after that conversation with sir stell, i walked out of the room, wearing a timid smile on my face as i made my way to the staircases of the beato angelico building. i was peacefully reminiscing the words that sir stell told me when suddenly...
i looked at ken with squinted eyes as he laughs his ass off. tuwang tuwa ang loko na nagulat ako ah. -,-
he joked and continued laughing.
i said as i rolled my eyes at him. him and i share the same building as our courses are nearly related to each other. however, i didn't know that it's his lunch time as well since i only talked to Josh earlier that we're gonna eat together. hindi ko naman din kasi super kabisado mga schedule nila. Plus, if you're in college, your schedule would likely be different on some days depende sa trip ng mga prof mo. -,-
i walked briskly towards the stairs but ken caught up with me easily and put his arm around my shoulder.
he teased as he poked my left cheek. i swatted his hand and pinched his waist which caused him to move away from me.
ken continued teasing me with a knowing grin and all i could do was hit him or roll my eyes at his silliness.
but deep inside, i was melting with the memory of my conversation with sir stell earlier. god, i think i have a crush on him. pero syempre, 'di ko muna pwede sabihin kila ken at josh hangga't hindi ako sure. baka mamaya infatuation lang pala. T____T
i groaned, frustrated at him. ang kulit, mare. i lied.
hala parang tanga nagtampo ang bata.
ken crossed his arm over his chest and i only looked at him before hitting his head in a joking way.

i said and chuckled.
i said as we reached the main gate of the campus where josh is waiting for the two of us. we've decided to eat outside the campus for a change. lmao.
josh immediately complained as soon as he saw us.
lokong 'to inaabangan pala ako kaya nandon.
ken started teasing me again as he moves his eyebrows up and down.
josh asked, genuinely confused because he doesn't know what's going on.
ken started laughing once again and i pulled josh towards me as i started walking out of the campus.
i said as i pulled josh but he got curious as well and started asking me about what happened. ken told him about the "smile that i had" earlier and because of that, josh started teasing me as well.
mga hayop, kailangan ko na talaga ng new friends. T____T
unfortunately, these two did not stop teasing and bugging me even when we were in the jeepney to get to our destination so in the end, i had to tell them what happened in the classroom and the conversation that i had with sir stell.
we are currently eating at Ramen Kuroda in SM City Manila which is 8 minutes away from our university. i actually didn't want to eat here because the food is a bit pricy, plus, i've been saving money for something but i didn't want to be stingy this time. my friends know about my financial struggle so usually, when we eat at pricy restaurants, they would just treat me so that i won't have to bother about the money that i'll be spending anymore.
however, i got my second salary from sir stell the other day so i volunteered to treat these two today. ^^ deserve din naman namin 'to. we've been working hard and graduating naman na kami sooooo why not. ;)
i told ken because he volunteered to order for us.
he turned to josh and the latter smirked at him.
josh said, trying to stifle his laugh.
i complained as i pushed ken to walk towards the counter as these two only laughed at me.
ayan, welcome to another episode of jah being a third-wheeler. T______T

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
