《STARCO One Shots》I didnt mean to...?

Marco had a crush on Star. He had to accept it. What was it? Maybe it was her perky personality, her warm smile, her breath-taking looks, or her determination. All combined? None of them? He didn't understand. All he knew was that she was right for him. Was he ever going to tell her? No. He didn't want to ruin the perfect friendship he had with the girl of his dreams. Sure, he's thought about being with her, but it could never be. Since it was the last day of school, the kids were crazy today. There was a party today.
Star and I got ready. I wanted to look nice for Star, but also very casual. So, I picked this out.
The shirt was a little tight, but I figured it was alright. I combed my hair, and looked at myself. "Lookin Good, Safe Kid!" I was beginning to like that nickname. As I went downstairs to wait for Star, I started to prep how to not drool. She came out, and I was in awe.
"How do I look?!" She asked with the grin that made me love her. I stared at her. "Earth To Marco!!! How do I look?!" She said. I snapped out of it, and managed to say,"Y-You look... beautiful..." I kept gazing at her, and she waved her hand in my face. "MARCO! We should get going."
Star and I had only been here for an hour, and I already wanted to go home. Suddenly, a slow also gets had been playing. Everyone but us was up dancing, and I wanted to ask her to dance. "Miss Butterfly" I asked in a funny tone. "Would You care to dance?" I said, holding out my hand. She laughed, touched my hand, and said,"Why of course, Marco Diaz..." when she said my name, chills went down my spine. I led her to the same floor, and put my hands around her waist. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and I blushed a little. We started to dance together. We went in sync with each other, but we didn't stop staring into each other's eyes. Back and Forth we went as the song flowed, and my heart fluttered a little bit. We never stopped the gaze between our eyes, and we smiled. Then, the song suddenly changed. We were still holding each other, and both of us tripped. Suddenly, She was against the wall, and I had accidentally pinned her. We looked at each other, and blushed as red as the blood moon that bonded us. I was so tempted to make my lips meet hers, but so many things could've gone wrong, and I couldn't risk it. We stayed in the position for a while, and I, unknowingly, kissed her. I could feel her sense of surprise, but then, she kissed back. I felt her soft lips connecting with mine, and I instantly sinked in. She grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, and pulled me closer, while I stayed pinning her. As we kissed, I started to deepen it with more passion, and she returned it. As the kiss heated, we started to hear the music die down. I broke the kiss, and we looked at each other. Before she could speak, I kissed her again, and did the same. Our arms started to travel, and we felt connected to each other. Suddenly, I felt a tap in my shoulder. I stopped, turned around, and saw Janna. "Sorry to ruin this, but I need to ask Star something." We both blushed. I went away from my position, and Star went with Janna. After a few moments, she went back, and I looked at her. "S-So... What did she want?"'I asked. "Sh-She wanted her phone that I held for her in my purse." I chuckled. "That girl can't function on her own, can she?" and we both laughed. Then, we stared into each other's eyes. Suddenly, I heard a song that Star and I both ran to the dance floor, and started to dance. At the end, I grabbed her, spinned her, and pulled her into a kiss.

"Party was Great! Huh Marco?!" She asked, still enthusiastic. "Yeah! Thanks to you!" I said. "Had a great time, I'm guessing?" I said with a smirk. "Yeah! Thanks to you..." and we sat in awkward silence. We then started to laugh. "Well, I'm tired. Good Night Marco! I Love ya!" She said. " I L-Love ya too. Good N-Night." She went to bed, and I went outside. "YESSS!" I screamed. "STAR BUTTERFLY AND I ARE IN LOVE!!" Suddenly, I heard the same music we had danced to at the party in Star's room. She was dancing around. "I love Marco Diaz! I love Marco Diaz!" She sang as she foolishly spun around. Then, I smiled, and went up to her. I knocked on her door, and she opened it. "May I join you?" I said in a silly voice. She nodded, and we danced until the next morning.

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)

The Dreamside Road
Five years after the world fell into chaos, a treasure of artifacts is up for grabs. The relics of the Dreamside Road offer a power that could help rebuild or annihilate what remains. Orson Gregory is an adventurer for hire, but hunts this treasure for answers, not glory. Enoa Cloud’s late aunt helped hide the Dreamside Road, but following in her aunt’s supernatural tradition offers her as much peril as power. Together, Orson and Enoa battle a magic-obsessed militia, clash with a host of rivals, and face constant adventure on their journey to find the Dreamside Road. *Updates Monday and Friday The Dreamside Road is now on TopWebFiction! Vote so people know this exists. _____________________________________ NOTE: The Progression tag applies specifically to Enoa. Also, fair warning, that element doesn't enter the story until she begins her studies. Content: Main characters range in age from teenagers to people in their thirties and older, but it will not contain gratuitous violence or explicit sexual content. It also won’t shy away from implication, anything to make this story and its world feel more real. Characters will freely allude to potentially triggering topics, including living with a disability, facing terminal illness, coping with trauma, surviving societal destabilization, and the consequences of bigotry. At its most intense, the Dreamside Road is a hard PG-13. Worldbuilding: This is not a story with a lot of early exposition scenes, conveniently explaining ‘magic systems’ and political dynamics. Readers will learn, progressively, as the characters do. This story/world has a ‘magic system’, or rather, a set of systems, but the effort to quantify and understand the truth of the setting plays a role in the backstory, as well as in some character motivations. In that same vein, not every character has a firm grasp on the nature of their world, and not every piece of dialog from every character should be taken as entirely truthful Worldbuilding. Also, this isn't the softest Sci-fi. There are at least some basic explanations given for various elements, but Royal Road does not give me a spectrum to choose from. Given the choice between hard and soft, let's just say The Dreamside Road won't be cited in any college Physics papers. Setting and Theme: The Dreamside Road walks the line between fantasy and science fiction and deals with finding one’s place in a changing world. Many of the characters in this story are United States natives and the story begins in the United States, my homeland. However, knowledge or interest in this country is not necessary to understand the story, especially as it progresses. Also, as this is a novel that deals with societal collapse and while that damage may be widespread, in story, I don’t want to overstep and critique the culture of others’ unless I have particular knowledge in a given area. Ultimately, the Dreamside Road is American in the same way Harry Potter is English, fantasies that do not have a full secondary world, but with enough original elements to fully diverge the setting from our the real world.
