As Max approached the tent, David and Gwen were exiting the tent. Discussing whether they think Amber will stay or not. Max enters the tent and sees Amber holding onto her Flower Scout uniform.
"Hey, Amber... are you okay?" Max asks with a concerned tone.
"You know Max, growing up... I never had a lot of friends. I lived on a farm with my aunt and uncle, and I had no one my age around me. I still don't. When I heard my aunt discussing a summer camp with me, it sounded like a perfect opportunity to make friends. After arriving, I shortly realized I wasn't happy. An all-boys camp just didn't fit me. I knew what I was, and I had to live up to it, to be happy. I called my aunt and told her and Pikeman overheard our conversation. He kicked me out. I had enrolled in the Flower Scouts shortly after and it felt great. I felt like I belonged. I was happy. But not everyone understands my life and my life choices, so I was outcasted from the Flower Scouts. When I was waiting for my aunt to pick me up yesterday, I felt like I could never be happy as myself. That is until I heard those voices in the woods. Coming here, meeting everyone, and people genuinely enjoying my company felt amazing. However, my lifestyle can never be a secret," Amber says through tears.
Max looks sad. "Look, Amber, I had no business getting involved in your business. I'm sorry I didn't know," Max says with sincerity. Amber looks up and smiles. "Fuck those camps they don't know what they've lost," Max says with a smile. Amber hugs Max, and thanks him for the nice things he's said.
Max sits down next to her. "So have you picked out a camp yet?" Max asks. "Actually I have," Amber says while picking up a Sewing Camp pamphlet.

The Complete Alchemyst book 2
Continuation of the Alchemyst book 1 Sometimes to be the good guy, you gotta be the bad guy. This is a story about Louis, a guy that was just trying to get along before he got kidnapped and forced to play cook by a Cartel. He's no Heisenberg, however. Now that he's out of Prison and put a beat down on some of the folks that put him away, he's facing the real pressures of Life as a single-person superpower: Everyone wants to use him for their own purposes. Along the way he's met a few girls, some good, some bad. He's looking to save the world, establish an evil empire, secure a future for the people he considers his, and maybe finally kill that damned superhero that started it all. This is not 'the boys'. Not all superheroes or supervillains are evil, The 'super' world is expanding to include aliens, magic, and the children of ancient deities and legends. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate.

They couldn’t even see the blood pooling beneath their feet. They had to do something, anything, to appease the gods. Rarfu was a city long known for being the center of the world. It was the city where the gods came together, and their Temple's stood amongst each other in the grand state. However, the many temples' priests had grown ignorant to their God's silence, unaware that one by one they were dying off in a war of the Heavens. Cors, the Grand God of the Sun, the father of life, had become corrupt and jealous, wanting to wrench power from all the other gods. Tillia, the Goddess of Magick and Shadow, the only God to be able to stand up against Cors, uses her dying breath to reach out to her temple for help. With her remaining strength, Tillia gives Nethira a single command. To save the balance of power she must appease him. UPDATES TUES/THURS after chapter 5 Cover art by Tumblr User: @pigeon-princess This book features characters that are related to in many ways to my other novel "Grimoire". While both stories are their own stand alone series, Sun God's Corruption will add a good amount of depth to Grimoire, and Grimoire shows the unfoldings of the world that will eventually come from the events in Sun God's Corruption. I reccomend reading them both interchangably.
