This book is special to me for two reasons. First because I've been trying to write and complete a book since 2016 but this is the very first project that I saw to the end. After writing and discarding stories for over 4 years, I finally finished a book. Second because I loved the characters I built here. I love each trait, each quirk I gave them, trying to make them as real as possible and not out of some fancy romance novel.

There were reasons why there was no character arc for Shruti and Mohit because in real life, some people do not change. Some people are heavily guarded by the delusion they create around them that doesn't allow them to see the truth. These two characters have big egos and hence, they didn't show improvements.

I chose to write from Vikram's POV because Aditya's character is very simple. Vikram is a little more complicated and hence, he has all these struggles he doesn't know how to deal with. I wanted to show his growth the most and I hope I was able to show that through the story.

Ruvee- oh man. Ruvee was an absolute delight to write. Is it possible to fall in love with your own character because goddamnit I love this girl. And I loved writing her to a point where it acted like a therapy for me. She's that friends who is constantly navigating the course of your life when you're lost. Would Vikram and Aditya even be together if it wasn't for her? A hundred percent not! LMAO.

I know it was a cliché trope and I know two 'MCs who hate each other pairing up for an assignment' plot has been done many times, and that was exactly why I didn't make the whole 'assignment' angle the main plot of the story and didn't focus on it. Instead, I made Vikram's struggles the main part. I focused more on giving these characters real voiced and I hope the characters were new and original. I tried to keep the story, their struggles, their conversations and their growth as real as possible and I honestly hope I succeeded.

As days pass, Daksh finds himself looking at Kabir with growing affection as they help each other heal, move on and resolve the past they've both escaped from... All while falling in love slowly.
