Aurora woke up the next morning at 6, ready to start training with her brother. However, she wanted a jog first to clear her mind and she knew her brother wouldn't be able to keep up with her so she was going alone. She got up, took a shower and got changed into her work out clothes. After tying her hair into a ponytail, she made her way down to the kitchen. She walked into the kitchen to find Alex and Sean arguing.

"Just ask her out. She's your soulmate anyway," Sean yelled at his friend once again.

Alex groaned in frustration, "It's not that simple. What the hell am I suppose to say?"

Sean sighed in annoyance, "Part of me just wants to hit you now. She's going to say yes anyway. Why are you afraid of asking her out?"

"What if she says no?"

Aurora giggled at the pair walking into the kitchen, "Well you won't know till you ask her."

"Exactly," Sean yelled as they both notice her. Alex couldn't help but admire the brunette. To him, she was absolutely stunning and he couldn't believe that fate had paired them up together. He never thought he deserved a soulmate, let alone some as amazing and beautiful as Aurora.

"I'll see you boys later." The brunette grabbed a bottle of water before walking out the kitchen. As she left, she could hear Sean saying she had a nice ass before Alex hit him over the head. She was happy that she had an overprotective soulmate but wondered what kind of person he was. She wanted to get to know the person fate had paired her up with.

Hours later she found herself outside with Charles and Erik. Charles was trying to help Erik expand his powers. They both knew what he was capable of but wanted to help him expand his powers. However that wasn't going according to plan as both Charles and Erik were arguing.

"Just shot and I'll catch the bullet," Erik spoke.

Charles sighed, "I know you can. We are suppose to be helping you expand your powers, not work on something that you already know."

"What do you suggest that we do then?"

"Move that satellite," Charles grinned.

Erik looks at him with wide eyes, "You want me to what?" Aurora giggled at the pair before making her way back inside. Her brother could handle Erik's training. She was tired and in desperate need of a shower. After her shower, she made her way to the kitchen. She had wanted to catch up with her sister and wanted to tell her about the adventures she had been on.

"Sister?" Aurora asks as she walks into the kitchen. However when she walked into the kitchen, the only person in there was Alex.

"I'm guessing you're looking for Raven?"

Aurora smiled before sitting down in front of him, "That I am. However, now that I'm here with you, I'd like to get to know you. You know, fate paired us up for a reason."

Alex sighed, "Aurora, you're amazing but I'm not who you want. I'm dangerous and I could hurt you. My mutation is dangerous and I don't have it under control at all. I couldn't stand it if I hurt you. I have no idea what fate was thinking pairing us up together." Alex could never live with himself if he hurt her. He wanted to distance himself from her, knowing she could do better. She was special. He had always been a confident guy but around her, he couldn't even think straight.

Aurora sighed, "I get it. I know what it's like not being able to control your mutation and worrying about hurting the ones that care about. I couldn't go anywhere near Charles for a while after I had thrown him across the room. I know what it's like getting close to someone and worrying about having your heart broken or not being good enough for them. I know you don't want to hurt me, Alex. I'm not pushing you but I will be waiting when you're ready to talk to someone." She couldn't blame him for the way he was feeling as she felt the exact same way. She always worried about hurting the ones closest to her. Now that Alex was in her life, she worried about losing control all the time. She cared about him but she had built her walls so high, she didn't want to get her hopes up.

"I can't let you do that. You're worth fighting for."

"So are you, Summers."
