《Burnouts》The Worst Has Yet to Come

Ten seconds left in the game and James Novak is the goalie. He's the best we have, but my best is better. With the ball in my net, I ran through the other players, most of them falling on the way to catch me. How sad. When I'm close enough, I shoot the ball into the goal. James tries, of course, and he comes close. Unfortunately for him, I score.
My team cheers and parades around me. It was a friendly scrimmage, but I'm even better when there's real competition.
Tony runs over to give me a high five.
"Nice one, Jace. Those Brownstone kids don't stand a chance against us, man."
"And they never will," I smirk.
"Looks like you've got some fans over there, huh?" He says slyly and points over to the girls giggling and smiling at us on the bleachers.
"They're here for all of us, I'm sure." I try to sound modest, though I can tell their eyes are on me. "I'm going to go say 'hi,' but I'll see you in the locker room, yeah?" I start walking over to the girls before Tony could respond.
I'm scoring on the field consistently, but Heather won't even throw me a bone.
The worst of it is when we're making out, and it feels like we're getting somewhere, the clothes start slipping off...and then she stops us. At the start of our relationship, her sex drive was on cocaine. I can't pinpoint the moment where it stopped.
Yet, she blames me? "You kill the romance when you try to be romantic just for sex." News flash, Heather, the honeymoon stage is over. Sitting around doing nothing together is romantic when we've been dating for two years. Why should I have to leave a rose by your door every day so that you feel wanted?
But, that's fine...I don't care if I'm no longer a "turn on" to you, because it seems as though not everyone shares your opinion.
"Ladies," I smile and nod in greeting. "Did you enjoy the game?"
They smile at each other as though they're sending messages telepathically before one of them decides to speak.
"I'm guessing you're the star player," a girl with long, black hair eyes me.
I chuckled arrogantly, "what gave it away?"
"You took control." She smirked, "you do that often?"
I raised my eyebrows at how bold she was. I haven't seen any of them around, but they give off an underclassmen impression. What is it about girls that draw them to what's not good for them?
I open my mouth to respond but am stopped when Trevor jumps onto the lowest bleacher to grab our attention.
"What are you doing with all of these not-Heathers? Aren't you the one always yelling at me for throwing pretty women at you?"
I sigh, "I'm not doing anything wrong. We're just chatting."
"Sure, you are." Trevor shakes his head in amusement. "Well, I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I have some information you should be let in on." He puts his hand on my back and leads me away from the field and everybody on it.
"Is it bad?" I ask worriedly.
"That depends..."
"On what?"
"Leo Rylin," Trevor says nervously. "My P.I. pulled tapes from the surveillance cameras outside of your house on the night of the party. One of them caught Leo throwing the tape in the street."
"You're kidding?" I huff, "that guy's a cockroach. You can't get rid of him!"

"Should one of us talk to him? And by one of us, I mean me."
"No...we can just let it go for now. People like him try to avoid the cops, anyway. We're fine."
"Great, we can forget this ever happened," Trevor sighed in relief. "Hell, we can forget he was born."
"I'd love to, but I can't." Trevor gives me a confused look. "Heather's his tutor."
"Sh," Alison giggles as she covers my mouth and backs me into her bedroom.
I whisper, "where are your parents?"
"They're sleeping, and boys aren't allowed in here after eight, so keep quiet." She smirks as she pushes me onto the bed.
"Daddy's little girl has gone bad, I see."
Gotta love a girl who is only innocent when it counts.
"What do you want to do?" Alison straddles me, so what she wants to do is apparent.
"I have an idea..." I smile deviously, "remember why I told you to dress nicely today?"
"Yes?"
"...I brought my camera."
She looked around skeptically, "Are you sure my room is the right setting for a photoshoot?"
"It is if the pictures are for our eyes only."
"Oh..." she breathed out, finally catching onto what I'm suggesting. "Well, I don't know..."
"Come on, I'll let you take a few of me too." I reach over the bed to grab my camera out of my bag. I've literally spent the whole day with her. From school to anywhere she wanted to go, I deserve two cars.
"I don't understand the reason for it, Ethan," Alison shrugs. "You have already seen me naked."
"Yes, however, what if you're not around and I miss you?"
"...you can just call me?"
"Fine, Alison," I huff. "I was just trying to keep things interesting." I slide her off of me and start to get up from her bed.
"No- wait!" She stops me.
I turn to her with an annoyed expression, and she quickly moves to stand in front of me. I look away from her and pretend to still be upset, that is until I see her unbuttoning her top.
"Are you sure?" I smirk.
"...take a photo." The sleeves of her blouse fall to around her wrists as her arms wrap around her waist.
No bra, huh?
"You look perfect," I say lowly. "So perfect..." I bring the camera up to my face and snap the picture, smiling when the Polaroid slides out at the front. I shook the picture before snapping another of her in a new pose. "Wanna take some more off?"
"Like my skirt? Okay..." She says hesitantly before sliding her fingers under the hem of her skirt and slipping it down her legs onto the floor. "Better?"
I nod approvingly and take another shot. After a while, she seemed to get more comfortable. I don't know if it was the fact that I was showering her in compliments or if it was because I started taking my clothes off as well, clearly turned on by the sight in front of me.
I convinced her to lose the lacy underwear she wore for me. She let me pull them right off of her body, and after a few sweet kisses, I captured a few pictures of what was underneath all of the clothes.
"Are you having fun, babe?" I smiled at her and began kissing up her leg.

"Yes..." She nodded as her hands combed through my hair.
"Look how wet you are, you really love this, don't you?" I purred as my hands worked up her thighs. She moaned in response as I touched her, letting my thumb rub over her clit while my fingers moved inside her until she was dripping.
"Mm," she whined when I stopped.
"If you want it so bad then you do it," I smirk. She gives me a sly look and doesn't break eye contact as her hand trails down her body until it takes the place of where mine was.
I expected her to try and stop me when I lifted the camera again, but she just spread her legs further.
Alison continued to moan, toying with me by saying my name.
My pants felt tighter as I began to harden. Alison noticed, "your turn to strip." I had already removed my shirt, but I could tell she wanted my pants off as well.
I chuckle at her suggestion but oblige anyway. She grabbed the camera from where I put it down, and I let her take a picture of me because a shot of me half-dressed won't do any damage.
But when she got me completely naked, I got her in bed.
"Um— miss, are you sure this is where you want me to take you?" My usually silent driver decides to speak.
"Yeah...it is."
The fact that this place is horrid enough to make my mute driver find his voice, is kind of terrifying.
It looks a bit worse than it did at the diner. It's not just people loitering around the corners now, there are people on the fire escapes, and on the stairs of the buildings too.
"It's quite dangerous out here. Especially at night, I don't think your father would like-"
I interrupt him, "your name is John, correct?"
"Yes, ma'am?" He looked up at me in the mirror with a confused expression.
"Well, John, I'm sure my father would prefer for you to do as directed. Your Christmas bonus will thank you for it."
"Suit yourself..." John said under his breath as he pulled in front of the building Leo supposedly lives in.
I waited nervously in the backseat for him to open the door for me. He did it against his better judgment, but I stepped out with a false sense of pride when I saw Leo and a few other guys sitting on the stairs.
They snickered and made sly comments about me having a chauffeur and coming up with reasons for why I'm here.
"Be back here at 10 P.M. sharp," I spoke quietly to John. "Please..." I beg.
He nods in agreement before getting back in the car. I've never seen a limo drive off so fast.
"Heather?" Leo calls out before taking another puff of his cigarette. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm supposed to tutor you, remember?"
"What?" He laughed in disbelief, sending his friends into a fit of hysterical laughter.
"She came for you, Leo. I think she wants to get your pole wet."
"That's why she came over?" The one called Danny laughed and raised his eyebrows.
"To cum over and over?" They continued, leaving me feeling humiliated in front of them.
"Alright, that's enough." Leo shook his head and tried to hide his smile. At this point, I want to go home. "You can come up, Heather." He motions for me to follow him.
I scowl at all of the boys as I ascend the first set of steps. Leo doesn't even try to wait for me as he goes up the second set of stairs to his apartment. However, he left the door partly open for me to just let myself in.
"Leo?" I say once I see his living room is empty. You know, excluding the furniture and family photos. It's funny that the weirdest thing about where he lives, isn't the fact that his whole apartment is the size of a master bedroom at the Helmsley, but the fact that it looks like a family actually lives here.
"In my room..." I follow the sound of his voice. He stood in the doorway as I walked in. It seemed as though he had just done a thirty second clean up, but it's not like there was much space to make a huge mess with. "You can make yourself comfortable on the bed or something." He motioned toward the navy blue bedding.
"Just so you know, everything those guys were suggesting, it's not happening," I say sternly.
He scoffed while laughing, "No shit, Sherlock. Now did you bring your books or not?"
I sighed as I nodded and took out my supplies. I sat at the end of his bed while he sat against his headboard.
"So, do you know what it is exactly that you don't understand?" I try to narrow down the chapters we need to go over.
"Yeah, all of it."
"Are you kidding me?" I glare at him, "what have you been doing all year?"
"Look, I didn't ask you to come here," he glares back at me. "It's Friday night for fuck's sake, and I'm stuck with you. Don't you have friends or something?"
"Obviously I have friends, but if you're too stupid to stop failing on your own, I'll take the fall for it."
Leo chuckles in disbelief, "sure, come here and call me stupid in my own house." He shakes his head, "you're not here because you have to be, Heather. You chose tonight. This is for you, I don't know why, and I honestly don't care, but this is for you."
I roll my eyes at him and turn away, focusing on the textbook in my hands. He's right and he knows he is, but I don't have to give him the satisfaction. I lied initially about having to tutor Leo today, however, Jace got my parents involved so I had to go through with it.
"Anyway, we can start on displacement. That's what we did at the beginning of the semester so it'll be on the exam."
"Tell me something, Heather," Leo changes the subject, "when you and your other boyfriend decided to mess with me that day in class, did you expect to be spending your future Friday nights in my bedroom?"
"Oh, don't act like you're so innocent," I huff. "This started when you decided to mess with Audrey."
"Audrey...not you."
"She's my best friend," I say defensively.
"She's a bitch," he chuckled.
"And you're an asshole."
"I can be," he admits, "but only to the people who deserve it, and she deserved it."
"Whatever helps you sleep at night, asshole."
"So she can fuck with us, and we just have to take it?" His eyes burn holes through me.
"I'm not saying that— it's just...the Autumn ball is for the whole school, not just Audrey, so you were being an asshole to everyone, including me," my tone gets softer.
"We ripped down posters, Heather. We didn't set the dance on fire."
I sigh in frustration, "Let's just drop it, okay?"
"Drop it for now? Or forever? Because if you're going to send some more of your yesmen after me, I'd like to know ahead of time."
"Ididn't mean for that to happen," I say lowly.
"Oh, you didn't mean for your buddy to get suspended?"
"I didn't mean for him to hit you." I lock eyes with him so he knows I'm sincere, "I'm sorry."
He nods and looks down,"yeah, whatever, it's fine."
"Are we?" I asked with a hint of hope. I liked it better when I didn't have a problem with anyone.
Plus, if we're going to waste hours deciphering the very meaning of physics then I'd rather not be arguing back and forth with him throughout it.
The room falls silent as he gazes at me in careful contemplation. "There's no need to pay for a five hundred dollar confessional if that's what you're asking. We're okay too, I guess."
"Friends?"
Leo smiles at me...
"Don't push it, butterfly."

8 146Humans Are Evil (completed)
A world of magic, where empires rise and fall, and where civilization is never safe from the perpetual menace of the monsters that roam the land. In this volatile landscape Fera is reborn and must adapt to this new and ever-changing world. She will grasp at whatever opportunities she finds to escape her unfortunate birth as an orphan. Either excelling, or wallowing in self-pity, Fera will question if this world of magic was as fantastical as she initially thought. Note: The story is technically a litRPG, but much less like a game and more akin to real life, for example obtaining a class does not give free skills to the individual, it’s the other way around! Skills are what unlock your class, so an individual who learns magic skills will unlock mage classes, classes then provide passive buffs and stats, in my opinion this makes everything feel more earned so that the power levels in the world are more natural, rather than every single random person being a powerhouse.
