Jahseh could barely get the words out of his mouth but when he does my eyes widened when he explained everything to me.
"Jahseh, it's just a coupon for a $5 special at IHOP." I said chuckling.
"Bitch, it's not JUST IHOP, you little boy. It's THE IHOP." Jahseh says over the phone. "Have some respect." He finishes.
"Whatever, Jahseh." I say laughing, "Do you know here everyone is?" I asked.
"No, I'm only here with Michael. I don't know where everyone else is."
"Alright, I'm going to text the group chat." I say, Valerie looks at me.
"Alright bye." Jahseh says before hanging up.
"There's a group chat?" She asks.
"Um..no." I lied.
"There was a group chat and y'all didn't add me to it? Is Jahseh on it?" She asks.
"Yes. Why?"
"Why won't you add me?"
"It's just a group chat, let me be a part of it." She says pouting.
"I don't know..it's just for the gu-"
"Fuck all that, I wanna be a part of it." She says cutting me off.
I sighed and pulled out my phone, knowing this is going to upset everybody later, I add her and show her, proving I did.
"See.." I say pointing the screen in her face.
"Thanks!" She says giving me a kiss on the cheek.
We later on met with Jahseh and Michael and set off to look for everyone else. There was lesser and lesser people so they might have left the park and went somewhere else.
I noticed the big life sized frog Jahseh had, which took him two hands to carry.
"You need help there, Jah?" I say. He looks over at me and smiles, "Yes, because I need someone STRONG to help me." He says looking over at Michael and handing me the frog.

"How come you didn't win me anything, Stoke?" Valerie asks. I heard Jahseh snicker a little bit, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that caught it.
"Because yo ass wanted to catch an attitude." I replied.
"But that's your girl, Stokeley. You need to win her a prize." Jahseh says, stretching his words. I could tell he was trying to be nice, but being sarcastic still.
"Finally, something that comes out of your mouth I can agree with." Valerie says. I look over at Jahseh who just shakes his head in response, grabbing hold of Michael's arm.

"We're all meeting where the car is." I say. They all nod and we start walking. It's me and Jahseh walking side by side in front of Val and Michael. We hear them whispering in the back, I see Jahseh glance at them but then look back forward.
"Can I borrow Michael for a second?" Valerie says finally.
"No." Jahseh says blatantly.
"Just for a second, Jah." Michael says. I was confused on why they needed "a second" but didn't want to start with them so I just let Jahseh handle it.
"Fine." Jahseh says.
"We'll meet you guys up at the van." Michael says before Valerie and him walk slowly towards the opposite way.
"What do you think they're talking about?" I ask Jahseh. He sniffles then chuckled, "probably cheating." He says flat out. I was shocked to hear what he said, I wouldn't think Michael was cheating, they seemed to like each other a lot. Anyone who cheats on someone like Jahseh, or Jahseh period, is absolutely stupid.
"How do you know?" I ask, curious.
"I just know." He answers, "I have a feeling." He says sounding anxious.

"I doubt Michael would cheat on you, he'd be dumb if he did." I said. Jahseh smirks, "Oh really?" He says.
I look at him and nod with a smile, he smiles back. "Thanks, Pokeley." He responds. "You know, when you called me earlier about the IHOP coupon, I thought Michael proposed to you or something." I say chuckling.
He laughed along with me, "I would not marry Michael, Stokeley." He says. I raise my eyebrows, surprised. "Why not? He seems...you guys seem perfect for each other."
"Don't tell him I told you this, but Michael is not someone I'd want to marry. He's an great person and all but he's just...he's not someone I'd want to spend possibly the REST of my life with." He explains. "Just like with Valerie. You want to marry Valerie someday?"
Fuck no.
I chuckled at the question, he gave a 'that's what I thought' look, "No. I don't want to marry Valerie." I say finally.
"Why?" He asks softly.
"She's DEFINITELY not someone I'd want to spend possibly the rest of my life with." I repeated what Jahseh said.
"Good." He says, "You deserve a lot more, Stokeley." Jahseh says playfully yanking one of my durag strings. I hit him in the head with the stuffed frog, "Hey!" He says holding his head. "That's what you get, shorty." I say.
"Shut up, I'm not short. I'm 6'4 in this bitch." He says playfully puffing out his chest. I laugh while wrapping my free arm around his shoulder.
A old white lady and I assume her grandchildren approach Jahseh and I smiling,
"I just wanted to say that you guys are such a cute couple. Reminds me of my son and his husband." She says smiling, before Jahseh or I could correct her and say that we aren't a couple and just friends she pats us on the shoulders and walks off.
One of her grandkids stops in front of Jahseh and smiles, "I like your hair. Blue is my favorite color." She says, not being able to pronounce her r's, which made it even more cute. Jahseh awes while putting his hand on his chest, "Thank you so much." He says. "Can I touch it?" the kid asks. Jahseh nods and squats to her level and bends his blue dreads forward so she can touch them.
She smiles, missing her two front teeth. She finishes touching his hand before handing Jahseh something, "I want you to have this to match your hair." She says handing Jahseh a blue sparkly head band with Mickey ears on it. "I'm Jahseh, What's your name?" Jahseh asks. I can't help but watch and see how cute the whole action was.
"Valerie." She says. Jahseh freezes for a second before smiling, putting on the accessory. "Thank you, Valerie." She giggles before running away over to her grandmother, her smiling back and waving at us before disappearing into the crowd.
"These type of things make me wish I had ovaries." Jahseh finally says smiling at me. I smile back, looking at his new item.
"You look cute." I say, poking the ears of the band. He poses, "Tell me something I don't know." He says playfully. We both laugh before continuing our journey over to meet everyone else.

The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield
***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain.*** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett.
