"Yeah okay. Make sure to keep an eye on her and let me know if she goes anywhere else. Bye." Jonah hangs up the phone. Leaning back in his chair he rubs at his temple.

It has been three days now since Mindy has left the house. He didn't stop her knowing that she needs some time to calm down and think everything over, but that didn't mean that he did not know where she was, at all hours.

Right when she walked out the doors, he had one of his best man keep a close eye on her. She had checked into a cheap hotel across town and has been there since. He told himself he will patiently wait until she was ready to come home and then they will talk and he will explain everything and beg for forgiveness although he wanted nothing more than to leave work, race across town, and take her back home to where she belongs.

-

Mindy stares at herself in the mirror hanging from the bathroom door in the tiny hotel room that she booked. He eyes were red and swollen and her face was pale as snow. She has been crying for three days straight and her appetite has been out the door.

"Sorry baby...sorry." She cried her right palm rubs at her stomach in circles.

There was no way in hell was she going to tell Jonah that she was pregnant now. She hates him. She feels disgusted by him. Betrayed. He had broken her heart and hurt her numerous time. She wasn't going to let that happen again to her or her baby.

She had three days to think everything through and every thought brought her back to the same solution. She is going to leave him. She wanted a divorce.

-

Mindy walks through the doors of the mansion in the early evening. She wanted to pack some things and leave again before Jonah returns from work not being aware that Jonah's worker had already contacted him about her return home.

Agatha who just finish cleaning the foyer spotted her right away.

"Madam!" she almost choked.

"Please Agatha. Don't cause a scene. I'm not ready to talk or face anyone yet." She begged the woman hoping that she will not alert anyone else that she was back.

Agatha bowed her head to Mindy before strolling over giving her a much needed hug.

"Your parents just left this morning. They have been here since you left the house. I believe they will be returning tonight since they wanted to go home and pack some stuff." She informs Mindy.

"Thank you Agatha." Mindy gently pulls herself away from her. "Good, more reasons to hurry and leave," she thought.

Returning to their room, she quickly packs a small bag of only necessities and a couple pair of clothing to last her a few days before she can buy more. When she was finish she sat the bag on the bed when her eyes caught glimpse of her ring. She eyes the sparkling diamond on her ring finger. Slowly she removes the ring from her finger. Holding the ring in her small fist, she brings it to her chest, remembering all the love she holds for this man, someone who didn't return the feelings but only revenge, lies, and deceit.

Her tears resume again as she walks over to the desk in the room setting it right in the middle. She then looks to the picture of Jonah smiling genuinely. God she knew she was going to miss him even though he had hurt her so much. Touching her fingers to his picture, she finally decided it was time to leave for good.

Jonah impatiently rush out of the car when him and Dexter pulled up to the house later that evening. When his man had contacted him earlier that Mindy had returned home, he wanted to leave work immediately and go home but he thought against it. He didn't want to startled her so soon. So instead, he thanked his worker for the hard work and told him to have the rest of the day off.

He rushes into the house and was greeted by his staff as usual.

"Master, Madam has return." Agatha whispers to only his ears.

"I know," he nods at her. "Where is she?"

"In the room. I haven't seen her come out since she's been back."

"Thanks Agatha."

"Oh and sir, her parents are on the way back."

Jonah just nodded and head up the stairs. He tried to control his steps so they weren't so hasty but his legs had a mind of its own. Once he reaches the oak door separating him from his wife on the other side, he suddenly became nervous. What if she was still mad at him and refuse to forgive him he thought. No matter what the outcome is, he was ready to confess his love to her and beg on his knees if he had to.

Taking a breath, he opens the door slowly to a pitch dark room. She must be sleeping.

"Mindy?" he says closing the door walking up to the bed. When his eyes finally adjusted to the dark, he didn't see the silhouette of her body. Immediately he turns on the lamp on the nightstand fear already starting to consume him.

The bed was empty and still neatly made. He stomps to the bathroom and flips on the switch to be once again greeted with emptiness. His heart drop and he start to panic running through the bedroom turning on all the switches.

"Mindy!" he shouts. He knew she wasn't in the room but didn't want to admit the worst – that she has left him once again.

Getting ready to run out the room and search the rest of the house, his eyes caught sight of something shiny on the desk. He slowly strolls over to it, his breath caught when he realizes what it was – her ring.

Placed next to the ring is the credit card he had given her to use.

"She's gone." He barely whispered.

A teardrop descends from his eye. He was angry, but not as much as he was hurt. No – he thought.

"There's no way I'm letting you go. You're mine."

Rushing out the room he shouts for everyone reaching all the way to the foyer.

"Agatha! Where's my wife?" he demanded.

"Master, she was in the..."

"She's not!" he raised his voice. He knew it wasn't her fault but he was too angry and hurt at the moment to care.

"Did anyone see her leave?" he asked all his workers who were all gathered in the room now.

Everyone shakes their head slowly not daring to make eye contact knowing that there would be consequences.

"How the hell do I have a house full of workers that I pay abundantly, not see or hear a single woman, my wife, leave this house?!" he roars over them. "Maybe I should cut all your pay! Better yet fire you all!" he threatens.

"Master calm down for a minute and let's figure this out." Dexter suggested.

"Don't tell me to calm down! She's gone!" he shows everyone the ring that Mindy left behind. Gasps and whispers can be heard around the room.

"What do you mean she's gone!?" Bruce storms in through the front door with his wife, Grace, right behind him.

"Yes Jonah, who's gone?" Nina emerges from the grand stairs.

They all at once see the ring he's holding between his fingers.

"She ran away. No." Grace's eyes already started watering.

"Look what you did you asshole!" Bruce storms at him pointing a finger in his face. "Because of you, our daughter ran off to who knows where!"

"I'll find her." He promised.

"You're damn right you will. And when you do, I'm taking her back home with me!" Bruce exclaimed.

"Now hold on there Bruce, this was all just a misunderstanding. We already established that." Nina interjected. "There's no reason to be so rash!"

"Just be quiet everyone!" Jonah shouted. "She's my wife, I will find her and she will continue to stay with me!" He stares Bruce dead in the eyes.

"I love her. I truly do."

"Let's just find her first." Graces tugged at her husband's arm.

Bruce unwilling gave up for now storming away to another room.

"Dexter." Jonah says more calmly looking at Bruce's disappearing back.

"Yes Master."

"Get everyone on it. Find her."

"Right away sir."

A week's time has gone by with Jonah and his men trying to find Mindy with no luck. He skipped work and has been driving around town nonstop. He can't stop thinking about her and worrying if something bad has happen. Every time his phone rings, he thinks it's his men with some kind of news about her whereabouts. Sitting in his office at home, he angrily pounds at his desk.

"Where the hell are you, Mindy?"

He angrily tosses a glass figurine on his desk towards the door just as his best friend, Jordan was walking in. Jordan instantly take cover just in time that the glass figurine shatters right beside him.

"Well someone is in one hell of a bad mood." Jordan joked walking towards his friend.

"Go away Jordan I don't have time for your nonsense today." Jonah said rubbing his temple.

"Ouch. That's the perfect way to greet a buddy you haven't seen in a while." He faked hurt.

"What do you want?" Jonah said bringing his hand down looking at his friend.

"Ummm... your wife."

Jonah shoots him a deadly look.

"Whoa not in that way buddy." He puts his hands up defensively. "She said she wanted to meet me today to talk about...something. But never show." He was careful not to tell Jonah about the pregnancy.

"What? She was going to meet you. For what?" If looks could kill, Jordan would be dead by now.

"Look buddy. I'm as clueless as you." Jordan still on the defense.

Jonah sighs heavily. "She ran away from me."

"Come on dude! Where is she really?"

"I'm serious."

Seeing the intensity in his friend's eyes and the stress in his tone, Jordan knew he was serious.

"What happened?"

Jonah finally explains the full story to his best friend from start to end. He listens intently realizing how severe the situation just got.

"Jonah, we have to find her." Jordan straighten his face.

"I know. You gonna help me?"

"No I mean yes, but we really have to find her or she can be in danger."

Jonah stares at his friend clueless.

"Mindy's pregnant."

Jonah's eyeballs nearly popped out of his sockets. "What did you just say?"

Jordan too, explain to Jonah his story.

"We were supposed to meet for a checkup today but she didn't show. That's why I came here." He finished.

Jonah was immediately out of his seat. His thoughts were driving him mad. Pregnant? Mindy. My child. Our child.

He gives his friend one good punch.

"Help me find her now dumbass!"

Just then his phone started ringing.

"Better be some fucken good news!" he shouts through the phone.

"Sir, we found her."

*****

Mindy sat at a coffee shop just down from the motel that she rented in a small town call Fall City just outside of Seattle. Looking at the sandwich she ordered in front of her, she rubs at her still flat stomach. Her appetite still haven't return since she found out that everything she knew about her life with Jonah was a lie. She knows how important it is to eat and keep healthy during her pregnancy but she just couldn't stomach anything and she knew it's not because of her morning sickness anymore.

She had immediately left town after leaving the Chambers' estate but not quite too far as she hasn't come up with a plan yet. She knew she had to leave her current spot soon though because knowing Jonah, he would be looking for her right now – or was he? She questions herself.

Putting the last of the cash she had on her onto the table she heads back to the motel to collect her things.

-

Jonah sits in his car and stares at his wife sitting alone in the coffee shop. When Mindy rubbed her stomach his breath held. That was his kid in there he thought. Both of theirs. A smile appears on his face. After a long week, he was glad to finally see both his wife and baby safe and sound.

He couldn't wait to have her in his arms again. He patiently waits for her to finish her meal and head back to the motel so he can get to her when she isn't surrounded by so many people. He already had her room cleaned out and her stuff in his car.

Slowly tailing her, he waited until she turn the corner to the motel before he parked the car and got out.

Mindy who was a few meters ahead didn't hear the person behind her getting out of the car slowly following her. Before she knows it, a hand covers her mouth from behind while another wrapped around her waist lifting her off the ground. Her screams were muffled by the hand as she tries to wiggle herself out.

"This smell..." she thought. She struggled harder.

He carries her to his truck and places her in the back seat not forgetting to put the child lock on. He was thankful that the motel was facing away from the public eye or else someone would think this is a kidnap for sure – well it kind of is he smiles to himself. Then he hurriedly got into the driver's seat locking all doors.

"Jonah Lewis Chambers! How dare you!" Mindy shouted at him trying to pry the doors open but she was caged in. "Let me go this instant!"

"Sorry can't do babe. You're just going to run away from me again." He chuckles. He missed her voice, her touch, everything so much.

"This is kidnap! AGAIN!"

"That it is." He wasn't going to let her go again. Not now, not ever. He loves her.

He starts driving the car away. Away from town.

In a couple hours, they arrived back at Serene.
