"What is it?" My dad asks. I took a deep breath,

"What are you doing?" Ayleks asks me. I gesture for her to hold on,

"Jahsayla, is a made up woman and she is not Jahsayla. In fact, there is no such Jahsayla at all. Her name is Ayleks and we set this whole thing up to cover it." I explained.

My mom and Dad looked at each other confused, "So..you lied?" My dad asks.

I nodded yes. "I am not dating a girl. I am..dating a guy. His name is Jahseh, hence where I got the name Jahsayla. I'm sorry I lied to you guys, I just didn't know what you guys would think you know with all of the stuff you believe in." I said.

They just gave me a disheveled look and didn't respond. Ayleks puts her hand on my shoulder reassuringly.

"Mom, Dad?" I asked once again. My mom turns to my dad and holds out her hand, a smile coming over her face.

"So..you're gay?" My dad asks.

I nodded yes.

"I told you he was gay. I TOLD you Jahsayla was a fake name, and you didn't listen." She says. I looked at them confused.

"Look, I-I didn't really think the boy was lying, I thought Jahsayla was a real person. It seemed authentic." My dad says scratching the back of his head.

"Nah, chief, fork it over. Give me my 100, I need to go shopping." My mom says. My dad groans and pulls out a one hundred dollar bill and gives it to my mom.

"Hold on, you guys knew?" I finally asked.

"Of course we knew." My mom says laughing as she examines her bill. "It was a bet we made a long time ago when you were younger before we bought the church. I said if Stokeley ever comes out to us, you are giving me a one hundred dollar bill on the spot. But if he gets married to a woman.."

"We had to renew our wedding vows." My dad finished.

"But obviously that isn't gonna happen anymore, mothafucka!" My mom yells obnoxiously.

"You know what, if don't matter. I can't believe that far fetched idea actually came to light." My dad says rolling his eyes.

I'm confused.

"So, you guys don't care? You're not mad that I'm gay?"

My mom comes over to me and kisses me on the forehead, "Of course not, love is love, no matter the gender." My mom says.

"Regardless, you'll always be our son." My dad says.

"T-thank you, it really means a lot." I said softly.

"Of course, Stokey Pokey." My mom says pinching my cheeks.

"Stop." I said moving her hands. She goes over to Ayleks.

"I like Ayleks better than Jahsayla, thank god your name isn't that." My mom says to her. They both laugh, my mom then sighs then goes back to my dad.

"I wanna meet Jahseh." My dad says.

"WE wanna meet him." My mom adds.

I nodded yes. They turned to leave and turned to wave at us once more, "We love you, Stoke!" My mom says.

I smile, "I love you guys too." I said waving at them. They finally close the door and start to leave, I hear my mom bragging about how she was right and my dad trying to understand how she was.

Honestly, this night could've went way worse.

"Well..you have nothing to hide now." Ayleks says. "I'm gonna go, tell Jah I said hey and yo text me." She says grabbing her things and going to the door.

"Oh! Thank you for helping me with this. I know it was dumb but thank you." I said.

"Of course, of course. I'm glad everything went fine and I could help." She says smiling, then leaving.

A few minutes later, Jahseh comes in,

"Hey I just saw Ayleks on the way here, did everything go good-"

Before he could finish his sentence, I placed my lips against his pulling him closer to me.

"What was that for?" He asks.

"What do you think about meeting my parents?" I asked

"Your parents? I thought-"

"They know. Or in other words, they knew."

"Oh..well don't you think it's too early to meet them?" Jahseh asks.

"We can go whenever you want." I said.

Jahseh smiles and gives me a kiss on the cheek, "This better be the source." He mumbles.

"What?"

"Nothing..nothing.."

I honestly don't know what to do with this. I asked Kim if he had anymore, and he said he doesn't because Jahseh is always on his ass. But he did know someone that would be able to give me.

This is honestly a bad idea, but in all honesty, my life is kind of spiraling. I keep on making countless and countless mistakes, all because I can't do shit.

You're asking why can't I just go and face my problems? Why am I so distant? Why haven't I been around as much?

I don't know. I'm just thinking about a lot of shit, and I need to escape. Just for a little bit.

I can already feel it in my system as I laid back and let it kick in...
