Jimin was dancing. He gracefully moved to the song's rhythm and put all of his distress into the choreography. Foot forward. Back. And forward again. He didn't remember the last time he danced like this. The last time he danced to relieve himself of his stress.
You accepted me
Without you, I am nothing
After the dawn, two of us
Jimin slowly raised his arms as if he was reaching for something before they dropped quicker than they were raised. Drag and step. Drag and Step. One step forward. Back. Forward again.
I remember back then
We burned up the last of my teen's
Yes, the days when we couldn't see an inch in front of us
We laughed, we cried.
He looked at his reflection before he gripped his hair with his hands, gripping on the strands before they dropped to his sides.
The sound of his fast footsteps on the wooden floor filled the room as he moved from one side of the room to another. He looked at himself in the mirror before he closed his eyes and did a passe chug hop step.
Yeah, yeah, I remember back then
When I was fed up and lost
Back then when I fell into a pit of despair
Even when I pushed you away
Even when I resented meeting you
As the song intensified, so did his moves.
Jimin moved around the room doing barrel jumps. The male spun around before soaring into the air. He tightly shut his eyes as he grounded and let out a soft sigh as he skidded to a breathless halt.
A tear fell from his eye as the song came to an end, and he tried to catch his breath.
"Fuck you, Min Yoongi, for making such a song," Jimin cursed before walking to the corner where the rest of his stuff lay. He sat down and brought his knees to his chest as he looked at himself through the reflection. He let out a sigh as tears began to roll down his cheeks.
"I hate feeling like this."
.
"Make sure this assignment is done by the 20th. That's all for today," the professor said.
"So uh, when do you think we can start with this?" Jimin let out a sigh and shrugged. "I don't know. I have no classes for the rest of the day, so I don't mind starting now."
"I have a Chemistry lecture in two hours, so I guess we can start on it now."

Jimin closed his laptop before he began to pack his books. "Why don't we go work in the library? We'll probably be able to find some resources there," he asked, and the person nodded. "Sure, we can do that."
"What was your name again? I didn't quite catch it."
"Oh sorry, my name is Sohee, Kang Sohee. Nice to meet you," the girl introduced herself, extending her hand. Jimin gave her a small smile before taking her hand and shaking it.
"Jimin, Park Jimin."
.
"So you dance? That's so cool!" The girl said. "Yeah, I almost did Major in it, but I decided to take it as a minor instead," he told her, looking up at the ceiling.
"Oh, didn't you say it's one of your majors? And that Animal Science and Wildlife Bio, are your first?"
"Did I? Whoops, I meant to say it's a minor. DI think it'd be too much work for me to have three majors."
The two of them talked and told each other about themselves as they made their way to the library.
"It must be tough to juggle the two. Animal Science and Wildlife Biology have different courses from one another. How do you do it?" She asked, dramatically causing Jimin to laugh.
"I don't know. I guess I just do."
"Any-" "Jimin?"
Both Sohee and Jimin turned around to see you standing with a couple of books in your arms. "y/n? Hey," he greeted, feeling a little awkward. His slight awkwardness seemed to go unnoticed by you as you flashed him a smile.
"It's been a minute since we last saw each other- oh, yeah, you have company. I hope I'm not disturbing anything."
Jimin and Sohee glanced at each other be he shook his head. "No, we were just talking. We're on the way to the library," he said, and your eyes slightly widened. "Really? I'm heading there too."
"Really? Then let me help you with those," he said, taking the books and giving you a soft smile. "Thank you."
"Why don't we walk together, yeah? You can even sit with us if you want." He asked, and you looked at the girl who awkwardly stood next to him. "You don't mind, right?"
"Oh, not at all," she said and gave her a smile.
"I'm y/n. Choi, y/n," you said, extending your hand as you introduced yourself. "I'm Sohee, Kang Sohee. I'm Jimin's partner for our Biology class," she said as she shook your hand.

"Why didn't you tell me you were on your way to work on your assignment? I wouldn't have asked to join you too," you asked Jimin.
"I... I don't know. What are you going to do at the library?" "I'm just going to try and finish my literature assignment," you said, and he smiled.
"Then it's fine you can sit with us instead of sitting alone. I hope you don't mind Sohee. I just don't want her to sit by herself when I'm around." 'How funny. You were literally hoping you wouldn't see her today. What have you done to me, y/n?'
"It's okay. It's not like y/n's going to disturb us, right?"
"Right."
.
"Let's sit here. It's close to the Life Sciences sections so that it won't be too hard for us to find books we might need. I'm assuming you have your books?" He asked you as he set your books on the table, and you nodded.
"Alright, you two can take your seats. Sohee, I'm quickly going to grab a couple of books I have in mind," he said before placing his backpack on a chair and walking towards one of the many bookshelves.
You were about to take the seat next to Jimin, but Sohee stopped you, causing you to look up at her with your brows furrowed. "I think I should sit next to him. It will be easier for us to work together," she said, giving you a smile.
"Oh yeah, you're right. Sorry," you moved to the opposite side of the table, taking the seat opposite your boyfriend's. Sohee silently watched you unpack your things before taking a seat and doing the same.
"Okay, here. These might be useful to us," Jimin said, placing the small pile of books on the table. Sohee nodded and reached to pick up two, to examine them.
Jimin took a seat and opened his laptop. "You said you have two hours before your next lecture, right?" Sohee hummed in response. "Okay, so why don't we discuss this for half an hour. We'll figure out who does what part and all that stuff. Then for the remainder of the time, we'll just work on the actual thing. Is that okay with you?"
"Yeah, it's fine. Let me open up the assignment here, and then we can start," Sohee said.
"I'm gonna get something for us to drink. Sohee, would you like anything?" You asked. "I'd like an iced coffee, thanks." She told you. "Got it. I'll be back in a bit," you said before getting up and walking towards the cafe part of the library.
"She didn't ask what you wanted," she said as she watched you stand in line. Jimin shrugged as he read through their assignment. "She didn't need to know. She knows what I want," he mumbled clear enough for Sohee to hear.
"Oh, are you guys close?" She asked, and Jimin hummed in response. "Yup."
.
"One iced coffee, caramel macchiato, and vanilla frappe?" A barista called, causing you to look up from your phone. "Order ####?" You looked at your receipt and smiled before making your way to the counter.
"Here you go, Ms. Enjoy the rest of your day and make sure to take breaks in between your studying," the barista said, handing you your drinks. You flashed him a smile. "Thank you, sir."
You made your way back to your table with the drinks in your hands. A slight frown formed on your face when your eyes landed on Jimin and Sohee.
'Did Jimin tell Sohee I was his soulmate?' you asked yourself. The girl's arm was wrapped around Jimin's shoulder. You could tell her chin was resting on his shoulder. 'I know their partners, but is there a reason for them to be that close?'
"Isn't that one of the guys from that big ass soulmate relationship?" You heard someone in front of you ask. "Yeah. I think it is. Do you think that girl is their last soulmate or something?"
'No, I'm their last soulmate,' you thought to yourself.
You huffed before picking up your pace. 'I don't care if Jimin already told her not. I'm just going to make it clear either way.'
"Here," you said, catching their attention as you put their drinks on the table. "Iced Coffee for Kang Sohee and a Caramel Macchiato for Park Jimin."
"Thank you, y/n," Sohee said, giving you a smile before she took a sip. "Thank you. Remind me to pay you back, okay?" Jimin said, causing you to shake your head.
"No, don't worry about it baby."
"Baby?"

Long gone are the days when every hero could do whatever they wanted - now, we are civilised. We have government. Law. And proper forms. Lots of proper forms. (Final episode 25/07/2022. Also - beta readers far into the book rate the 'gore' degree as below 2/10, so the warning is a bit much) Mary Susan Oceanrunner is a poor girl from the orphanage, who like many others before, has to fulfil her destiny. The prophecy had been told, and she is the only one who can make things right. Erm... probably. Anyway, she can't just go and kill monsters like in the middle ages. First, she must apply for the appropriate permissions, fill the forms, learn about the proper loot taxations... Hey, no one said adventuring would be easy, right? Disclaimers: No claim made by any character by the book should be treated as the author's or anyone else's opinion on any subject. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
