《Elemental Control: A DC Legends of Tomorrow Fanfiction》I ALMOST BLEW UP!

[Chapter 5]
Leonard, Mick and I arrived at the warehouse.
"I don't think that's how people dress in the 70s," Leonard said observing my outfit.
I'm wearing blue jean overalls with little rips in them with a black long sleeve crop top underneath. My hair is simply let down and my highlights are showing. I'm wearing black G by Guess shoes and I have throwing knives and daggers everywhere on my body. I also have two small loaded guns safely tucked away.
Even though I have my powers and my fists.
"You're right. I should be wearing a bikini to a criminal gathering. That's so much more like the 70s," I retort. I don't care how you're supposed to be dressed, I wear what I feel like wearing and stuff that's comfortable.
Leonard rolls his eyes and shows a hint of a smile on his lips.
"Looks like they're checking credentials. And we don't have any." I state, observing the guards and counting in my head about how many people will be inside.
"We got this. Trust us," Mick stated as Leonard bumped into a male, stealing his credentials.
"Excuse you," Leonard said simply to the man.
"I don't trust anyone," I state and start walking toward the guard at the door.
"IDs," He asked and Leonard gave him the stolen card.
"You don't look like an Amhad Ahmed Izz-Al-Din," The guard commented gruffly.
"I'm Arab. On my mother's side," Leonard said smoothly.
"Is there a problem?" Stein said to the guard, walking up to us heatedly. "I don't like delays. Do you know who we are? My associates and I are the operational arms of 'Scimitar'. The Lombardo Square bombing, 1963. Murder of Henri Tyran, Canada, 1970. Konig Airport Massacre, 1971. Bottom line? You don't want to doubt me," Stein said convincingly as Mick and I smirked at each other and the guard let us in.
"You're a special kind of crazy. I like it." Mick said to Stein.
"We're in," Leonard said so the rest of the team could hear through the communication devices in our ears.
We walked into the room to find it filled with arms weapons.
"Oh this is gonna be fun," I muttered eagerly.
"So why don't Sara and I get to play terrorist?" Jefferson whined through the comms. Sara was not happy to have been put on the backup team but there would be too many of us in the field at one time.
"This is just a kidnapping. No need for your nuclear fireworks. And between Sara and Isabelle, I choose Isabelle because she can fight and kill and she's got powers," Leonard explained.
I can practically hear Sara fuming on the other side of the comms.
"Savage'll be one of the buyers. Once we get eyes on him, hang back. We'll boost him once this is all over," Leonard instructed.
"Piece of cake," I replied, smiling widely.
Leonard and Mick smile back at me, sharing my excitement but Leonard still has that weird look in his eyes. I take a deep breath and focus on the area around me.
"Any sign of him?" Carter asked through the comms.
"No," I said simply even if he wasn't referring to me.
"He's not here, boss," Mick added to Leonard.
"Let's move out," Leonard said before a man jumped onto the stage.

"If I could have your attention. Thank you all for coming. I promise it will be well worth your time," A man said as Savage walked up onto the stage.
"Seems we were wrong about Savage. He's not one of the buyers," Stein whispered.
"He's the seller," I finished.
"This is a variable-yield nuclear warhead, capable of producing a blast equivalent to one megaton of TNT. Shall we begin our bidding at $100 million?" The man next to Savage called out.
A gun went off.
"$100 million. Do I hear $105 million?" The auctioneer asked and another gun went off.
"$110 Million?" The auctioneer asked. This continued until I saw a different man walk up to Savage and I used my sensitive hearing to listen to in.
"Is everything all right, sir?" The man asked a very focused looking Savage.
"They're here. That group. Where are they from?" Savage asked looking at us.
"We have been made," I whisper to Leonard and he whispers it to Stein.
"We need to bid. Fire your gun in the air," Stein said and Mick did so.
"That's $125 million," The Auctioneer said.
"Congratulations, Professor. You just bought yourself a nuclear weapon," Mick said to Stein as a man in a grey suit walked over to us.
"Well, well, we seem to have a new player. But you seem a bit academic. How did you get in here and who are you?" The newcomer asked Stein.
"As of a few seconds ago, I'm nuclear power," Stein replied confidently.
"Yet I don't know you or your organization, and I know everyone," The man stated firmly. He locked eyes with me and I notice the surprise in his brown eyes at his mental note of my violet ones. Typical.
"Hey. Back off," Mick said to him gruffly.
"Watch your tone," The man said teasingly to Mick.
"Is there some sort of problem here?' Savage said walking up to us.
"Yeah, the master race here is starting to bug me," Mick said.
"We're just going to get our nuclear warhead and be on our way," Leonard said pushing Mick back a bit to not cause a fight.
"Not without paying first," The auctioneer said, causing a dilemma because we don't exactly have 125 million dollars in our back pockets.
"Once we've validated that the warhead's operational. Personally, I find it highly unlikely that you were able to accumulate enough fissionable material in this era to fashion a workable nuclear device," Stein said cockily.
"You idiot," I muttered while facepalming.
"This era?" Savage asked amused at our screw up.
"Figure of speech," Stein replied, noticing his mistake.
"I got a feeling you guys might want to get those helmets of yours on," Jax said to Carter and Kendra through the comms.
"Now that I think about it, you don't exactly look like a 70s broad," Savage said pointedly at me.
That just set me off. I opened my mouth to retort at Savage, especially since he called me a broad but Leonard covered my mouth with his hand and sent me a look that said shut up.
I purse my lips together but sent Savage a death glare.
"Change of plans. I'll provide a 25% discount to the organization which brings me the heads of these men," Savage called out to the others.

"Can I burn some stuff now?" Mick asked Leonard.
"I wish you would," Stein replied instead and all hell broke loose.
Mick exploded a crate of bombs as Kendra and Carter flew in.
Jax arrived and I heard him and Stein talking.
"You screwed that up pretty good," Jax said.
"I had it handled," Stein replied.
"I like how you actually believe that," Jax rolled his eyes as the two merged into Firestorm.
I pull out my guns and start shooting the men that we coming in to attack me. I took a few down before I focused and noticed a ticking noise coming from the bomb.
I ran toward it, taking down a few men along the way. When I reached the bomb, I saw that someone turned it on and in one minute and thirty seconds, we will all be annihilated.
"Um, we got a nuclear bomb here!" I call out in the comms. A few seconds later, a tiny Ray flew into the bomb with his Atom suit.
All of a sudden, the timer went from 1:20 to 30 seconds.
"Ray! What did you do?" I yelled.
"I didn't do anything. It must have a fail-safe," Ray explained frantically, appearing full size beside me.
"Fantastic, in 30 seconds we'll be ash," I said sarcastically.
"Professor! Jax! We need you!" Ray cried out in the comms. Firestorm raced over to us and noticed the ticking bomb. 25 seconds left.
A couple of guys came to attack us and I shot two of them with the last of my bullets and then yanked two throwing knives out from my sleeve. I throw them that the last two men and killed them instantly.
"You didn't have to kill them," Ray muttered quietly.
"Would you rather they kill us?" I retorted.
"Guys! Remember the bomb? What the hell do we do?" Jax yelled over all the commotion.
I close my eyes and think for a second. I hear a man race toward us and I quickly grab a knife from my shoe and throw it at the man with inhuman speed. He drops dead to the floor.
I can feel Jax, Ray, and Stein's shock and surprise of my knowledge of the man but I ignore them.
"If we could get to a deserted location, I could absorb the energy from the blast of the bomb," I say hurriedly. 20 seconds left.
"Can you absorb that much though? Even I can't do it," Jax asked. Is he actually concerned for me? I push the thought from my mind as I reply.
"Yeah, it will be fun," I say sarcastically to hide my fear. "But I'll need a ride."
"Sure I can help..." Ray started but was cut off by Firestorm grabbing my waist and the bomb, and then flying off.
I laugh slightly and then mentally facepalm. I need to stop being happy and nice around these humans. Metahuman or just plain human, they killed my family. They don't deserve to be forgiven.
We land in a deserted island a few miles away from the criminal gathering warehouse. 5 seconds.
"You might want to take cover, or at least stand 10 feet away," I said warningly. Jax took a step back and no further.
I roll my eyes and sigh, cracking my knuckles and then placing my hands on the bomb.
"Lets do this thing," I say and the bomb blew up. I close my eyes and focus on all of my powers to help control the area of the explosion around me.
I can feel my clothes start smoldering and burning in some areas to the extreme heat around it. I'm sweating from trying to collect the energy around me and I'm already exhausted but I focus on pulling all the energy inside my body.
I scream at the struggle to force the energy inside myself and fall to my knees but I keep my hands placed on the bomb and continue forcing the energy inside me.
Honestly, I feel like I'm being electrocuted at the highest setting nonstop. I'm heating up just as I collect the last of the energy and I feel my powers growing crazy inside of me, feasting on all of the energy.
I fall to the ground and clutch my head as a huge headache engulfs me. It's similar to when the particle accelerator went off and all the energy entered me. My powers were uncontrollable and more powerful than ever in my entire life, and I had a migraine for a whole week.
I bet this time will be just the same.
I open my eyes and I see Jax coming over to help me but I hold up my hand to stop him.
"Please, don't touch me," I say weakly and I drop my hand. The instant it hits the ground, a huge evergreen tree sprouted up. I groan as I roll onto my back. I'm too exhausted to sit up.
I can tell Jax and Stein want to ask a lot of questions but he's staying silent, which I'm grateful for.
"When the particle accelerator went off and the energy entered me, my powers were uncontrollable and more powerful than ever in my entire life. Things I could never do before, I could do now because of all the energy. But once again, my powers were difficult to control and I had a migraine, which definitely didn't help," I explain.
I roll onto my stomach and begin to drag myself to the ocean. I can tell Jax wants to help me without looking behind me.
"Go back to the ship. I'll meet you there in a second. I just need to explode myself to get as much energy as possible out of my system. I don't want any of you dead," I say. At least not dead yet.
"Are you sure..." Jax started but I cut him off.
"I'm fine," I say a little rougher than I meant to. A few seconds later, I hear Jax fly off and I continue dragging myself to the water.
I go underwater and half swim, half sink to get to a spot where I won't hurt anyone. I don't need air but the pressure was making my head worse.
But I keep going, deeper and deeper until the ground starts leveling out. Then I release the power that was bottled up inside me.
Still, I can't believe I almost blew up for these humans. What is wrong with me?
