Me and the shorty were in the gym practicing our quick.

We went to visit Karasuno's ace, Asahi, twice to try and get him to join the club again. We're going to go to a training camp with Nekoma High and the team wanted to bring him back. He refused.

Sugawara explained that he was really affected by one of their games. All of his spikes got blocked and he eventually gave up.

Asahi felt like he let the team down....Like he let L/n down. So, he quit.

Suga explained further that, L/n really looked up to Asahi, and he loved playing as his setter, even though he wasn't the official one. He was really close to Nishinoya and Asahi.

...Well....there could be many other different things that could've caused him to quit.

But one thing's for sure...

...We don't really know if Asahi hates volleyball.

"WHAT!?"

The old guy that runs the Sakanoshita store is Coach Ukai's grandson!? He's going to be our coach now!?

He also got the neighbourhood association team to have a practice match with us.

"Is he a good coach? He doesn't really look like someone that plays volleyball. Does he even- Oh look it's L/n...what-"

I shook my head and saw he was standing by the doorway a little behind Ukai.

Wait-

Is that a plaster on his nose? Is he really that clumsy?

"Well I mean he can't- nevermind."

I'll ask him about it later...For now, I need to focus on the match-

"Hey look it's Asahi!"

"What!?" The team yelled.

"Azumane?!!" L/n shrieked excitedly.

We lost to the association club.

But damn, Asahi's spikes were strong. No wonder L/n loved being his setter.

Suga, Nishinoya and Asahi worked so well together. They were great.

I was helping clean up the gym when I saw our ace go up to L/n.

They were talking to each other so I didnt mind it, till I saw Asahi look to the ground in sadness.

I watched them from the side of my eye while wiping the floor.

L/n lifted up his chin and went in for a hug.

Asahi hugged him back tightly, as if L/n would fade away if he let go.

I looked away and started grumbling, making a face.

"Kageyama! Are you plotting murder again?!" Hinata said.

"Shut up dumbass!"

I was with L/n. I was walking him home since it's dangerous to walk alone at night. Especially with his disability.

We were walking in silence, when I decided to speak up.

"Hey L/n," I started.

"Hm?"

"Where'd you get that cut on your nose from?" I asked.

"Oh, I slipped in the toilets at school. I hit my nose against the sink," he responded.

"Huh...You're always getting hurt. Do you want me to mind you while we're at school?"

"Wait-"

Woah Kageyama, you're bold. My face started heating up at my suggestion.

He chuckled and said,"I'm not a damsel in distress, Kageyama...But thank you for offering."

"Yeah, it's no problem," I said, trying really hard not to stutter.

We finally reached his doorstep.

"Bye, Kageyama! I'll see you at school!" L/n said.

"Bye L/n," I replied.

"Geez, I can't even have a simple conversation with L/n without my face turning red....Am I allergic to him?!"
