Just as I'm watching Jenny's thought bubble appear over her head, I get a notification from Cerys And The Bobble Heads. For reference, it is what it seems. Cerys with Inez, Edie and I being her bobble heads.

"I've got pizza!" I yell, knocking on Inez's door. "And doughnuts!"

The door swings open, revealing Inez in her pyjamas with her hair in a messy topknot. "Eve, have I ever told you how much I love you?"

The first thing I do is get changed into my sleepover pyjamas. It's such a silly tradition of ours, to get dressed into matching pyjamas on sleepover nights, after we accidentally matched on the first one way back in Year Seven. This year, we opted for these cute checked ones with a different colour each. Inez's are purple, mine are red, Cerys's green and Edie's blue.

"We look fab," Cerys states as I rush down to the living room.

They've already started on the pizza as well as the cheese share box they got from McDonald's with fries. How I Met Your Mother is playing on the TV, despite Edie's protests about still not being over the ending.

"Can't we watch Gilmore Girls instead?" she asks.

"I'm still on season five and you guys will ruin it," Cerys answers. "Just watch please!"

In the end, we decide watch films instead to make up for Edie's 'absolutely valid trauma' over the ending of a TV show.

"I've got a flawless combo," I say.

"Shoot," Inez replies, pulling up Netflix.

"First we watch the Legally Blonde films then Mean Girls then Clueless and then we finish the night by making fun of Mean Girls 2." I sit back triumphantly. "Top that, Eeds."

They all agree it's perfect and Inez finds the first film and presses play.

The curtains of Inez's living room are drawn, the only source of light being the TV and a lamp with brightness you can adjust. It's on the lowest setting right now, on the white-gold setting which I actually quite like. I need to get Dave to invest in one of those.

The opening credits play as we eat, everything familiar because I've seen this so many times.

I take a deep breath.

Everything is fine.

Josh is dead, sure, but other than that everything is fine.

GCSEs are coming and I haven't revised properly since I saw Josh's dead body, but still. I'm fine.

"You okay?" Inez asks, squeezing my hand.

"I'm fine," I whisper.

I'll be fine as soon as I find the killer.

That's what I'll be fine.
