Its been 5 years after the incident, 5 years after max left us, the news was shocking for everyone at camp campbell, even the woodscouts and flowerscouts were shocked to know what had Happend. Max was killed by his parents..

Everyone was sad by the news but after a few weeks got back on their feet. But neil was not handling it well, he was devastated, Neil didn't leave his tent for atleast 3 weeks and refused to eat, nikki was there to comfort him but it didn't really work.

Now, 5 years had passed and Neil

Still hasn't recovered from max's death.

Neil doesn't really smile alot anymore, he's always locked up in his room and mostly cries himself to sleep.

Its a Sunday night, Neil was laying down on his bed looking at his phone, scrolling through old pictures and videos of him and nikki and...max.. He clicked on a video where they were causing chaos at camp

"OH SHIT NIKKI WHAT DID YOU DO-" Max yelled

"I SET THE MESS HALL ON FIRE LIKE YOU SAID" Nikki replied

"I SAID THE QUARTERMASTER STORE NOT THE ENTIRE MESS HALL" Max yelled back

"HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT" nikki yelled

"I TOLD YOU YOU FUCKING IDIOT" Max yelled charging at nikki

"What are you laughing at nerd" max said walking towards neil and snatching the camera from him and starting to run away

"MAX GET BACK HERE THATS MY PHONE!" you could hear neil yelling from afar

Max was running and filming himself as you could see neil running behind him.

Neil jumped on max with both of them falling to the ground laughing, then the video stopped.

Neil was smiling at his phone with tears in his eyes. "..i miss you max.." he mumbled as he suddenly felt cold, it wasn't something new for him tho, he's been randomly feeling cold alot, so he brushed it off, placed his phone on his nightstand and drifted off into sleep

I shut off my alarm and got up. "Another day of hell" I thought as I put on my uniform, it was a white long sleeved button up with a blue tie, with a dark blue No-sleeved sweath and dark blue pants. I grabbed my phone and I went to the bathroom. I got ready for the day and headed downstairs where breakfast was waiting along with my dad, nikkis mom and nikki herself, this is because nikki's mom and my dad did get married and nikki's my stepsister now-

"morning neil!" nikki greeted me with a piece of bread in her mouth.

"morning nik" I replied as I sat down at the table and made myself breakfast.

"neillll wanna switch uniforms todayyy I'm sick of needing to wear these dumb skirts" nikki asked me. The girl uniforms were different then those of the boys, the girls uniforms have white, long sleeved button up with a dark red bowtie, a dark blue jacket, a dark red skirt and white knee-height socks.

"no nikki I'm not switching with you-" I reply. She's been asking me for so long even though she knows I'll always deny it.

"darn, one day I'll make you say yes" nikki said with a smirk.

I just shrugged and ate my breakfast. "have a good day at school kiddos!" my dad said. "bye dad see you after school" I said as I grabbed my backpack and ran to the bus stop. Nikki followed not long after and we got on the bus. We sat down in the back and i was staring outside. We arrived at school and i went to my locker. I got out my books for the day and went off to my English class. I spent most of the classes of the day staring outside like always. And before I knew it, it was out last lesson of the day. Science. I was daydreaming again."okay class, dont forget about the big test tomorrow!" the science teacher said. That made me snap back into reality. Shit. I forgot about that stupid test. The bell rang and i rushed home not even waiting for nikki as I emediatly started studying for the test as soon as I got to my room. I locked my door and started studying hard. A few hours had passed as it was now 6pm. I hadn't stopped studying at all. I didn't get what the fuck the topic was about. I was stressing like crazy when I suddenly felt cold again. My window wasn't open at all and my dad was too broke for an airco. It was probably just that weird cold again so I just went back to stressing about the test. "neil I brought you your dinner" candy said from the other side of the door. "not hungry" I replied. "okay but please eat, your dad wants you to eat" she said as I could hear her go downstairs.

"damn neil, don't stress about some stupid grades" I suddenly heard a familiar voice say, I looked around the room but saw no one. God I'm going insane. By the time I finished studying it was already 6am. Damn I studied that long I didn't even sleep? I unlocked my door and went downstairs to make myself coffee. Now it's 7am and everyone woke up. They went downstairs and all ate breakfast "neil aren't you going to eat? You look like a mess" nikki said chuckling. I ignored her and made myself another cup ofj coffee. "come on, we have to go before we're late" I said already heading outside. At school I did what I always did. Staring outside and zoning out. During the science test I was a mess, I kept almost falling asleep and I was stressing like crazy. "earthquakes most typically occur when the 2 edges of what rub against one another?" shit. I know this question but I just can't seem to remember right now, god I'm such a mess. "plates" I heard someone say next to me. I looked around the classroom but there was no-one close enough to say the anwser so loud. "neil the fucking answer is plates, write.it.down." I heard the familiar voice speak again. I nodded to myself and wrote down the answer. The test ended and I ran straight to nikki's classroom. She walked out and i grabbed her hand, running outside. "neil slow down!" she said as I stopped running and let go of her. "what's wrong neil, how did your test go?" she asked me. "nikki, on that test I heard a familiar voice telling me all the anwsers. I'm going insane." I said panicking. Nikki looked at me and chuckled. "maybe it's a ghost!" she said. "nikki don't be ridiculous ghosts aren't real.(what about jasper) " I said as I felt cold again. "let's just go home, I'm cold." I said already heading home. I went home and went back to my room. Just as I sat down on my bed I saw a faint figure on the end of my bed. Then it dissappeared again. I just rubbed my eyes. I'm going insane. As soon as I opened my eyes I saw it. Right infront of me, hanging upside down, smiling at me. My best friend.. "...max..?" he smiled at me. "that's correct neil!" he said. Tears filled my eyes as I tried to hug him but fell right through him. "neil I'm still dead remember.." he said with a sadder tone. He sat next to me. "plates neil, I thought you knew that." he said, wait, did he give me those anwsers? "did you give me those anwsers?" I asked him. He smiled and nodded. "yknow neil, it's sad you still haven't moved on from my death, you barely smile ever since I died" he said. "how do you know that.?" I asked him. "yknow how you've been feeling cold all these years?" he asked me. I nodded in response. "that happens when a ghost gets close to you!" he said to me. My eyes lit up in realization as max smiled. "wait does that mean..?" I mumbled. Max smiled at me again. "I've been by your side all these years neil, I never left you.." he said in a little sad, yet comforting tone. Tears were now streaming down my face. "w-why did you never show yourself or talk to me like you are doing now..?" I asked him. "I only figured out how to talk to people yesterday. Only today I figured out how to make myself visible.." he said. "sorry max but it's so weird to see how you littarly didn't change at all, you're still your 10 year old self" I said chuckling. Max chuckled then smirked at me "oh I can change to how I'm supposed to look if I was alive" he said smirking at me. A white flash appeared and next to me, a taller older version of Max appeared. "ta da!" he said. I was impressed. He looked so..handsome... What am I thinking?! "oh yeah also im only visible to you, idk how to make myself visible to others-so if you talk to me in public it'll look like ur crazy" max told me. "I don't care, hello I have my best friend back, I don't care if I look crazy" I told him. He chuckled. "damn how I wish I could hug you right now neil" he Said smiling. "wait a second..I CAN MAKE THAT POSSIBLE!" I yelled out of excitement. Max looked at me confused. "how will you do that-?" he asked me. "I can definitely create a potion that can bring a dead person back to life to the age it's supposed to be!" I said in excitement. Max looked at me with disbelief "neil there's no way you can do that, what's dead is dead. You can't change that. Right?" max said. I shook my head. "there has to be, and I'll find out how I will do it!" I said confidentially and emediatly ran to the basement where my lab was. Max followed me.

For weeks the brunette tried creating a chemical that would bring his best friend back to him. Max stayed by his side and made sure neil ate, slept and did his schoolwork. He stayed by neils side and stayed with him during school. Neil and max talked all the time wich made the others think he had actually gone insane. But neil didn't care. eventually Christmas came around. Neil didn't celebrate it but David and gwen had organized a Christmas party for camp campbell so he decided to go as he missed his friends from camp. Everyone was sitting in the mess hall while neil was over at the science camp. "I think I've got it" neil said, sprinkling some of the chemical on a dead rabbit. Both of the boys thought it wouldn't really work but to their surprise the rabbits wounds healed and it came back to life. "EUREKA" neil yelled out of excitement. "damn you actually did it neil" max said surprised. "I just hope it works when i spray this on your ghost instead of your body.." neil said hesitentally. Max floated infront of neil. "hey neil, even if it doesn't work I'll still be by your side yknow.." max said in an attempt to comfort neil. Neil smiled softly at him. "heh thanks max" he said as he grabbed the chemical and walked to the mess hall. Nikki was talking to the others as neil sat next to her. "hey neil! So what's that project ur working on?" she asked him excitedly. Neil smiled softly "it's finished but I'm not 100 percent sure it'll work" neil said. Nikki smiled as the others continued talking. Neil took a deep breath and stood up. He stood infront of everyone as the councillors stood behind the campers. Everyone was looking at neil wondering what would happen. Neil took a deep breath as he saw max standing next to him out the corner of his eye. Neil took out a spray bottle where he put the chemical in and pointed it towards max. The other campers looked a little confused as to them neil was just randomly pointing the bottle at the air next to him. "If this really works, consider this my 'Christmas' present for you" neil said, spraying the chemical on his friend. The campers' confused faces soon turned shocked as they saw a figure fade in. There he stood, next to neil. Alive and well...max... . "It worked..IT FUCKING WORKED" neil yelled with tears in his eyes as he immediately hugged max close. Max hugging him back. Nikki stood up and joined the hug, happy max was alive. The other campers all joined the hug aswell as the councillors. After a long hug they finally let max go. "damn max you look pretty good don't ya think neil" Nikki said nudging Neil smirking. Neil turned pink and looked at Nikki. "shut up nikki-" he said. Nikki laughed and so did max. "I know I look good, I'm so hawt" max said confidentiality. Nikki knew Neil had a crush on Max and that max has a crush on Neil so she decided to be a good stepsister to Neil and bring them together. "let's play a game guys! Let's playyy 7 minutes in heaven!" she said. Everyone agreed, including Neil who was a little hesitant. They played for a while and eventually it was max and Neil's turn. Nikki shoved the boys in a closet, causing max to fall on Neil. Both of them falling to the ground. Neil turning a bright red right after max quickly pushed himself off of Neil. "JESUS FUCK I'M SO SORRY NEIL-" max yelled. "I-I uh- w-well- I-it's-" Neil stuttered. He didn't know what to say as he was so bright red. He just took a deep breath and grabbed Max's arm. He pulled max back down to him. "n-neil-?" max said, startled from the sudden pull. Neil took a deep breath and looked into Max's eyes. It was now or never. He pulled Max closer to him and kisses him. Max's eyes widened, not expecting this. He didn't dislike it one bit as he relaxed into the kiss. The boys broke the kiss and looked each other in the eyes. "max..i love you, I always have.." Neil said, still looking in the ravenette's aquamarine eyes. Max chuckled and smiled softly at him. "you fucking idiot..i love you too nerd" max said,laying on the brunettes lap on his back, smiling at him. Neil looked down at max and placed a hand on his cheek. Max smiled and snuggled into Neil's chest. Neil turned a shade of pink for a while but soon placed his hand on Max's hair. He heard Max yawn and felt Max snuggling up to him more. "are you tired Max?" Neil asked. He could feel max nodding. "I haven't slept in 5 damn years Neil" max mumbled "and you're way too damn soft and comfortable". Neil turned a little pink at those words. The pinkness soon faded as he could feel Max sleeping, his breathing going up and down calmly. "Neillll it's been 10 minutes, you've been in there longer then you shouldddd" he could hear nikki's voice say from outside the closet. "be right there-!" he said as he picked up the sleeping boy. He gave max a quick kiss on his cheek and walked outside. "oh my God that is ADORABLE" Preston said fangirling. Nikki agreed as Gwen snapped a photo. "this is blackmail for later" she said smirking. Neil was red from embarrassment as he sat down. Still holding the ravenette in his arms. The party continued and everything was well after.
