you don't have to yell" I glared at him

"I don't care any more I'm going you have 10 minutes before the bell rings"

"10 minutes?! Why didn't you wake me up"

"I swear to God if you don't get your ass in the bathroom I'll end you" Noah glared as I ran for my life.

"Good" I heard him say and shut the door as he left.

'Now I know why they want me to go to school so badly'

'that's because you're annoying'

After 5 minutes, I was finished I came downstairs to see my mom cleaning the kitchen as my dad stands next to her.

"Rose, rose honey" I heard my dad say as mom kept ignoring him.

"Don't call me that" she said.

"Babe"

"You know this isn't going to change anything, right?"

"What do you mean?"

"You're still mine and you're going to be mine until we both die"

"I'll make sure to bury you next to each other" I came in and took a banana.

"No don't I want to be far away from him as possible" my mom said.

"Why though?"

"He said that I'm not giving him attention, and he is going to be depressed when I'm giving him my whole attention so now I'm not giving him my attention,till he rot"

"Keep it up, ma. I like your idea" I said as I grabbed my bag and went out of the house and inside my car.

5 minutes and I reached school, I am late for the first period. I went to my locker to grab my things and headed to my class.

"You are late, miss black" my teacher said.

"My loving brother forgot to woke me up" I smiled as she nodded and turned away.

She could careless because it's a struggle to teach both of us in the same classroom without teasing each other.

'She loves us tho'

"I finished grading your tests, so I'm going to hand them over today" she started handing the papers by the ABCs.

"Mia" she said my name as she handed my test with a big smile, I open it and looked at the grade.

'97.5'

'good enough for me'

Then I heard Noah's name and looked at his seat as the teacher also smiled a big smile.

'Damn it he did good on his test'

Noah looked at his grade and smiled a big proud, cocky smile, than he looked at me and smirked as I glared.

"How much did you get" we both said at the same time

"Ugh not this again" I heard our teacher say.

"We will say it together" I nodded

"Ha I got more than you" I pulled my tongue out as he glared, then smirked.

"You still have three quizzes to be equal with me"the thing is me and Noah study hard, so we can beat each other by who gets better grades, and he beat me by four I have three more grades to beat him, so we can be equal.

"I have to win by the end of the year" I said as Noah smirked.

"I doubt that" I rolled my eyes at his cocky response.

"Class is dismissed"

"I can't believe him"

"Who?" Cara said.

"Noah, he still has three grades better than me"

"You still do that?"

"Yup"

"dang, from the fifth grade till now"

"yes, and even if we go to the same college"

"Aren't you going to learn different things?"

"No the same thing, and we want the same college"

"and the last grade in college Is the winner"

"And what do you get from it?"

"A trip to Disneyland"

"that's a casual thing for you"

"its still fun and it's hard to convince dad to come"

"Did your mom start that 'challenge' ?"

"Yup"

"Why?"

"Because me and Noah used to go without dad and mom always wanted to go with dad so yeah"

"now I know why, you are trying to be the better kid"

"exactly, I am going to make my mom's wish come true"

"There's a big fight outside" I heard someone yell, and the whole cafeteria got up and went including us.

"Whose fighting?"

"Elijah"

Me and the girls ran and saw w big circle of people we went to the front and saw the boys standing and glaring at Alex?

I look at the fight and saw Elijah punching Alex with one hand and the other holding his shirt.

'Alex!?'

"Make them stop oh my god" Annie tried to push me to Elijah but I stand in my ground.

"No the fuck do you want me to be killed?"

"Move aside move" a girl squeezed her way to the front.

"I'm the only one that can calm them move"

"Who the fuck is that" Annie asked as she looked at the girl.

"I don't know I have never seen her before" I said.

"Elijah calm down stop shouting. I can calm them down" the girl kept yelling.

"This bitch I can't" we laughed.

"Does she even know Elijah?" Cara asked.

"Probably not" Emma said.

"The fuck are you doing Elijah will end you" a girl from the 'crowd' said.

"No I can cal-" She tried to say but got cut off

"No you can't there's only like three people that's can actually do that" another girl said cutting her off by grabbing her arm and pulling her into the big circle around the fight.

I was pushed in front of Elijah by someone, that made Elijah look at me.

"Um-" I turned around "who the fuck pushed me?" the girls raised their hands up as Mason smirked at me making me glare at him.

"Um please don't kill us" I said to Elijah.

"Come close to this boy again and I'll kill hi-" Elijah said and glared at Alex who interrupted him.

"Ow" I heard Alex said on the ground all bruised up.

"Are you okay? Let's go to the nurses' office" I went to grab Alex's arm to help him but Elijah grabbed my arm.

"No you won't" Elijah said.

"Yes I will and I'm going to talk to you later don't you dare ignore me" I glared at him and tried to get my arm out of his grip.

"Leave my arm or you are done" I said, yet he didn't leave my arm.

'Guess I have to talk to my dad'

"Fine we will talk about this" he left my arm as Mason came and glared at Alex.

'Thought so'

"I never said we won't and stop glaring at the poor boy, Mason" I looked at Mason who continued glaring at him.

"Here you go let me help you up" I took his hand and helped him as he groans in pain.

"Move I'll help him" Mason said, and he had a very faded smirk.

"No"

"I'll help him too" Elijah said.

"No"

"Please no" Alex said.

"They won't, I will" I glared at them at slapped Mason's hand who's trying to grab Alex.
