《ɪɴꜰᴇʀɴᴏ • ᴋᴏᴋɪᴄʜɪ x ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ》Chapter 18

Kokichi and I were walking outside, no particular destination though, I was just listening to him talk while we aimlessly walked around.
"Everyone's got it all wrong! I only act like a bad guy so you guys don't get too soft, y'know?" Kokichi started crying dramatically with those fake tears of his. " Y/n, you understand me! I'm so happy, I'm crying!" He yelled and sniffled in between words
"Mhmm... you're lucky I like you, if I didn't I would be with Tenko right now, leaving you to be alone" I say, crossing my arms
"Ooo! Y/n likes me, hm?~" Kokichi teased
"NO.....not like that Kokichi oh my god.." I turn my head the other way to avoid eye contact, knowing I was probably turning red
"not yet.." Kokichi said under his breath, but I couldn't hear what he said clearly
"Hm? What was that" I ask, hoping he'll repeat what he said so I could hear him.
"Nothinggg!" Kokichi was quick to change the subject. "Anywaaay, y'know I was thinking that maybe one day you could join my secret evil organization! Nishishi~ what do ya think?"
"Hm.. that does sound pretty cool, buuuut I have no reason to join it. I do have a career I'd like to pursue y'know.."
"Oh c'monn! It's pretty impressive, too. It has over 10,000 members!"
"Now that's a lie" I giggled
"Aww, you got me! But I'm telling the truth when I say I'm the supreme leader of a secret evil organization! My organization controls the entire world. But of course, it's behind the scenes. All the world's mafia syndicates are under my command. They'll get into turf wars if I don't control them. And that's just trouble for everyone. It's a pain, especially since peace is the best thing for the world." Kokichi then went on a long rant about his organization. "I make one phone call and the world changes. Let me know if you get bored with the world."
"Wooow, nice imagination Kokichi" I joked and Kokichi just pouted

"Enough about me, more about you!" Kokichi said
"Ummm, there's nothing to really know about me.."
"Hm, alright... Anyways, who's motive video did ya get? C'mon tell me, tell me!" Kokichi suddenly had a burst of energy and looked at me, waiting for my response.
"I don't think I should s—"
"I already know you got your own, I noticed you were feeling a bit down when you walked in with Tenko earlier. I waaas gonna ask if you were okay, but that would be too out of character, y'know? Anyway...it wasn't thaaat bad, right?"
"..."
"Whoops! Too insensitive, hm.. Was it seriously that bad though? I snuck into your room and watched it while you were sleeping— it's just a best friend..?"
"..."
"Why aren't you saying anythinggg, was it something I said? C'monn!" He laughed
"It's not your place to decide how bad it was, and you snuck into my room to watch it!? What the hell Kokichi!?" I wanted to cry, my voice started getting shaky but I did my best to hide it. Thinking back to my motive video...it makes me want to sit and cry in my room all day. And Kokichi was..laughing.
I started to walk back to my room, ignoring Kokichi as he called out to me.
"Y/nn! If I say sorry will you talk to me!??" He yelled as he started to run to catch up with me. My vision started to get all blurry from the tears
Before I knew it, I felt a warm presence hug me from behind.
".... Please don't hate me. I'm...sorry, I shouldn't have said that..." Kokichi's voice sounded soft and quiet, he hugged me tighter and I could feel that he dug his face into my shoulder. He sounded sincere for once.. but Kokichi.. apologizing?? I couldn't believe it
"Kokichi—"
"You forgive me right?? Righttt!? That was sooo hard for me to do!" He whined as he stopped hugging me and now stood in front of me.

"Wow I can't believe it, Kokichi apologizing..to me!? I'll never forget this"
I ended up forgiving Kokichi because I figured I was just overreacting earlier
——
It was now the next day and as usual everyone gathered at the dining hall. Not everyone was there today tho, Maki was still in her research lab, Ryoma wasn't coming and apparently Kokichi and Gonta were seen sneaking around. Aside from that, Tenko pointed out that now Himiko was brainwashed into believing in Atua with Angie.
"Nyeeeh, explode with excitement! It's finally happening. The Amazing Himiko's Magic Show is finally opening! Don't worry, admission is free. Er, actually, I guess admission will just be your smiles. The show opens tomorrow morning. Come to the gym after the morning announcement." Himiko announced
"Heyy! It would be pretty cool if Y/n could preform too as part of the magic show!" Tenko suggested and looked at me for my answer
"Oh! Uhhh, I would normally say yes but I haven't really been in the mood to preform yet. Sorryy.."
"No worries! Himiko and I will begin the prep work. And I'm supposed to ask others to help, too. I'm counting on you guys to help! Nyahahaha, bye-onara!" Angie said
"Nyeeh, farewell." And with that, both Himiko and Angie went off.
"There may be no cause for concern. This does not appear to be related to our motive videos." Keebo said
"You're only worried about that?" I ask
"Of course. We cannot afford to take Monokuma's motives lightly."
"But... everyone who isn't here could be showing each other their videos, right?" Tsumugi suggested
"You mean Kokichi, Gonta and Ryoma!?" Miu questioned
"No, I don't think that's it. Even with three people, there's a low probability of them having each other's motive videos." Shuichi said
"Yeah, I doubt that one of them would show a motive video without seeing their own in return." I added
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. The same goes for Angie and Himiko." Tsumugi said
"For now, let us have some breakfast, shall we? I have prepared meals for everyone." Kirumi said and we all began eating.
——
As I was walking to my room I saw Kaito running
"Y/n! You gotta run away from the dorms quick! Don't let him catch you!!" He yelled and then continued to run away.
"Wait! Who's him!?" I tried to yell but Kaito didn't answer. And so I took matters into my own hands and carefully walked to the dorms to see who he was talking about.
Turns out it was Gonta. He looked...really mad and it honestly scared me. I then saw Shuichi quietly escape and catch up with me.
"What's up with Gonta!?" I ask Shuichi as we're both running to the courtyard.
"I have no idea, Kaito just told me to run, so.. I ran." He responded. Once we arrived at the courtyard, we encountered Ryoma and while talking to him we found out that Gonta was trying to catch everyone.
We talked for a bit when suddenly Ryoma had ducked down. Shuichi and I both turned around to see that Gonta had found us.
"There you are.. hey, where you going?"
"Huh? Gonta..?" Shuichi said
"Sorry, Shuichi and Y/n, but I'm gonna run.... I've still got things I need to do." Ryoma said
"Umm, me too!?" I say in panic
"No! Gonta no can let you leave! Sorry, but...is for your own good!" Gonta then charged at us and I ran as fast as I could.
Thankfully, I managed to not get hit by Gonta, but Shuichi did. It seemed as though he lost consciousness.
"Eh!? Shuichi!? Oh my god—" the second I looked back to see if Shuichi was alright, Gonta was right behind me.
And soon enough, I lost my own consciousness.

A/n: sorry for posting this chapter rlly late! When I started writing this chapter I decided that I didn't like it so I re-wrote the whole thing. Also going through some personal stuff atm, so updates may be slow. (SORRY IF THE BEGINNING IS OUT OF CHARACTER/CRINGE😭 I wanted to delete it but it foreshadows smtg for later on in this book ;)
