Hello beautiful, up above is the caves exit. Yesterday was the solar eclipse! It was AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL!! FUN FACT! The reason that people have to wear special eye protection is because your eyes get use to how dark it is during the solar eclipse that when the sun comes out its too bight for your eyes and can blind you! (because of your pupils getting larger to allow more light in). Also I'm at my first ever baseball game! Right now! While I'm updating! It's amazing! Hope you enjoy!

When I walk into the lecture hall, I see someone sitting in the spot beside mine but it's not Luke. It's Cato. Why is Cato here? He's not enrolled. I walk up to Cato "hey how are you?" his green cat eyes look at me with something concealed behind them, a thought I can't uncover.

Although his mouth is a smile. "Oh I'm alright just planning a surprise for my brother is all" he gives me a bone chilling smile before I can respond Luke comes up behind me. Ha wraps his arm around my wait and pulls me to his chest.

"Stay away from him" he whispers in my ear, his lips slightly brushing my ear causing me to shiver. He is going to be the death of me. I turn my head upwards to look at Luke, he is giving his giving his brother the colds and angriest look I have ever seen.

If I was on the receiving end of that stare I would have been frozen. Cato looked cool and nonchalant "if looks could kill" Cato says in a sing song voice. Luke growls at Cato. "Let's sit somewhere else" Luke says to me but doesn't take his eyes off of Cato.

Before I can say anything he starts to pull me up to the top, "why is your brother here?" I say in an unusually soft tone for me. We sit down, I wish I could see his eyes. But he grits his teeth " I don't know why either, but" he cuts himself off as if he didn't want to say too much or the wrong thing.

"Remember you can tell me if you want but you don't have to" I gave him a small smile (if you don't remember it's the same thing she said about Luke's eyes in chapter 5) his face fills with.. Awe? He gives me a smile "Thank you Ali" for a moment I feel like we are having our own moment, but then it is broken by the Prof starting to talk.

I sigh and look away, but he still looks at me until I give him a side look "see something you like?" He coughs and looks at the prof. I laugh a little and look back at the Prof, on with another boring lecture.

Once the lecture is over I start to talk to Luke "so do you want to go get some food? Or hang out somewhere?" he pauses for a moment. "Do you have a place in mind to hang out?" I smile nodding "the perfect place" he nods "the lets go" I practically jump out of my seat and head down the stairs.

In the corner of my eye I see Cato watch me, I really wonder why he keeps looking at me. I head out the door and to my bike, I don't know how but I knew Luke was still behind me. I straddle my bike "follow me" then I put on my helmet. I wait until Luke is on his bike then I head out. I'm headed to a little place outside of the city, it's my paradise.

It takes us about 1 hour to get there on a lot of back roads to get to the forest. I get off my bike and wait for Luke to. "Follow me" I wave him over as I start walking through the forest, "I found this place just before my parents died... It became my sanctuary after that."

I know the forest like it's my own hand after 30 minutes we reach a cave, it's really dark inside like usual. "Put your hand on the wall and follow the line in the wall.

The cave is a little hard to navigate so I carved a line into the wall and if you have to switch sides there is a little ball at the line indicating to go to the other side of the cave. Got it?"

He nods "you're not going to try and kill me right?" I laugh a little "no don't worry" I go to the side of the cave and place my hand where the line starts.

Luke does the same and be we follow the carving. We go straight for a while then switch to the other side about 4 times and then I start to see a light at the end "we're almost there" we continue for about another minute before the cave lets out to an brightly lit scenery. It's an enclosed on all sides but the top circular opening to the sun, that's setting.

It has a little lake with some small shrubbery and trees on the sides, there's also a small waterfall to the right of the caves exit. "Wow" Luke says I smile that was my reaction when I stumbled upon it.

I start to climb down the latter I brought here so I don't have to climb the wall... again. "Hey what are you doing don't fall?!" Luke says I can hear caring in his tone but his words make me laugh a bit "come on then" I reach the bottom while Luke starts to climb down.

Before he reaches the bottom I take off all my clothes except for my underwear and hop into the lake. When Luke notices I'm in the water he starts to laugh "is this why you love this place so much?"

I shake my head "don't knock it till you try it" he smirks and strips only his pants. He still wears his hoodie over his hair and sunglasses, "why do you always cover your hair?" he stiffens and thinks for a minute.

"Because .... I don't want you to look at me in a weird way" he pauses but when he sees that I'm not responding he continues "I have.. Let's say a birth defect" I nod "and why do you not want me to see it?" he sighs "Because it's... different" "will you show me?" I don't want to think of him any differently and I will make sure I don't.

He obviously doesn't want to show me but he nods anyway. He turns around so I can only see the back of him, he takes of his hoodie and shirt underneath but his head is bowed so I can't see his top hair. He turns around while lifting his head up.

He has two horns, one on each side of his head. (Look at the picture for chapter 11) They aren't very long, about the size of one of my thumbs. I can't deny that it scares me a little scared but I know that this doesn't change him. He walks in to the water.. To me..

"Do they scare you?" I shake my head "their just bone" he smiles "I'm glad... I don't want to scare you" he leans down to me and kisses me, it's just a short kiss but there is so much feeling behind it. He still keeps on his sun glasses. Always. "I love you".... WHAT?! That brings me out of my thoughts!
