"You did what!" Bruce flew off the couch while Grace spits out the juice she had just deposited into her mouth.

Dexter stared at his master shocked as well. A little frighten actually. He didn't know his master was going to come out this blunt.

"I'm sorry I don't know where to start so I'll just get to the point."

For about an hour, Jonah told Mindy's parents that she was back in the states and they had just signed for marriage two days ago. He wasn't going to tell her parents about the whole kidnapping ordeal so he said he met her when she came and worked for his company abroad and he fell in love with her at first sight. He lied that he kept her busy at work so he can always keep an eye on her. He told them that on her birthday she was dressed beautifully. He told them that she was a great cook. He even told them that she was the strongest person he has ever met, had a fighting spirit better than anyone he's known and that she was a loving and caring person.

"Because of spending so much time with her every day, I fell deeper and deeper and before I knew it, I couldn't let her go anymore. So I took her back here and married her." His story was as honest as he can let it be. "I love her."

The room was silent after he fell silent.

"OH MY GOD! Bruce it's happening. That a girl! Our daughter is finally all grown up!" Grace out of nowhere excitedly exclaimed.

All the guys in the room was dumbstruck especially Jonah, that wasn't the first reaction he was expecting.

"This silly girl called me yesterday and had me all worried. She should have just said she got hitched and of all people to Nina's son. How wonderful!" Grace laughed loudly. But her laughter slowly died down when she notices it was only her celebrating the news.

"Is this all true? You and my baby girl..." Bruce clenched his fist.

"Yes sir it is." Jonah bowed his head. Never in his life has he ever lower his neck to anyone besides his parents until now.

"Master..." Dexter gasp.

"I'm sorry it happened this way. I just really can't live a day without her. Please I'm here to ask for both of your blessings." He was never more serious about anything in his life.

"Bruce," Grace started, "she called me yesterday wanted to tell me something but said she it wasn't the right time. This must be what she wanted to tell us. I didn't tell you, because she didn't want me to. Our baby was scare Bruce, she is scare that we won't approve." She grabbed her husband's hands and squeeze it gently.

"I...I don't know what to say." Bruce sigh.

"Sir I promise to love and care for her for as long as I breathe. I will do my best to make her days be fill with only happiness. But to be able to do that I really need your blessing." Jonah wholeheartedly said.

Bruce looked at the boy in front of him and was reminded of himself when he fell for Grace. If there was one thing, he was certain of, was that this man was really in love with his daughter.

Finally, Bruce smile and nodded. "Congratulations son, you have my blessing."

Tears fell from Grace's eyes and a huge smile worked its way to her face. "Both of ours."

She gets up and gives him a hug. Jonah too returned it. He then shakes hand with Bruce mouthing a 'thank you'.

"Welcome to the family son." Bruce gladly said. He then shifts his attention elsewhere. "Does your mother know?"

"She will soon. She's returning home next week." Jonah smile arching his brows.

"Aw that's great to hear!" Grace clapped her hands together. "I cannot wait to discuss wedding plans with her! Who knew of all people, our kids would fall in love."

"One tiny thing. Can we not mention this to Mindy just yet?" Jonah asked. "I promise her I wouldn't tell you guys and she will herself when she was ready but I really wanted your blessings so I came to you guys first."

"Sure thing." Bruce nodded. "Darn, I was going to call her right away." Grace said disappointed. "Oh well, guess I can wait."

Grace insisted on cooking a congratulatory meal even though it was just for Jonah now. As she did, Jonah pulled Bruce aside and pressed that all debts owe be nulled and returned his company back to him debt free. Bruce refused at first but at last was persuaded otherwise. All documents were returned as well.

After eating what seemed to be feast, Jonah and Dexter were finally heading out. Jonah saying his goodbyes headed out the door first. Before Dexter left, he turns to the Youngs.

"I've known Jonah since he was a child, like a second father to him. When he told me that he loves her, I can see it in his eyes. Your daughter is in good hands."

"Thank you." Bruce smile and nod. He wrapped his arms around his wife as Dexter walked away.

When they arrived at the mansion it was late into the afternoon. Jonah walked in looking for his wife feeling great like he's lifted a heavy burden. Now all he has to worry about was telling his wife the truth that he wasn't ready for.

"Agatha! Where's my wife?"

"She's out back in the garden, sir. Would you like me to have someone fetch her?"

"No that's okay." He said. He had something that he wanted to give her in private anyways so he went to her himself.

He spots Mindy walking between the rose plants. She is wearing a lavender sundress with her wavy hair bouncing behind her back. Her beauty never fails to stun him.

He quietly sneaks up behind her positioning his hands by his face as claws like a child.

"RAWRRR!" he shouted from behind her.

"AHH!" she shrieked losing her balance she tumbles to the ground.

Angry and frighten she turns around seeing a Jonah crouch over laughing loudly hands glued to his stomach. For a second she almost forgot that he just scared her senseless as she's never seen Jonah laughed to wholeheartedly like this before. It was a sight to see.

"Jonah you ogre! How dare you!" She tries to keep her façade but it was hard seeing him so adorable laughing away.

She pulls herself off the ground and march to him. Swinging her right foot, she toes him right between the knee and ankle.

"Ow ow ow!" he ferociously rubbed at the pain while she walks okay.

"Okay okay! I'm sorry." He bit his lips to keep from laughing. He grabs her wrist to stop her leaving.

"You're home early today." She said. She pulls her wrist away from his grasp and divert her gaze to the greenest grass she's ever seen in her life.

"You're so beautiful," he said sincerely looking at her. His voice was deep yet soft.

Her eyes immediately divert back to him shocked at his words just now. She quickly turns her body around as she feels the heat rising to her cheeks.

"Did you eat something weird at work?" she gnaws at the inside of her cheeks, the heat was getting to her.

"A lot," he said remembering the feast her mother just made for him.

He walks in front of her and smile at the red blush he had created on her cheeks.

"I have something for you." He said reaching for his pocket.

He pulls out a navy blue box. Mindy's breath hitch as she stares at the box and her muscle begins to tense.

He opens the box and takes out the two wedding diamond rings that was set in there.

Jonah cleared his throat. "I know this was never in a million year how you imagined you'd get married but we are now. Yesterday I was late coming home because I spend half the day looking for a this."

He grabs her left hand which only made her muscle tense more. "Jonah you didn't have to."

"Yes I did. Everyone needs to know what you are my wife." There were so many words and vows that he wanted to say to her but he was afraid he only scare her away.

He slowly slides the ring on her finger, it fitting perfectly. She stares at the shiny ring and huge diamond upon it. "It must have costed a fortune." She thought.

He then sets his ring in her palm. She was hesitant at first but she slowly grabs hold of his left hand as well and slid on the ring before releasing his hand.

"You're not allow to take it off ever in public. Not even at home. Only when you shower and sleep. I will do the same. You are mine and I am yours"

Mindy looks at the ring on her finger and tugs at it with her right fingers. Most girls would be ecstatic to get such prize but she feels like it was yet another handcuff to tie her down. She wishes he had given it to her with love, with words of promises.

"I understand." She said finally.

With that he turns and head back towards the house. She stares at his back as he walks away and he tries his best not to turn around.

Both of them finally shifting their attention to the ring on their finger, whispered so only their ears can hear, "I promise to love you for as long as I breathe."

A/N

Shorter chapter. Next ones will be longer! I know they are so bi-polar, it's just hard to all of a sudden make them go "hey I love you!" and forget about the past. Just be patient =)
