《Rick and Morty x Reader Oneshots》Adorable (Morty x Different Dimension! Reader)

“C’mon Morty, we-we’re leaving,” Rick said, dragging his grandson from the table they were sitting at. Morty flailed a bit but quickly regained his senses and stumbled along behind Rick.
“Wh-where are we going?” Morty asked through a half-chewed mouthful of pancakes.
Rick didn’t answer as he went to the garage and grabbed his portal gun. He shot a swirling green portal, then grabbed Morty’s hand and pulled Morty along with him, much to Morty’s dismay. They stepped into a different dimension which looked oddly normal and just like their neighborhood, other than the fact that nobody was walking around.
“Rick, where are w-we?” Morty asked again.
“Remember that dimension you ruined with the –‘eugh’- love potion?” As soon as Rick said that, a few people started running after each other. Boys were chasing girls just as much as girls were chasing boys. And their only goal was to have sex.
Morty got a little flustered, “I-I didn’t ruin it! It was your potion!”
“Whatever, Morty, you took it,” Rick said, getting his flask out and taking a big gulp out of it. Morty grumbled and crossed his arms.
“W-Why are we even here?” Morty asked as they started walking aimlessly.
“’Cause grandpa wants to fuuuuuck!” Rick said, then did a hip thrust. Morty groaned.
“We’re only here because y-you wanna get laid?!” Morty was frustrated at that point. Rick grinned.
“Yup. And you’re gonna leave me the fuck –‘eugh’- alone.” And with that, Rick walked off in his own direction, leaving Morty to be angry all by himself.
As more horny people ran through the otherwise empty streets, he started feeling more scared than angry. He held his arms close to himself.
Random people started throwing themselves at Morty, grinding against his leg and trying to get kisses, but he pushed them all off. There started to be a mob around him.
“Rick!” Morty yelled, expecting his grandpa to find him and save him, but got no response.
Morty screamed and pushed through the people, running as fast as he could.
I was sitting on one of the park benches all by myself, earbuds in and air-drumming to music.

All of a sudden, a scream pierced the air.
That wasn’t something I heard every day, so I tugged the earbuds out and looked around.
A teenage boy was running down the streets, looking…scared?
‘Hm, odd… Why would he be running from someone?’ I thought to myself. ‘Everybody in this dimension wanted to bang and kiss each other.’
Everybody but me.
I hoped that this boy was different as I watched him speed towards the park. I couldn’t help staring at him as he kept coming closer into view. He couldn’t have been older than 15 or so. He had short brown hair and wore a yellow t-shirt and blue jeans. I blushed a bit and realized he was kind of cute.
He just about ran past right past, but stopped as soon as he saw me, staring like a deer caught in headlights.
Morty kept running into the neighborhood park, expecting nobody to be hiding there.
But there was someone.
The most beautiful girl he had ever seen was sitting on one of the park benches. She looked like everything Morty had dreamed for. She didn’t have an ignorant aura around her while remaining to be remarkably beautiful. And, for the best part, she actually looked normal. Morty stopped and stared.
“Uh, hello…?” I said, staring back at the boy. His face turned bright red and he looked at his surroundings quickly. After a few seconds, his eyes met mine.
“A-a-are you normal?” He asked, tugging at his hair. I giggled and nodded.
“Of course I’m normal, silly.”
He breathed a sigh of relief when I didn’t get up and try to fuck him.
“Thank god! I thought I-I was losing m-my mind…” He sat down on the bench next to me, turning as red as a strawberry. I felt my own cheeks get a little hot being in close proximity to him.
“I’m (Y/N), the only person in this town who doesn’t want to fuck everyone’s brains out,” I said, sticking my hand out for him. He shook it and smiled a bit.
“I’m M-Morty. I’m from a-a-another dimension,” He said. I raised an eyebrow.
“There’s other dimensions?”
“Well, yeah. Th-there’s millions! This one I- well, m-my grandpa – wrecked with a bunch of l-love potion st-stuff.”

“You brought your grandpa here? All these people are insane!” I said, then looked at a gangbang out of the corner of my eye. Morty followed my gaze, then quickly looked away.
“H-he brought me here, because h-he wanted to get l-laid,” He said, then chuckled a bit nervously. I smiled and rolled my eyes.
“What’s your dimension like?” I changed subjects.
“Like this one, e-except there’s no h-h-horny people everywhere,” He explained. I noticed him twiddling his thumbs around a bit, and stared at him. The tips of his ears turned bright red under my gaze, and he made a face. (A/N: The face. You know exactly what I’m talking about.)
“I’m kinda sick of living here. I’m not really… you know, like them, and I never will be. Which leaves me to no future…” I said, brushing some (h/c) hair out of my face. His eyes followed my hair, and he leaned in.
“I-I could take you with me!” He quickly said, giving me a hopeful look. I giggled at how cute he was. He immediately got flustered. “I was being s-s-serious!”
All of his stuttering, his shyness, his overall cuteness, was really starting to kill me. I couldn’t help the words coming out of my mouth.
“Morty, you’re adorable,” I said, letting it slip right out. Immediately, I covered my mouth with my hands as my face burned. I couldn’t believe I had said that to a complete stranger.
But it was no lie.
“H-huh?” He asked, tilting his head a bit, blushing profusely. I couldn’t stop the hotness that crept over every inch of me.
“I-I think you’re adorable…” I repeated myself, then met his eyes with my own. I knew right then that I wanted to spend all of my time with him.
“(Y/N), I… I think y-you’re adorable t-too…” He said shyly. I leaned towards him a tiny bit, then he quickly kissed me. It was my first kiss, and it was simply electric. His hands wrapped around my back in a mid-kiss hug. I shivered a bit when he pulled away. “So…will you g-go with me?”
“Okay,” I said, smiling and blushing. He smiled back and took my hand in his.
Suddenly, an older guy with crazy pale blue hair and a lab coat came running at the bench at full speed.
“M-Morty, leave the girl, we –‘eugh’- we need to go,” He said in a hurry, grabbing Morty by his shoulder. Morty turned towards me and grabbed my hand again.
“Rick, n-no! She’s my girlfriend!”
“Whatever, we just need to go!” A mob of people started running up to the older guy, who I assumed was the grandpa that Morty was talking about. There were multiple girls running straight for him, all crack whores.
“Can she come?” Morty asked, eyes wide. Rick rolled his eyes.
“Let’s go, Morty!” He grabbed onto Morty’s hand, basically making a chain with the three of us, and he shot a weird green….portal….into the air, right in front of us. I was pulled through, going through it like it was a door, and appeared inside a garage.
“Ugh, this is going to be such –‘eugh’- a problem having another – another person here!” Rick yelled at Morty. Morty cowered a bit.
“She can stay in m-my room! I-I swear, she’ll be no problem at all!”
Just as Morty said that, a different girl walked into the garage. She looked to be about 16 or so, and her eyes were glued to her phone.
“Hey guys, mom said dinner is- uh, who’s that?” She finally looked up from her phone to stare at me. I squirmed a bit.
“Th-this is (Y-Y/N)! She’s gonna live w-with us!” Morty squeaked out, then smiled softly at me. The girl looked me over closely.
“Hm… So… You aren’t some freaky alien that wants to blow my brains out?”
“Nope, promise,” I said. She rolled her eyes.
“If she kills me, I’m blaming you guys!” The girl said.
“C-C’mon, (Y/N), let me show you my – o-our room!” Morty took my hand and pulled me along after him. I giggled and followed him along, amazed at how quickly my life changed.

CW: Contains mildly graphic scenes of violence/death, topics of unwanted pregnancy/abortion, scientific experimentation on sapient beings, depression/suicide, grief, and trauma. The tone of this fiction is often dark and distinctly dystopian in lighter shades of Margaret Atwood, though where there is darkness there is always hope and light. On Hiatus Until September When the School Year Begins and Mom This story takes a considerable amount of time and mental energy to complete. I thought I had enough backlog and time to post it as a serial while COVID kept my child home from school, but it turns out while I can quickly write other pieces, I cannot produce the quality I need with this one at an acceptable rate. We'll resume in September when my days are much freer. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned for a different storytelling romp more suited for a serial platform in the meantime.

Author's note: English isn't my first language and this is the first novel I tried writing, which is why some of the earlier chapters aren't that good, even though I grew better over time. I'm still in the phase of editing a lot of my earlier chapters. But unfortunately, I haven't yet found any time for it. Daily updates are to be expected till we reach chapter 100. If your comment motivates me, I might upload up to five chapters.^^
