Quinn Greene tugged her blonde hair into a ponytail, swiping her keycard and entering through the employee's entrance into the Smithsonian.
It didn't take long for her to locate her favorite mug in the staff room, the coffee soon filling her system with a buzz that the lack of sleep hadn't. She had already known that staying for most of the night watching historical documentaries in her bed while eating ice cream probably wasn't the best idea. But what could she say? Is was so easy now that she wasn't staying with her dads' anymore, there wasn't anyone to caution her against it anymore.
The move to Washington D.C from New York had been a big one. Something that Quinn had at times not even wanted to do but no matter how hard she tried to forget that her dream job was on offer, it was never an option.
Of course, the move to Washington hadn't come at a better time, Quinn was the last person who wanted to get caught in the middle of the whole 'aliens coming from a hole in the sky' disaster. There wasn't a heroic bone in her body, she was much better suited to reading about real-life heroes and teaching others about them.
Quinn's eyes drifted to the couch chair where she had sat on the day, a year and a half ago, eyes glued to the TV, heart pumping wildly in fear for her parents, as a group of heroes who called themselves the 'Avengers' fought a bunch of aliens and a god in New York. It was an event to go down in the history books, Quinn just wasn't quite sure if that was the kind of history she wanted to relive.
But yet here she was, the start of a new day, the start of getting to be a tour guide in a new exhibition. Quinn already knew enough about the man, himself. He had fascinated her completely when her love of history had first come to life.

But still, as she wandered through the new red, white and blue exhibit just before opening time, Quinn still wasn't completely sold on the idea of showing the life of Captain America to the public.
Regardless, she still had to pay for the tons of ice cream she had delivered to her door each month, not to mention getting to do something that she still loved endlessly.
So, plastering a smile on her face, she looked around at the same group that had formed around her, eager to find out new knowledge about one of the countries' greatest heroes.
"Hi, I'm Quinn, and I'll be your Tour Guide for today."

The stories can be read at any order. Phew, this story was finally finished at last! What could I say, it was a hell of a ride when I wrote it from the beginning to end. Thanks for having me on RR :D All the current chapter had already done a run on Grammarly, so hopefully it'd be more readable. ...kinda feeling lazy so calling off the edits for now. A couple of old / new attempts of combining Horror, Comedy and Absurdist elements. I'm not very good at writing Horror stories but I'd like to try once in a while. Core Chronicles
Core Chronicles is a series of interrelated stories, including in-depth major story arcs and shorter side stories about Cores and those affected by them through direct and indirect means. The first arc is planned to be Dungeon Core with City Building elements in an Urban Fantasy setting. It will mainly follow one main character's point of view, but on occasion, the POV may shift to side characters to give more information about what is happening in the wider world. The stories will also examine how the world changes with the introduction of magic and its various purposes. The System will be between soft and crunchy, with discrete levels and stats for characteristics and skills. But, for example, the health statistic will be a less clear indicator rather than a distinct stat.

Sarsaparilla is an older teenage girl living on Mars. And, like many other young people around her, she has a super power. Or, rather, she is supposed to have a super power. Only she has never been able to activate it, she doesn’t even know what her super power is. This annoys her, tremendously. But she hides this behind a really sweet smile. Adalace is another teenage girl, also on Mars. She knows what her own super power is, and it is quite a good one. She is also really cute… so long has she keeps her feelings under control and doesn’t let out anything from her dark past. Teylon is a man, currently living on Earth. He likes to think of himself as still young, even if he is over fifty. He’s a bit smug about his successful career and is thinking of retiring… until a sadly unfortunate event leads him to the conclusion that he had better immigrate to Mars. Immediately. Apparently, meeting one’s own Angel of Death tends to cause people to make profound changes to their lives… Mars society had better brace itself, because once these three people, plus another three also not so quite stable individuals, collide with each other, the resulting explosion is not going to leave anyone on Mars unaffected. This is another Esmeralda, the Angel of Death, story. It follows on from my previous two such stories, but it is in no way dependent on the previous stories. They can be read in any order. It is fully written and proof read (using Word for Windows, no real editor touched this transcript) and comes to about 247,000 words (about 895 Royal Road pages). It is organized into 50 chapters and I will be publishing them roughly one per day. In my writing, there are multiple characters and multiple points of view. Each change in a point of view is introduced by a header, giving the viewpoint character’s name first, and possibly a title. Inside a Point of View section, dialog in italics represents the Point of View character’s thoughts, while dialog between quotes represent normal spoken dialog. This story is very much inspired by the anime A Certain Scientific Railgun. However I have only taken some elements from the anime, and changed everything I took to make my own story, and so it does not count as fanfiction. Yeah, I know, the book cover page isn’t very good. It’s the best I could do, by tracing over a stock image. The two ladies shown are supposed to be Adalace and Sarsaparilla. Ideally I would have liked there to be two images of this pair, one where they are smiling sweetly and looking cute, and one where they are looking really angry and dangerous. But that totally exceeds my graphics abilities. You will just have to imagine it.

Wanting to leave his former life behind, Aarav was on his way to the United States when his flight crashed. Regaining consciousness, he realized he was not on Earth but a different planet, a different world where days and nights were much longer, plants and animals were something never seen on Earth and the nights were never dark. They were blue. And it was much more technologically advanced than Earth with space travel was the norm. Not just technology, magic too. He was a former military officer. Surviving in the harsh territory was not an issue for him. But there were other survivors with him. Other survivors included a hard-working doctor and his family of four, a chatter-box archaeologist and his son, a group of the Korean boy band, a Japanese student, a pilot, few air hostesses, a group of British youngsters and many usual salary workers. The natives of the planet aided them and suggested them to go to Elysium, a place few billion lightyears away, laced with advanced magic and technology where dreams come true. To reach Elysium, they faced many ups and downs. They get betrayed, scammed, stranded, and even lost their lives. They chose various paths to reach their goal, to get back home.
