That night Max didn't go home, he went over to the park. The park was kind of... Hidden. Not many people know it exists, it's behind bushes and right before a forest. He sat on the bench and looked up and watched the stars, he would probably go home tomorrow.
"Max?" You asked, you were walking home from Grocery shopping, and thought you would stop by for a second.
You two share a look. You chuckle awkwardly. "You look excited to see me." You state as you sit down beside him, placing down your groceries. You had gotten the cold groceries yesterday so the things you had in the bag didn't need to be put in the fridge soon.
"No- it's not that... I just didn't expect to see you here, it's getting so late. What are you doing out here?" He asked.
"Groceries." You shrug. "How about you?" She asked.
"Thinking... This place is a good place to think, it's out in the bush... No ones around, it's always quiet..." He mumbled.
"Thinking? Pfft, what would The Max Anderson have to think about?" You grin.
"More than you'd think..." He said.
You don't respond, instead you look up onto the starry sky, it was beautiful. The moon was so bright, it lit you up a little. Max looked at you, he thought you look... Stunning.
Was he just lying to himself? Maybe he did actually like you, more than a "she's a good person" way... Maybe in a... Love interest way. He never felt this emotion, but it felt so strong.
You looked at him, and he gave you a small smile. You giggle. "What was that smile you just gave me?" You smile.
"Nothing... Can't a guy just be happy?" He shrugged.

"Of course you can be happy!" You smile.
He looks at you, still smiling.
"You know, you should really smile more. It looks cute on you." You smile gently.
He grinned, and blushed. This time you actually saw his blushing.
"You seem... Different, tonight." You state. "Did something happen?" You ask softly.
He shakes his head. "It's nothing." He says and looks back up at the sky.
You kept looking at him, the moon lit up his face. You felt your cheeks heat up. Okay, you liked him... Maybe even a little more.
You sigh quietly and look at the ground.
"Still thinking?" You asked. He answered with a simple "mhm..."
"I'll let you think then." You stand up. "I'll stop bothering you. See y-"
"Y/n."
He stands up, and the two of you make eye contact.
"Look I..."
He stopped taking, and looked at the ground. He sighed and looked back up at you, he walked closer to you.
"You..?"
He was now standing right in front of you, you had to look up since he was a bit taller than you.
Before you even realized it, Max had kissed you. You immediately kissed back.
Pulling back from you he stared at you.
"Just felt like something you had to do?" You asked, trying not to giggle. But a small one escaped.
He shook his head and stepped back. You were a bit confused. Max looked to the side for a second but quickly looked over to you.
"Then- Then why did you kiss me?" You asked, confused.
He didn't answer.
Why wasn't he answering?
Why did you hate this so much?
"Max, I really can't take this anymore. Please, Please be honest with me..." You try to sound confident, and loud, but it comes out as a whisper.

He sighed, looking at the ground he looked back up and into your e/c eyes.
"Wanna go out sometime?"
You looked at him with shock, you heart was beating so fast and you could feel your cheeks heating up.
"W-What?"
"Wait, are you actually asking me out?" You asked.
He nodded.
"W...Why?" You asked.
"Y/n- it's because I lied! It didn't feel like something I had to do, I did it because I felt- I something towards you! I've never felt like this before..." He mumbled the last part.
You smiled and blushed. He then smiled a little as well, you looked at the ground and kicked the dirt. Looking back up you gave him a soft smile.
"I'd love to go out sometime." You smiled gently.
Max was honestly shocked, you walked closer to him until you were less than a feet apart.
"Max, I kissed you back for a reason. I... I like you. I just didn't realize until now." You smile. "But what about Neil?" He asked. "I-... I realize I only see him as a close friend now... I.. I really like you, Max. I.. I might even dare to go a little further." You mumble.
Max couldn't help but smile.
"This weekend, at 3pm, I'll take you to the amusement park. Here's my number." He smiled, handing you a piece of paper. "O..Okay!"
"You should be going now, and I should too." He smiled gently. "Y..Yeah. Um.. Bye Max." You smiled.
You gave him a slight peck on the cheek, then quickly pick up your grocery bags and walk home.
He stood there, a blushing, and smiling idiot.

Domain of Man
Isolation is terrible. To feel isolated with your fellow man around you is worse. What if you were dumped in some backwards cave somewhere, completely nude, maybe with your family, or even completely alone? The age of pioneers, heroes, generals, and geniuses is long gone. Humankind has become numb to the world around it because of how paltry everything else is compared to the glory of its history, the sheer volume of their accomplishments, and the sum of its innovations. You can interact with people across the world, travel miles in mere hours, and never prepare your own food or shelter, and it's all accessible to even the normalest of individuals. Artificial intelligence is within arms reach in devices and computers and even houses, and neural interfaces aren't exclusive to the rich and powerful at this point. Someone far in the distance took notice of Earth, saw the multitude of hairless apes swarming its surface. That one went down the checklist to see if humanity had, in fact, beaten the 'game' of Life. Sure enough, they had gone above and beyond the requirements, but nobody had been watching. 'Why might that be?', that one wondered. Protocol was protocol, though, no matter how strange the situation was. They pulled the lever, they flipped the switch. It's time for New Game +. ??? Don't be afraid to leave critique or share your support! I really appreciate any feedback you can give. In any case, I sincerely hope you enjoy the story! It's going to be a wild ride. Caged within the Ravencourt
A short and pain-filled life was all that Melissa was given, and it wasn't until falling asleep for the last time that she was finally given something more. Waking up in a healthy and young body, and faced with an unfamiliar culture and even more inexplicable sights, Melissa had to adapt to her life new as Kalie, the third Princess of the Shattered Isles of Cerith. It didn't take long for Kalie to realize that even though she finds herself in a strange world, she may just be one of the strangest parts of it. As Kalie comes to terms with her bizarre new life, she finds herself set in the sights of the powerful new king of a far off land. Eventually finding herself taken away to be Caged within the Ravencourt. This story is world spanning, and slow to start. It's my intention to build up towards the epic story I'm hoping to tell. Don’t expect over the top powers, just smart characters using magic interestingly. And, like my other stories, the focus is on the characters themselves, less so the world they’re in. Enjoy!

I Need Time
An action, adventure, mystery and strategy story about a strong male lead. Author note: First time author, good amount of buffer chapters (over 50k words) so I will not drop this book anytime soon. This book will mostly be from the perspective of the MC. On average +5k words will be published per week. I have not chosen some of the genres and tags as I do not wish to give away parts of the story. I added the content warning tags as there will come a time for profanities, gore and maybe "traumatising" content. Though, in my opinion the content will be mild if not light. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER***** Synopsis: A college ICT student transmigrates to another world filled with magic and learns magic from a dragon. MC uses modern knowledge to develop magitech technology. MC starts his adventure using the technology he develops! Saving princesses, fighting hidden criminal organizations, learning how horribly medieval peasants live, reasoning with uneducated narrow minded people, investigating the nature of magic and searching for gods... Story review: A fantasy/sci-fi story filled with some common cliches yet presents somewhat original ideas and a few unexpected twists & turns here and there. This novel also explores a few of the commonly ignored topics concerning medieval fantasy like hygiene, culture, education(ignorance, narrow mindedness) and the fact that everybody is short because magical crops cost too much. Modern knowledge in such a setting can often times revolutionize the world if the protagonist is not an idiot or weak willed or thinks something stupid like he should not intervene in a society that systematically practices unequality of opportunity, slavery and other nasty things, of course sometimes the protagonist can be just unlucky by being enslaved, etc. In our case we are granted a protagonist who had an initial stroke of luck, learning magic from a dragon instead of struggling for years without it or randomly dieing. After that his luck goes down the drain. It is arguable whether the princess is a good stroke of luck or not, I digress. Anyway the challenges the protagonist must face will grow and no more luck or helping hands. After gaining enough power and security the protagonist will change the world for the better or at least give it a stronge push onto the right track. He will make a lot of lives better but things are never so simple and there is much more to this world than meets the eye... Missing genres & tags: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Magic. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER*****
