"I'm treating you guys," Jayden said. "It's to make up for the number of times I had to leave in the middle of work."
"How many did I tell you that was okay?" You whined. "Your soulmate was sick and-"
"Shush, y/n. I'm treating all of you and not taking no for an answer," Jayden said, causing you to sigh. "Okay, Jayden..."
"If someone offered to buy me a meal, I'd say yes with no questions asked. Like? Who says no to a free meal?" Sora asked. "Oh wait, y/n does."
You playfully rolled your eyes and slapped her shoulder.
"Ow! That actually hurt," she whined, rubbing her arm. "Good. It was supposed to hurt."
"Is Jin working?" Mingyu asked, and you shook your head. "Not this evening. Why? Do you want to talk to him or something?" You asked, raising a brow. "Just curious, I guess," he shrugged.
As the four got closer to the cafe, you saw a familiar figure walk out.
'Are my eyes fooling me, or is that Joonie?' You asked yourself, squinting your eyes. 'I should really look into seeing an optometrist. This poor eyesight...'
"I'm going to eat as much as I can and want since Jayden's paying!" Sora said, skipping ahead. "Hey! I'm a struggling student. Let's not do that!"
"y/n!" You looked behind you to see your boyfriend and his soulmate. "Haru?" You asked with wide eyes.
"I've never seen you with anyone other than me and your soulmates until now. Wow... you have friends!" He said once he had reached you. You rolled your eyes.
"What're you guys even doing here? Hi, by the way, Seungmin."
"Hey," he smiled. "We were just walking around, and he happened to notice you."
"Anyway, are these the juniors you're working with?" Haru asked, and you nodded.
"Hi, I'm Mingyu... but please call me Namkyu..." You were confused before remembering Jayden, and Sora knew him as Namkyu.
"Ah... so this is Mingyu," Haru whispered, and you nodded. "By the way, where are you four off to?"
"That cafe. We're going to eat a little something," you told your best friend, pointing at the cafe. "Wanna join us?" You asked.
"Hm, okay. What do you say, love?" Haru asked, and Seungmin shrugged. "I don't see why not."
The four of you finally caught up to Sora and Jayden, who were still bickering about Jayden's money.
"This is my best friend, Haru and his soulmate Seungmin. They'll be joining us if that's okay with you guys," you said, gesturing to the two males.
"More people! Yay!" Sora exclaimed. "I'm Sora! Yun Sora. And this is Jayden. Jayden Kim or Kim Jayden."
"I like your energy," Haru chuckled. "I kinda see us being good friends!"
"Should we go inside?" You asked. "Mhm! I want to spend Jayden's money~" Sora sang, wiggling her shoulders, causing you to laugh.
"Sora!" Jayden whined. "Spending Jayden's money!" Mingyu suddenly sang, pumping his first.
"Not you too!"
"y/n, you four go inside. We'll join you in a bit," Seungmin said, and you nodded. "Okay."
.
So when you walked into the cafe with Mingyu and two other people she didn't recognise... she saw red.
"Oh! It's y/n," Nari said when she noticed your figure as she whipped a table not too far from the entrance. "And oh- why is that woman angrily stomping towards her?"

Lia wasted no time getting up from her seat and walking up to you.
"You," Lia said, pointing her finger at you. Your eyes widened before you awkwardly smiled. "Oh, Lia-"
"You fucking bitch!" She creamed before slapping you across the face. "Why the fuck did you have to come into the picture? You just had to steal everything from me?"
"Lia! What the hell?" Mingyu gasped, immediately standing in front of you to prevent Lia from harming you further. "And you!" She said before slapping him too. "Why can't you just keep your big mouth shut? Had to tell the boys I left you because you-"
Nari pulled out her phone and dialled Jin's numbers as she just watched the drama unfold. 'As an employee, I'm supposed to be stopping this, but...'
"Namkyu!" Sora exclaimed. "Lady, what the hell is wrong with you?"
"Lia, what the heck?" You asked. "Are you insane?"
At this point, Lia didn't care if customers and employees were looking at her.
"Namjoon just ended our relationship because of you! He said he wanted nothing to do with me because of your stupid ass!"
"Jin.. you and your soulmates might wanna come to the cafe. Some lady is going ballistic on y/n and her friends. She's slapped y/n and one of the guys," Nari said. "I think I should call the police."
"Because of me? Are you sure it's not because of you? You decided to act obsessed and go to some weird lengths just to get their attention. Getting jealous because they were paying more attention to me. Taking photos of me helping someone and making it seem like I was cheating? If you're going to try and make me look bad, at least try to do better." You scoffed.
"If you hadn't decided one soulmate wasn't even for you... and didn't do all that shit. Your friendship with Namjoon wouldn't have changed. Now look, your best friend left you, and your real soulmate probably doesn't want you back anymore," you chuckled.
"It's not probably, y/n. I'd rather die single without a soulmate than take Lia back," Mingyu muttered. "I wasn't thinking straight when I said I'd leave and do that shit all over for her again."
"Wait, she's your soulmate who left you?" Jayden asked. "This is Lia?" He asked again, and Mingyu nodded.
"What's going on?" Haru asked, walking into the cafe. "I was in the middle of making out with my soulmate when we heard some commotion- oh. There's a crazy-looking lady here. Wait, oh my God, is this Lia?"
"Looks like they're dragging this Lia person," Nari commented. "Dude, should I call the police? Or maybe a psych ward? I think they've got a patient on the loose..."
"God, is it that bad?" Jin asked. "Other than a slap, has anything happened to y/n?"
"Nah. Your babe is fine. She's been giving the lady a piece of her mind."
"Crazy lady? What the fuck did you just call me?" Lia asked.
"Are you not crazy? Ma'am... you're throwing a tantrum in a cafe because somebody's soulmate rejected you... Not to mention people are trying to eat in peace. Anyone would think you're crazy," Haru told her.
"I don't know what the hell Namjoon said to you, but from what you told me... your friendship ended, right?" You asked. "Just like your friendship... your obsession with my boyfriends should end too."

"Get here soon. I'm tempted to take your girlfriend home with me... she's hot," Nari said.
"Omg. Yoo Nari!" Jin groaned. "Yoongi, drive faster, please. One of my coworkers who's been interested in having a lesbian foursome wants y/n."
Nari laughed before drawing her attention back to the drama. "Drama-mama-mama... All I see is drama."
"Who even are you?" Lia asked, running her fingers through her hair and turning to face Haru.
"Me?" Haru asked, pointing to himself. "I'm this one's boyfriend and this one's best friend. You are...?"
"Ugh-"
"Why is this woman acting like the typical dramatic bitch in k-dramas when she realises the boy she likes has feelings for the girl she hates or bullies?" Sora whispered.
"Right? It feels like we're in a high school k-drama," Jayden said. "Only thing is... y/n isn't being the typical shy girl who lets herself get bullied."
"I'm pretty sure Namjoon said he doesn't want you to contact us or come to our house," you said. "I'm going to ask you to do the same. If you decide to show up at our house, I swear to God I won't hesitate to file a restraining order against you."
You were just so tired of Lia and her behaviour.
You turned to your friends and smiled. "Sorry, guys. How about we go eat somewhere else? Where there isn't so much chaos," you asked.
"We can go to my cafe. It's a bit of a distance, but that should be okay," Seungmin offered. "Plus, you haven't been there in a while."
"Yeah... let's go there," you said before turning to the customers and the staff behind the counter. "Sorry for all the unnecessary chaos. We'll see ourselves so you can continue in peace!"
"Okay, so the crazy lady went silent, and y/n's apologising for the disruption. I think they're going to eat somewhere else. Seungmin's cafe or something like that," Nari said, updating Jin.
"I think we know where they're going. Thanks for letting me know, Nari." Jin thanked, letting out a sigh. "I'll see you at work tomorrow."
.
"That was... eventful," Seungmin breathed. "Who the hell even was that?"
"Some girlie who's obsessed with y/n's soulmates. We don't need to worry about that woman anymore," Haru told him.
"Anyway, who was that in there, y/n?" Haru asked. "That wasn't the weirdo I befriended. That was somebody totally different!"
"Right? y/n looked so cool in there! And dare I even say she looked hot," Sora gasped. "Just like your friendship... your obsession with my boyfriends should end too.' Miss ma'am!"
You couldn't help but laugh. "Ah... I know I said, ''Let's find somewhere else to eat", but I don't think I can."
"That's totally understandable. I was surprised you still wanted to get food after all that," Jayden said. "Are you okay, by the way? Your cheek?"
"Oh, don't worry. For someone who seemed furious, I expected more," you chuckled.
"Anyway, Mr Namkyu.. or should I say Mingyu? You, sir... have a lot to explain." Sora said, glaring at her friend. Mingyu smiled. "I guess it's about time I told y'all my story."
"We're going to," Haru said, with a big smile on his face. "I'd love to hear everything from your side, but... we have some business to attend to."
You knew what business those two had to attend. I mean... Seungmin was busy telling your best friend how hot he was.
"Hm, enjoy you two," you said. "I think I'm also going to go. I need to talk to my soulmates and stuff."
"Ah, do you want us to go with you?" Jayden asked, and you shook your head. "No. I'll be fine. Enjoy your storytime."
After convincing them you were fine, the three left, leaving you alone. You pulled out your phone only to see a bunch of texts and missed calls.
"Woah... so many missed calls. Is something wrong?" You muttered before calling Jin.
"y/n. Thank God you picked up! We were worried," Jin sighed, causing your brows to furrow in confusion. "Are you okay?"
"I'm okay. Why were you worried?"
"Well, Nari kept me updated on what was going down at the cafe. Anyway, where are you, love?"
"I'm not that far from the cafe. We didn't feel like eating after all that, so the group split up," You said, looking around.
"Namjoon should be there soon. He's probably running back to the cafe since we let him know what was going on-"
"y/n!" You looked up to see your boyfriend running up to you. "You're right," you chuckled. "Namjoon's running towards me."
"We'll find you two soon. I'll call you again, okay?" Jin said, and you hummed in response. "Okay. Love you."
"Love you too, baby," and he chuckled before ending the call.
"Let me see your cheek," Namjoon breathed once he reached you. "Hello, to you too, Joonie."
"Sorry... I was worried about your cheek... Hello, y/n," he smiled before wrapping his arms around you and pecking your lips.
"There's no need to worry. My cheek is fine. Lia didn't even slap me as hard as I expected her to," you chuckled. "See, it's fine!" Your boyfriend smiled before placing a gentle kiss on your cheek.
"What was that for?" You asked. "What? Do I need a reason to kiss my girlfriend? Hm?"
"No," you giggled. "Do I need to give you a reason if I said I wanted you to reserve yourself for me tonight?"
"What?" Namjoon coughed, looking at you with wide eyes.
"Did that sound weird?" You asked. "Sorry-"
"Sorry for what? Don't worry, baby. Even though it's a bit out of nowhere," he chuckled. "I'm all yours tonight."
You smiled before pulling him in for a kiss.
"Now I'm curious to know what got you excited... How do you want sex after getting slapped and stuff," Namjoon asked, and you shrugged. "Are you... a masochist?"
"The fuck is that? I lost my virginity not too long ago... how do you expect me to know all that?" You asked.
"Oh... looks like we'll be trying out a lot of new things," he told you, and your brows furrowed in confusion.
"Stop being gross and get into the car," Yoongi called. "As much as I love seeing you guys love each other... you're in public!"
"We're coming!" Namjoon laughed. "Let's go, baby."
"Wait, what do you mean we'll be trying out a lot of new things? What's that supposed to mean?" You asked as he pulled you to the car with him.
"You'll find out at home, my love. Probably only after dinner, but you'll find out."

Enigma's Multiverse: Rewrite
This novel was rewritten with the following goals in mind: -A 'human' MC, that struggles underneath the weight of his past emotions and slowly grows as a person as he deals with past trauma and regret. A relatable protagonist whose actions are in line with his motivations, who may be amiable or ruthless depending on the stakes presented. (Caucasian male protagonist, set in the modern world with alien 'induction' into the cultivation world.) - Competent antagonists that have their own goals and ambitions, instead of always targeting the MC for plot convenience. - An original cultivation system. - Interesting and well fleshed out enemy archetypes. - Hell mode challenge right off the bat. - Lots of action and fighting with psychological elements. - My vision of what a cultivation novel should be like. This is the rewrite of the original Enigma's Multiverse, the first version reads more like a skeleton or a first draft as it was my very first work and I've come a long way since then. A lot of things from the original will be tweaked/enhanced, so it might just end up as a completely different work. Cover Credits- Instagram @just_anime_art_things
