"Hey, ma," you smiled when your mother answered the call. "How are you?"
"You haven't called me in a while because you've been busy with your soulmates," your mother huffed. "And the first thing you want to ask me is how I am?"
"Then what else am I supposed to ask-"
"You should be filling me in! Since you haven't had time to call me because of those boys, I'm sure a lot has happened. Now spill."
"Mom!" You laughed.
"What? I've heard you whine about how over you were about not finding at least one of them for years! To make up for the torture, you should be telling me about your little dates and stuff!"
"Gosh, mom," you sighed. "Can I get to the reason why I called?"
"Are you calling me to tell me something about you and your soulmates?" Your mother asked. "If it doesn't, then I don't want to hear anything."
"Ma..." you chuckled in defeat. "It does-"
"Oh! Then tell me! What's up?"
You couldn't help but laugh at your mother's excitement.
"I was wondering if we could come by for a visit this weekend?" You asked. "I think it's about time you got to meet them."
"Fucking finally. I've been waiting!" your mother groaned. "Of course it's okay! I'll make a lot of food and prepare the photo album so-"
"Ma," you sighed.
"What?" She asked. "I have to show your boyfriends what a difficult child you were."
"Baby?" Jungkook asked, sticking his head into your room. "Are you on the phone?
"Who's that? Put me on speaker! In fact, switch to video!" Your mother exclaimed, causing you to remove your phone from your ear with a wince.
"Jungkook, come here. My mother wants to see you," you smiled, patting the spot next to you.
"Mom, can you see us?" You asked, resting your head on your soulmate's shoulder.
"Yes! And who is that fine young man?" Your mother asked, wiggling her eyebrows. "I think I know who he is..."
"How would you know who he is? You haven't seen any of my soulmates."
"Don't worry. Just let the boy introduce himself... I wanna see if my guess is right," your mother said.

"Introduce yourself," you whispered to him.
"I'm Jungkook," he smiled. "And uh... I don't know what else to say. Oh! I'm the one who found y/n!"
"Aha! My guess was right. You're the one who left without telling her why her wrist was itching," your mother said, causing your boyfriend to look away.
"Uh-"
"How did you figure that out?" you asked wide-eyed. "I don't even remember describing Jungkook to you. I only told you his name."
"I just know, sweetie. Anyway, Jungkook. Your reaction that day is understandable! You were probably flustered and didn't know how to react."
"Yeah..." Jungkook awkwardly smiled, not knowing what to say.
"y/n!" You could hear Taehyung calling.
"Looks like we need to go, ma. We'll see you this weekend!" You smiled. "Bye!"
"Bye, y/n's mom."
"Bye, sweethearts!" Your mother waved with a huge smile. "See you this weekend!"
Once the call ended, Jungkook let out a sigh.
"Why did you make me speak to your mother with video call when I look like this?" He whined. "My hair is messy, and I haven't even done my make-up."
"You look cute with messy hair, my love. And I prefer bare-faced you," you chuckled. "Let me go see what Tae wants."
"No make-up on. I love that sh-" you sang as you walked out of the room.
"You so damn beautiful. I swear you make me sick," Jungkook mumbled, following behind you.
You found Taehyung in the living room, sitting with Hoseok and Jin.
"You called?" You asked.
"Yes! Sit here," he said, patting the spot between his legs. "And Kook, you can sit next to me."
"What's up?" You asked, making yourself comfortable while your soulmate began to play with your hair.
"We're nervous..." Taehyung sighed. "I mean... we're meeting your mother."
"She's not scary. My mother is pretty chill," you smiled. "So don't worry too much."
"Yeah! I just talked to her... y/n's mother is fine." Jungkook said. "But should we get her something?"
"I'm already giving her a tea set. I think that's enough," you shrugged.
"I feel like gifting her something else, though. I mean... the tea set is from you, her daughter. I feel like... we should give her something as her daughter's boyfriends." Jin sighed.

"Is there anything your mother likes?" Hoseok asked. "Like jewellery, food... I don't know."
"Although my mother is more of a simple person, she does like things that are kinda fancy," you said. "Jewellery, perfumes, essential oils and diffusers."
"Do you think we should get her a necklace and stuff?" Taehyung asked.
"Anything is fine as long as it's not extra," you sighed. "I just feel like you guys are going to go overboard."
"We won't!" Taehyung smiled.
"You know damn well we probably will," Jin chuckled. "No promises, y/n. But we'll try not to."
"Oh, I have something to tell you guys," you said. "Don't be surprised or anything like that.
"What is it?" Hoseok asked.
"I picked up a part-time job!"
.
"Oh, y/n! It's been a while!" Wendy gasped when she saw you walk into the store.
"Hey!" You smiled.
"How's life, babe?" She asked, making her way around the counter to greet you.
"Life is going good right now. I'm visiting my mom this weekend, and my sculpture is almost done. I'm picking up a part-time job since I feel like selling art isn't enough."
"You're the new part-timer?!" Wendy asked, and you nodded.
"I'm not a fan of meeting new people, so I figured I'd work here since I already know someone," you smiled. "Care to show me around?"
"Of course! Come, come. Since we sell more than soft serve, and customers can easily pick out want they want, all we usually need to do is to stand behind the counter. But when a customer does pick out soft serve, we obviously need to put their ice cream in either a cone or cup and put their chosen topping for them." Wendy explained, showing you around.
"Back there is the staff room. There aren't a lot of people who work here. It's me, Jackson, Soojin and Jae-chan. You'll meet them or not, depending on your working days. Let me show you inside."
You followed Wendy into the staff room.
"What kind of people are they?" You asked, looking around. "I didn't expect it to be this big."
"They're all pretty chill! From my experiences with them, at least," Wendy shrugged. "But I'm sure you'll be able to see how Jackson is. He should be coming for his shift soon."
The doorbell rang, meaning someone had just walked in.
"Oh! It's probably him," Wendy said. "Give it a second, and we'll-"
"Hello! You know what it is! Annyeonhaseyo~" A voice exclaimed. "I'm here!"
"-Know." Wendy chuckled. "Gosh, Jackson."
"Is he always like that?" You asked with wide eyes.
"Not always. Jackson can be pretty chill when he wants to be. He can be really loud and annoying. But that's Jackson for you."
The door to the staff room opened, and a male walked in.
"Hey, Wends. Oh! I see a new person," He said. "Hi, I'm Jackson. Jackson Wang."
"I'm y/n. Choi y/n," you smiled, shaking his hand. "I'll be working here from now on."
"I'm looking forward to working with you, y/n. I work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Around this time," he told you.
"Oh! We'll definitely be working together. I work Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I'll be working around this time too!"
.
"Oh! That's good. But why?"
"I want to earn the morning to buy something, and I don't think selling art will make enough for what I want to get. Plus... I need to contribute more around the house. I've officially moved in," you explained.
"Ah... makes sense," Jungkook said. "I hope your coworkers treat you well. I've worked with some shitty coworkers, and it was horrible."
"Jackson seems like a nice and fun person to be around! I'll see how Soojin is on Wednesday since she works on the same days and times I do."
This week was going to be eventful for you.
If everything goes according to plan, your sculpture should be finished by Friday, and your literature assignment should be submitted by Thursday. Let's not forget you'll meet your mother on Saturday.
You also have a job now. One that you must work hard in if you want to earn enough money to buy the things you want and contribute to the bills.
"I think I need to go and make dinner," Jin sighed. "I'm too lazy to cook on my own, so who wants to help?"
"Me!"
"No way I'm letting all of you assist me in the kitchen at once. That's going to be chaos!"
