[Chapter 33]
“Vandal Savage has a daughter?” Ray asks, barging into Rip’s office where most of us were waiting.
“Apparently it’s true, there is a lid for every pot,” Stein said.
“And this lid is gonna be very upset when he finds out we took his pot,” Jax states. I turn my head to stare at him. That is not how you use the expression.
“You know what I mean,” he said, blushing cause everyone was staring at him.
“So what’s the problem? It’s not like we’re on Savage’s Christmas card list.” Leonard starts.
“And we snagged the bracelet.” Mick finished. “You’re welcome by the way.”
“We need to weaponize this thing before Savage finds out that both it and his daughter are missing,” Ray said.
“Actually, I think I’ve got that figured out, but I’m gonna need you to burn something for me,” Kendra turns to Mick.
“About time,” Mick said.
“We also need to figure out what we’re going to do with our new guest,” Rip says.
“She’s seen us and the ship. If she runs back to Savage, we’re giving him a huge advantage,” Sara says.
“So make her our advantage. We send Papa Savage a finger. And we keep sending them till he puts his own head on the chopping block,” Mick offered darkly.
“That is a positively lurid idea. I know we’re in the midst of a war, but can’t we maintain our honor?” Stein asks.
“I’d rather maintain my life Professor,” Mick replies.
“If she is Savage’s daughter, then she would know the details of his defense,” I say, stopping whatever that conversation was in its tracks.
“Yes, well how exactly are we going to get those details out of her?” Rip asks me.
“I’m on it,” Leonard says.
I had this feeling rush upon me when he said that. Instantly, I didn’t want him anywhere near her. No, I will not be jealous. Why am I even jealous in the first place? Ugh, feelings are so complicated.
I walk back to my rooms and fiddle with the ring that Johnathon gave me. It’s weird to think about my old life. I remember loving him. He seems to know so much more about what we are now, maybe he can tell me what’s going on with all these new powers that pop up out of nowhere.
How did he say this ring works? I ask aloud for Johnathon to come but nothing happens. I do it again and then groan in frustration. Of course he can’t travel through time. Especially to 2166 considering how crappy it is.
I turn around to go get something to snack on when I nearly run into the person standing right behind me.
“Jesus! You scared the crap out of me,” I hit Johnathon on the arm.
“I thought you would have been able to sense I was here,” Jonathan smiles.
“You thought wrong!” I say, throwing my hands up into the air.
“So, why did you call me to this ghastly time period?” Jonathan asks, sitting down onto my bed.
“How did you get to this ‘ghastly time period’?” I ask back.
“You know how.” he replies vaguely.

“If I knew, I wouldn’t be asking,” I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest.
“I told you the last time I met you. The rings,” He said holding up his hand with his ring.
“I still don’t understand,” I say.
“Think about it this way, every Elemental has the ability to use the elements to their will. Your personality creates the additional two powers,” Johnathon starts to explain.
“Two powers?” I ask.
“Shush, stop interrupting me. One power is stronger than the other but yes, two. If you have another Elemental’s ring, then each power gets amplified.” Jonathan continues explaining.
“So your powers are time travel and…”
“Memories. I can go through a person’s memories. My time-traveling power is stronger because I can technically teleport to any place through time. Elementals that can go through memories can also take them away or fabricate new ones,” Jonathan says.
“But you can’t.” I say.
“Yep.”
“So what are mine?” I ask him eagerly.
“I’m pretty sure yours are telekinesis and shielding. Haven’t you noticed how easy it is for you to control air? You’re not really using air though. You’re using your telekinetic ability,” Jonathan explains.
“So my telekinetic ability is stronger than my shielding?”
“Actually right now they are both equally strong because your sister, Emily, her main power was shielding. I’m not sure what her second power was though.” Jonathan says, a little quieter than before.
“And Jayden’s? What were his?” I ask frantically.
“Jayden’s were teleportation and time-travel. He could teleport anywhere in the world in a split second but he can’t teleport through time like I can. He can’t travel as far back in time as me either because that’s his second power. He could probably only go back a few hours or a day at the most,” Jonathan said.
This actually makes a lot of sense now. With right now and in the past.
“This clears up a lot of confusion,” I smile and lean against a wall. “But there’s one thing I don’t understand. There was this moment when it felt like I sucked all the power around me and then kind of projected it out.”
“Ah, that’s because of all the power you control from wearing all the rings. It’s kind of like a sonic boom of power.”
“Huh, that’s pretty amaz-” I say but cut off because I heard something. Like the Earth shuddering. Jonathon heard it too because he stood up extremely fast. Things in my room start shaking and it sounded like a giant was stomping around outside.
“Sounds like a problem, I’ve got to go to the bridge,” I head toward the door. Then I stop and turn around. “Thanks for clearing things up and for looking out for me.” I smile toward Jonathon.
“Hey, I’m not saying goodbye yet. It’s been a while since I’ve had some excitement,” Jonathan give me a wider smile and follows me to the bridge.
We turn through a hallway and come face-to-face with a lot of refugees. I spot Stein at the far door, ushering more and more in.
Jonathan and I walk over to him just as Rip barges in.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Rip hisses at Stein.

“Saving a township by the looks of it,” Stein replies.
“Since when did my vessel become a life raft?”
“Since I decided we can’t leave these people here to be slaughtered. You recruited us to save the world and that includes everyone here,” Stein counters.
Rip looked like he wants to tear his hair out. He turns around and nearly walks into me. He sees Jonathan and looks like he's about to lose it.
“Who the hell is this?” Rip sighs.
“An old friend. He’s here to help,” I reply.
“Very well. Gideon, power the engines and get us into the air the moment the last refugee is aboard,” Rip yells. Another huge footstep shook the ship and rang in my ears.
“And get the weapons system online.” Rip says. We rush into the bridge to see Kendra clinging onto one of the chairs as the ship shakes again and again.
“What’s happening?” She asks.
“It would seem Savage has come back for his baby girl,” Rip replies.
“The last of the refugees are aboard, Captain.” Gideon said.
“Strap yourself in.” Rip says to us. “Gideon, external floodlights to maximum.”
The ship rose into the air with the headlights searching for what was causing the mini earthquakes. Ray and Sara rush in just as I realize what it is.
“That’s-” Sara starts.
“Incredible.” Ray finishes.
A gigantic robot stood face to face with our ship. It glowed and was extremely tall. It threw out it’s hand like it was going to hit us but the ship ducked violently before the robot could hit us.
“Ugh! Fire! Now!” Rip yells at Gideon. The ship starts shooting the robot but it does nothing to damage the robot. It reaches out to grab the ship.
“Hold onto something!” Rip shouts just as the robot grabs the ship and explosions happen everywhere.
“Had enough excitement yet?” I ask Jonathan.
“Is this what all your missions are like?” Jonathan asks in return.
“Pretty much.” I reply.
“Fire Gideon! Fire everything!” Rip yells.
The Waverider was shooting everything it got. The robot then threw the ship and we crash landed pretty far away from the robot.
I groan as I tore off the seatbelt that was crushing my lungs. The team stood up and Rip twisted out of his seat.
“Gideon what’s our status?” Rip asks.
“I’m gonna go with lousy.” I say, helping Jonathan up.
Rip ignores me and continues issuing out instructions to Gideon.
“Shut down all essential systems so Savage’s robot--” Gideon cuts Rip off.
“Too late Captain. Apparently, it has determined you are still alive because it is closing in on our location,” Gideon says.
“What happened?” Stein asks.
“We seem to have encountered Savage’s megaweapon,” Rip replies.
“And he kicked our ass,” Sara continues.
“Gideon, how much time do we have?” Rip asks.
“I estimate the robot should reach our location within the hour,” Gideon says. “Our propulsion engine was severely damaged in the crash and is no longer functioning."
“So where does that leave us?” Sara asks.
“Alright, our only option is to take the Jumpship and try to outrun it,” Rip says.
“The jumpship seats seven. The cargo bay is filled with refugees.” Stein says frantically.
“I’m well aware,” Rip replies.
“Well we can’t leave them there,” Stein says but stops and breathes unevenly. He’s been stabbed by a piece of glass.
Rip instantly took him to the MedBay and the team split up to think. I sigh and plop down on one of the chairs that are still upright.
“So you’ve come this far and your team quits?” Jonathan asks.
“No. Trust me. Rip is going to have a mindblowing revelation and we’re gonna have a plan that is most likely to go horribly wrong. Then we manage to do something right that puts us one step closer to saving the future. In about five minutes, someone’s gonna convince Rip that we gotta kick that robot’s ass instead of running away from it.” I explain.
“You like it here with them don’t you? They’re your new family.” Jonathan says, grabbing my hand. Holding his hand in that moment felt like it did in the past. Like I was safe. Like nothing was going to change. But it was wrong. I may love him still… but I love Leonard now too.
Jonathan must've read my thoughts because he said something that made me feel comfortable and happy.
“Friends hold hands too you know. I know everything has changed but you will always be my closest friend,” Jonathan says and I smile.
“You should have come to me sooner Jonathan. Instead of watching, you should have helped me,” I tell him.
“I know and I am so sorry but this was something that you had to overcome. If I helped, the world would be a lot different, and I’m not sure if it would be for the better,” Jonathan says softly.
Just at that moment, Rip barges onto the bridge.
“Suit up, we’re going to take down Savage,” Rip says.
“What about the robot?” I ask.
“Dr. Palmer has a plan for that. But I’m afraid you are much more needed when we take on Savage. Bring your friend too,” Rip nods at Jonathan and races out of the bridge.
“What did I tell you?” I laugh. “Mindblowing revelation.”
Hey guys! What do you think of this latest chapter?
I brought Jonathan back into the story. What do you think their past was like? Should I write a chapter on their past?
It's been two weeks and I've updated, just like a promised. We are nearing the end of the book and I am sooooooooo excited! I'll probably update again in another two weeks. I would update sooner but I am so swamped with homework. School is literally trying to kill me.
I'll leave this author's note short but I've started another fanfiction. This one is a hunger games fanfiction. It's called "A Leap of Faith". If you guys can please check it out, that would mean the world to me.
Thank you all so much for reading. We are almost at 30k views and 1k votes. Please help this chapter push it over the edge.
I'll update in two weeks so mark your calanders.
Thank you for all of you support.

The Summoned - Complete
In a world of magic, ruled by many warring races, the human kingdoms are being pushed to the brink of collapse. In a desperate bid to gain the strength to stand on an equal footing with the other nations, they perform a forbidden ritual to summon combat slaves from another dimension. Unluckily for them, Mors Letus, recently named by their world's God of Death, was one of them. **** Warning **** This is a re-release (The Summoned) of the first book I wrote in partnership with my brother (who later forced the story to be pulled (It was released on his account here)). I have started writing my own version of the story (BOM: The Summoned) and will continue to primarily invest in that, though, now I have permission to re-release this one, I plan finish this as I have the drafts and it was close to the end of the first book. Many characters/scenes and events match/Will match BOM: The Summoned, especially in future arc's (Past Flatner forest). If you don't like spoilers, don't want to get confused between the two stories or hate first attempts at writing (god awful grammar/sentence structure and storytelling), I would advise against reading.

Arc 1 - Azzarath:Origin Point begins with a celebration of the arrival of an Immortal, male kitsune. Whereupon he begins to spin the tale of his origins to a gathered crowd well into such a celebration. The story he weaves begins upon his first world, our Earth, where his first body is dying from something incurable. He is then transferred into a game-like world, and gains a new body that is far stronger. However, this game-like world has its own secrets, which causes the MC to be summoned to a new world. It is here, in this new world, where his personality really comes forth, shaking the world to its very core.Arc 2 - Terra:The story continues with the kitsune's new audience, an army of monsters, as they journey from the forests of Nu'Bai and onwards towards the Lichdom known solely as Necropolis. Whereupon they learn of how he conquered worlds within an area known only as The Abyss. There, his past self meets new creatures and annoyances, as he and his continue to grow ever closer to obtaining their world called Terra. Arc 3 - Abyss:War. The end result in a conflict of words which fall upon deafened ears of those who could not come to an understanding; an agreement. Instead, they must fight one another so that one must come out on top in order to shout to the heavens, "I am right; you are wrong!" Thus is the same in this installment within the series of Origin Point, but instead of outright war, the Ageless speaks to a new audience of Gods, Goddesses, Immortals, and their children of how his past self had to venture into the tutorial world known as Terra where he must fight a War of Attrition. This is so, as he must draw out the God reigning over their world so that he may fight and conquer this deity in order to regain what he desires most. His world. His Terra.Special Thanks to Christian Bentulan for creating the covers for Origin Point.https://www.facebook.com/coversbychristian/___________________________________________________________Origin Point was inspired by the games Everquest and D&D, along with the book series Dragonlance, and the light novel Overlord. This story is a dark fantasy full of torturous experiences. It is not for everyone, but it is tempered with some fluff.
