"Fucking finally," Haru groaned, sitting on a chair. "I don't want to see another criminal law book again."
"I don't want to read anything by Shakespeare again," you muttered, rubbing your temple. "Analysing his poems is hard since the bitch uses old fancy English."
"I bet you're happy exams are over," your friend said. "You'll finally be going on a trip with your boyfriends."
"Yes! We'll be leaving in two days," you smiled, beginning to feel excited. "We've found a nice air BnB in the mountains for us to rest at after our long drive. I can't wait."
"Are you finally going to buss it down on the rest of your soulmates?"
"Buss it down?"
"Like, haven't you only had sex with three of your soulmates? I'm expecting that by the end of this trip, you would've had sex with all of them," your friend said.
"Have I not told you?"
"Told me what..." Haru asked, giving a side-eye.
"Actually, I've already had sex... with all of them," you softly said, scratching your nape.
"Bitch! When?" He asked. "How dare you keep me so behind. As your best friend, I'm supposed to be the most updated. What is this?"
"We didn't really see each other during exams, and I didn't want to call you because I was afraid I'd interrupt your studying."
"You know very well I care more about tea than books, you know," Haru tsked, rolling his eyes.
"That's also why I didn't call. I wanted you to focus on your books," you said. "Anyway... after Yoongi, it was Hoseok."
"Hoseok? Tell me all about it, sweetheart. How did it go down?"
"I'll give details of how we ended up doing it, but not how it was during... you know."
"I don't care. As long as I get those details," Haru shrugged. "So... tell me."
.
'In The Blur Of The Rain' played as you watched your boyfriend move across the room.
You've watched Hoseok dance before, but you've never seen him dance like this. And not to a song like this.
The two of you were currently at a dance studio. After studying together in the library, your boyfriend begged you to accompany him to a studio before you went home.
Not being able to say no to his smile and puppy eyes, you accompanied him.
Now here you were, sitting on a mat in the corner of the studio, as you watched your soulmate dance through the reflection of the mirror.
You couldn't take your eyes off him.
Something in Hoseok changed whenever he was dancing. It didn't matter whether it was the kind of song he danced to or the choreography. He always had a different feel to him.
"And... done," he breathed as the music slowly faded. "So... what do you think? It's not my usual, right?"
"It's amazing!" You exclaimed. "But it's not the full song, right?"
"Yeah... because I don't usually do dances like this. I could only choreograph the part you just heard," Hoseok smiled, scratching the back of his neck.
"It's so good, Hoseok," you smiled. "I didn't even know you knew how to dance to these slow songs. I always thought you only choreographed songs with more beats and stuff."
"I'm trying to do a little of everything," your boyfriend smiled. "Do you want to go home or continue that choreography I've been teaching you?"
"I want to show you the choreography," you told him. "It's been a while."
"Okay! How much do you think you remember?" He asked. "Should I just show you what it's supposed to look like?"
"I think I remember everything... but show me what it's supposed to be like just in case," you told him, and he nodded. "Go slowly, though. With counts and everything."
You watched as your boyfriend began to show the choreography.
"And two, three and four," your boyfriend said, showing the steps. "I think we left off at this part."
"Yeah, that's what I remember."
"Okay," he chuckled. "Come, let me show you what you're supposed to do after this step."
You got up from your position to join him in front of the mirror.
"So, starting from here, move your arm like this. Then it's one, two, three, and four. Got it?"
"Wait, could you repeat that?" You asked. "From what I just saw... I really don't think my body can move like that."
"Okay," Hoseok laughed before repeating the steps but even slower than before. "Give it a shot. Starting from here."
Your face turned in confusion before trying to imitate his stance. "Like this? Or wait, is it like this?"
"Close," he chuckled. "Raise your left arm a bit and turn your right foot outward. Like this," he explained, placing a hand on your waist and fixing your arm.
"Oh, it feels much better," you smiled. "It felt a little awkward."
"From here, you slightly turn your head this way, and your arm moves like this," he instructed.
As you locked eyes with your boyfriend, you couldn't help but feel hot.
You weren't sure if it was because of all the movement or because your back was almost pressed into him while he held your waist.
"Hobi..." you breathed.
"Hm?" He asked as he fixed your posture. "Does it feel weird?"
"No... no," you muttered. "It's just..."
"What is it, baby?" He asked, finally looking at you again. "Is something wrong?"
You could say it took him two seconds to read the room before he softly smiled.
Hoseok suddenly hugged you from behind before resting his chin on your shoulder.
"It's just..." You couldn't even speak.
Your boyfriend chuckled before burying his head in the crook of your neck and placing soft kisses from your neck down to your shoulder.
"We're supposed to be dancing," you squirmed, trying to get him to stop.
"I know," he muttered. "But it seems like you want to do more than dancing."
Your eyes widened when he suddenly turned you around and had you pinned against the mirror.
"Can I?"
You weren't sure what he was asking permission for until you felt his hand slide up the back of your shirt and clasp on the hook of your bra.
"I didn't want our first time to be like this... but I don't think I can wait until we get home."
"What if someone walks in and sees us?" You said, eyes glancing to the door.
"Usually, the building's empty around this time. And the door's locked too," your boyfriend said before leaning in. "But, in case someone's here, I suggest you do your best to keep that pretty mouth shut."
And then he kissed you.
.
"Holy shit... I never expected Hoseok to be the type to do it in public. Even though it wasn't really public," Haru gasped. "Who was in control?"
"He was. Actually, I let everyone be in control," you told him.
"What do you mean?" Your friend asked in confusion. "You let everyone be in control?"
"As much as I enjoyed being in control, I think I prefer being controlled. After dominating Yoongi, I let everyone else dominate me," you smiled. "Jin, Taehyung and even Jungkook. I didn't bother fighting for dominance with the three of them."
"Why do you say, and even Jungkook?" Haru asked.
"Surprising, like me, Jungkook's a sub. He's always been one because of the others," you explained. "So... I was surprised when he took the lead."
"Ah... so did you have him after Hoseok?" Your friend asked, and you shook your head.
"Jungkook was actually last," you chuckled. "After Hoseok, it was Seokjin."
.
"How come you don't ever close your door?" Jin asked, leaning against the door frame.
"I don't find the need to. Plus, it saves me the energy of shouting: come in every time one of you wants to speak to me," you told your boyfriend. "Anyway, what's up?"
"Oh, I was wondering if you wanted to do that spa thing we did a while ago. You know, where we pranked the others," he said, showing a pack of face masks. "If you're not busy, though. I slowly want to empty the skincare products in my room."
"Sure," you smiled. "Let me bring some of my own products. Oh! I also bought these fluffy headbands. Let's use them."
"I'm thinking of doing it in my room this time. We can wash our faces in the bathroom, then apply what we want in my room," Jin said. "If that's okay with you."
"That's fine."
.
"I'm almost done," you said, poking his cheeks. "Are you sleeping?"
"Nope," he smiled, opening an eye. "I feel like it would be weird if you massaged my face, and I kept my eyes open the entire time."
"And... done," you smiled, taking your hands off your boyfriend's face. "How do you feel?"
"Relaxed," he chuckled, holding your waist. "We should do this more often."
"Yeah... but not the face massages. I only have one set of hands. I can't go through seven people in one night," you said, wiggling your fingers.
"We don't have to do face massages," he chuckled. "Or we could learn how to give a face massage and take turns."
"So, does this mean when it's my turn to receive a face massage, you'll straddle me, too?" You asked, placing your hands on his cheeks.
"Probably not," Jin said. "I'd do it standing while you sit on the bed or something. But I highly doubt I'll ever straddle you."
"Since I'm done, I should probably get off," you said, wanting to get off his lap.
"Why?" Jin asked, keeping you down by your waist. "You don't have to get off just because you're no longer messaging my face," he frowned. "I like you like this."
You smiled before pecking his lips. "So, how long do you plan on keeping on you like this?" You asked.
"Until I feel like I've had enough," he shrugged. "But that would take a while because I don't think I could ever have enough of you," he mumbled, resting his head on your chest.
"Really?" You asked, playing with his hair.
"Yeah," Jin said, looking up at you. "We could sit and talk about the most random shit, and I wouldn't mind. As long as I'm with you, it's okay."
"I'm so jealous," you suddenly muttered, running your thumb over your boyfriend's bottom lips.
"Why?"
"Your lips. They're plump and thick," you pouted. "And then you get mine."
"No need to be jealous, baby," Jin chuckled. "You have nice lips, too," he smiled before pecking them. "Perfect."
"Jin..." you whispered, inching closer to his face.
"Hm?"
"Can I kiss you?" You asked, locking eyes with him before looking at his lips.
"When have you ever had to ask, hm?" He asked, pulling you closer. "Go ahead and kiss me, sweetheart."
.
"Just like Jimin, Jin was more on the gentle side," you smiled.
"That's so cute," Haru gushed. "To the point it's gross, but it's cute. Since you told me Jungkook was last... That means Taehyung's next. Right?"
"Right."
"So... how did it go down with him?"
.
"Can anyone help me?" You called, trying to zip up the back of your top. "If I knew I'd struggle to zip this thing, I probably wouldn't have bought it," you angrily muttered.
"y/n?" Taehyung asked, sticking his through the crack in the door. "Oh, sorry-"
"No, no. Please come in. I need your help," you whined. "Can you please zip this up?"
"Oh, sure," he said, walking in and closing the door behind him. "I see you're all dressed up. Are you going somewhere?"
"I'm going for dinner with Haru," you told him. "We haven't gone out in a while. So he told me to get ready as he'll pick me up in a few."
"Oh, okay," He said, zipping up the top. "And... zipped. You're ready to go."
"Thanks, Tae," you smiled. "What do you think? It's not something I'd usually wear. Is this too much?"
Taehyung placed a finger on his chin as he examined your outfit through the mirror.
Taehyung couldn't help but silently admit that you looked good... a little too good, in his opinion. Everything from the white corset top to the split skirt that hugged your hips looked good.
"You look... good," he mumbled.
For some reason, he couldn't take his eyes off you. There was something that kept him from looking away.
"Really?" You smiled, and he nodded.
Taehyung suddenly hugged you from behind and buried his head in the crook of your neck.
"Tae?"
"How much time do you have to leave?" He mumbled as he began to place gentle kisses on your neck.
"Not much," you whispered. "Haru will probably be here in five or something... Fuck, Tae."
"Do you think you can postpone?" He asked, locking eyes with you through the mirror. "I don't think I can let you go out tonight."
Your eyes widened as your boyfriend slowly began to unzip the top he zipped for you.
"T-Tae," you gasped. "Not tonight... I need to go out-"
"Please?" He asked, turning you around and pressing his forehead against yours. "Tonight is all we'll need. You can hang out with Haru some other time."
"But-"
You didn't know what to say. You really wanted to go out with your best friend like in the old days, but how could you when your boyfriend was like this?
Taehyung rubbed his thumb over your bottom lip before pulling you in for a kiss.
"Please, baby?" He asked, pulling away. "Hm?"
"Fuck, Haru's calling," you whispered when your phone began to ring. "Let me tell him something came up."
"Answer the call," Taehyung said, taking off your top. "Before I answer and tell him what's really going on."
.
"You bitch," Haru gasped. "So that night you ditched me, you were busy getting dirty with your boyfriend?"
"Sorry. I couldn't help it..." you giggled.
"How could you postpone our plans to have dick?" Your friend frowned.
"What're you complaining about? You would've done the same if Seungmin suddenly did the same," you huffed, playfully rolling your eyes.
"Okay... I probably would," he laughed. "I didn't expect Taehyung to be the type to do something like that."
"Those guys can be pretty unpredictable," you chuckled. "Now, let me tell you about Jungkook."
.
No matter how much you tossed and turned, you couldn't seem to fall asleep.
You tried watching something on Netflix, but there wasn't anything entertaining enough to keep you entertained or boring enough to make you sleep.
It was two in the morning, and the only soulmate who'd be up at this time would be Jungkook. He recently got into gaming. And on weekends, he'll stay up late playing games.
Taking your phone off the charger, you decided to give him a call and see if he was awake.
The phone rang for a few minutes before the call was answered.
"You're up," you smiled.
"Hello to you, too, baby," Jungkook softly chuckled. "Why're you awake?" He asked. "Are you okay?"
"Mhm," you hummed in response. "I'm just-"
"Fuck," you heard him groan. "I almost died... Sorry, baby, what were you saying?"
"I-I'm just bored," you muttered.
Jungkook's face turned in confusion. He paused the game before taking his phone off speaker mode and bringing it to his ear. "You? Bored? At this time?"
"Mhm..." you hummed. "What game are you playing?"
"COD," he said. "Why are you still up?"
"I already told you... I was bored," you whispered.
Jungkook knew you were calling him for other reasons. Your vague explanation for calling so late and the hush in your tone told him otherwise.
"Baby," he said.
"Hm?"
"Do you want me to come to your room?" He asked, raising a brow.
"Yes, please," you muttered, causing him to smirk.
"What for?" He asked, turning off the computer. "Do you want me to help you sleep?"
"Please."
"Shit, I'll be there now," he said, quickly getting up. "I want you to open the door for me and let me in."
As soon as the call ended, Jungkook quickly took off unnecessary pieces of clothing like his beanie and socks.
You swore Jungkook was at your door less than a minute after you ended the call because he was knocking on the door just after you had plugged in your phone.
You purposely took a while to open the door, so you wouldn't make yourself look desperate.
But as you opened your bedroom door, Jungkook's lips were on yours, and you were immediately picked up.
Jungkook closed the door before gently laying you on the bed. "Fuck, I've waited so long for this. You look so pretty."
"Please, Jungkook," you begged, tugging at his shirt, wanting him to continue kissing you.
"Patience, baby," he chuckled. "I'm going to take my time and savour every inch of you."
.
"Oh... my... gosh!" Haru squealed. "That's so hot!"
"Lower your voice, will you?" you groaned when you noticed students looking at you.
"Sorry, but I can't help it," he whined. "I thought you were studying the shit the entire time. But no, you were busy spreading those legs."
"Don't say it like that," you cringed. "I was studying... this didn't happen during the exams after all."
"I know, but you like to study in advance. So instead of studying in advance like you usually do, you were getting down," your friend cackled.
"Shut up," you huffed. "You were probably busy with Seungmin."
"You're not wrong," Haru snorted. "Anyway, are you planning anything special to do during the trip?"
"The guys and I aren't planning on doing anything special in particular..." You said.
"What's the but?" your best friend asked. "I can sense a 'but', y/n. What is that?"
"But... you could say I'm planning on doing something special for them? I don't know."
"What're you planning?"
"I thought about what you said about getting married..." you began. "And honestly, it's not a bad idea. But I think we'll only get married after we're done with school."
"So?"
"Even though we'll only get married after school, that won't stop me from proposing, though," you said, causing Haru's eyes to widen.
"Are you really...?"
"Yep. I'm planning on proposing during our trip," you smiled.

The Twelve
In a world marred by the supernatural, Japan suffers from its own fair share of evil and demonic disasters, with generations of shamans known as Onmyoji protecting their homeland from these forces of evil. Capable of wielding magic and using spirits of their own, these shamans were not only skilled in battle, but also divination. However, they were unable to correctly predict Japan's loss in World War Two, and suffered the punishments that followed. Persecuted and torn apart by infighting, the Onmyoji reunited under the banner of the Tsuchimikado clan, descendants of Abe no Seimei, one of the greatest Onmyoji to ever live. The Onmyoji began to rebuild and to regrow. Ren is the sole heir to the Tsuchimikado family, but has been unable to practice Onmyodo ever since his birth, even though he possesses the greatest ability in the family. But when disaster befalls his family, Ren has nobody to turn to, and no idea how to use his powers. As he journeys to escape the same fate his family faced and attempts to learn how to use his powers, there is only one question on his mind; as the Tsuchimikado heir, how can he save the Onmyoji... from themselves? ---------------------------------------------- note from author: I'm writing this based loosely on the very real theories of Onmyodo, and so my writing may not be a truthful or accurate depiction of Onmyodo or other related areas, such as religion, for instance. That is why, while depicted in the real world, events that happen may seem unrealistic and it may be easier to imagine it as a parallel universe that is the same as ours, but with slight differences so that my possible errors will be easier to overlook. Sorry, and thanks!
