《Jotaro Kujo (Part 6) - Remember Us》Empathetic
Advertisement
The next morning, I woke up to an empty bed. I could tell why when I looked at the time. It was nearing afternoon. There was no way Jotaro would sleep past noon despite him always sleeping. I got up from the bed and went to the kitchen to find something to eat.
When I got there, I found Jolyne in the living room watching television. She greeted, "G' morning."
"Good morning," I said. "How was your sleep?"
She said, "Decent."
I asked, "Have you seen Jotaro?"
"He went out to the beach."
I asked, "You didn't want to go out with him?"
She said, "I rather not. I'm not too fond of big bodies of water."
Then I understood. The incident with Pucci included a big body of water. Annasui was the one to guide them there, so he could sense Pucci better. She nearly died there.
And I took her to the beach when she first stayed with us. That's why she never went into the water when we went there. I gasped, "Oh, I'm so sorry about that."
"About what?" She said confused.
"I took you to the beach when you first came here."
She sighed, "It's no big deal. Don't cry because of that. I didn't die."
"But you were scared." Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud. "Um..."
"Really," she said. "You didn't know." She turned back to the television and continue watching it. "It's fine," she said with her back to me.
I went ahead to get a bowl of cereal. I came back to the room and sat on the couch adjacent from Jolyne. I quietly ate while watching what was on television.
Eventually, Jotaro came in through the front door. He walked over to me and bent down in front of me. He had something in his hand. "Good morning."
I kissed him on the side of his head trying to avoid his hat. "Good morning. Ugh, salty."
"Oh," he said.
"What's in your hand?"
He put it up to my face, so I could see it. In his hand was a shimmering looking shell to some sea creature. A slight smile grew on his face. Then he went on a spiel of the creature and what type it is.
"That's cool," I said. "Can I touch it?"
He pushed it closer to me as if to answer yes. He was excited, and I was all for it.
I touched the smooth surface. "Wow. That's really cool."
Jotaro sniffed. Then he looked at himself that was soaked and filled with sand. He said, "I'm going to take a shower."
"Alright."
When he was gone, Jolyne said, "I've never seen him get so excited like that before."
I said, "It's probably because he wants to be the 'cool dad'." I laughed at the air quotes. I didn't want to go serious and bring up how closed off he was in general. That was more out of his control that he barely let down his guard.
She laughed as well. "It's weird seeing him like that." Then she said in a more serious tone, "I didn't have him in my life growing up, so it was only so many sides I've got to see."
I gulped feeling guilt from her statement. I probably spent more time with him than she did. His own daughter. She didn't get a chance to know more about him. Now he doesn't have many memories about himself and his past...

It's like she missed out.
"Is that your guilt face?" Jolyne said breaking into my thoughts. "Gee, you really do take a lot to heart. Dad was right!"
"Wait, he told you what?" I was surprised. They talked about me when I wasn't there?!
Jolyne explained, "Dad said you cared and worried about me a lot. Then he called you very empathetic. Then he went all gushy on me about how he loved you so much. And that was not something a daughter needs to hear!" She stuck her tongue out on disgust.
There was a lot to take in about what she said. "Um... sure... okay." I didn't even know what to do with that information. When did they even talk about this? If she wanted to redirect the mood, she did an astounding job. I got up from my spot with my empty bowl of cereal. I went to the kitchen and placed my bowl in the sink.
I decided to go up to the bedroom. I said to Jolyne, "I'll be upstairs if you need anything."
"Okay," she said.
When I came to the bedroom, I found Jotaro amidst walking out the bathroom. He was in his towel with his hair dripping.
He mumbled, "Perfect timing." He went the bed where his clothes were. He threw on his shirt and underwear. He neglected drying his hair.
I sighed, "Jotaro." I reached grabbed his towel. "Bring your head here."
Jotaro bent down a little.
I put the towel on top of his head and began drying his hair. I ruffled up his hair with it. I pulled the towel away from his face.
He was looking at me as if to ask, 'Really?'
I kissed him on the nose. Then I dropped the towel over his face.
"Yare yare daze," he sighed. "How's Jolyne doing?"
I answered, "She's just occupying herself with the television." Then the conversation earlier came to mind. "Did you know she didn't like the beach?"
"I figured," he said. "She wouldn't go near the water the whole time she was with us."
"Oh," I said.
"Just let her go where she is comfortable," he advised. "She'll be fine."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah," he said. "You told me yourself. As long as she has some type of support, she will be okay." He bent down and grabbed his pants.
"Hold on," I said as I walked to the door. I peeked out the door and scanned my eyes down the hallway. I could hear the television going downstairs. I closed the door and locked it.
When I turned to face him, I scoffed, "I said don't put your pants on!"
Jotaro was fully clothed with his shirt and pants. "Oh, you said 'hold on' not 'don't put on your pants'."
I sighed, "Fine... are you plan on doing anything?"
He said, "No."
"Want me to make you mine?"
"Yare yare daze."
I sighed, "Is that a yes or no?"
His stand appeared behind with a flushed face while Jotaro's deadpan expression was teettering on that. I wondered if he was aware of Star at this point. Star disappeared without him acknowledging him.
Jotaro said, "Yes." He averted his eyes to the bed. He turned his back to me to reach under his pillow.
"Prepared again?" I giggled. I wrapped my arms around him from behind with my body pressed against his. "That's so adorable. I like that about you." I pulled down the neck of his shirt down, (thankfully he wasn't wearing one of his turtlenecks) and bit his shoulder.

A restrained noise came from Jotaro.
I asked, "Are you okay?"
He breathed with slight annoyance, "Don't stop."
I kissed his shoulder and said, "Okay. Got it. What about your collar?"
Jotaro paused to think. He turned around making me lose my grip on him. He passed it to me.
I put the collar around his neck.
He asked, "Tighter?"
"No," I said. "Don't want you to asphyxiate because of that thing." I looped my finger on it and gently pulled him down to my lips. I kissed him. I left his lips as I pulled his shirt off, even though he just dressed a minute ago.
He wrapped his arms around my waist. He continued the kiss.
When I broke the kiss, I giggled. I have some words of affirmation in my throat, but I didn't let them out. I thumbed the collar, then moved my hand up to his scarred cheek.
Jotaro stared back into my eyes as if he was waiting for me to say something.
"I love you. You know that, right?"
He nodded.
My arms wrapped around him loosely. I began littering kisses from his face down to his neck, then his chest. With every kiss I left words of affirmation.
He called my name.
I stopped and looked up at him.
"Can we move to the bed?" His face was flushed and his breaths were getting ragged. There was a smile dancing on his lips.
"Oh yeah," I said. "Good idea."
He grabbed my hand and basically pulled me into bed. My clothes excluded.
Soon I was over him taking him in and his beauty. I initiated the kiss, but he continued the kiss.
As the kiss went on, he grabbed one of my hands and put it to his neck. He was asking me to choke him again.
I said, "I rather not, right now."
He sighed passive aggressively. "Fine."
I kept my hands busy with him in other places instead. As I was still leaning over him, litter him with more kisses and bites.
Even though, he didn't get what he wanted at first, he was at least enjoying this quite a bit. (Haha, get it? Bit?... anyways...) My mouth began lingering at his chest area. Whether I noticed or not was beyond me.
Jotaro said breathily, "You know, milk is not going to come out no matter what you do." Despite his tone of amusement, his face was still flushed and he was like putty in my hands.
I pouted, "Says who?" Without taking my eyes from him, I bit him.
With a gasp he tensed up and let out a trembling breath. His toes curled.
Well... I didn't get milk... I whispered, "Wow, the was hot." I put my hand to his cheek.
He lean his face into my hand.
I asked, "Wanna do more?"
He nodded. He reached under his pillow again. This time, he pulled out the shibari rope.
I laughed, "Just how prepared were you? Weren't I the one who asked?"
He replied, "Can't be too prepared." He pushed the rope on to me.
"Okay okay. I got it," I said unable to stop laughing. "Sit up, so I can get this on you." As I tied him, I asked, "Want to try this one with your legs tied as well?"
He asked, "Will I have to be on my knees?"
I answered, "Yeah, or you can lie down as well in one way I think I could do."
He said, "Okay. Let's try it."
After a vigorous session of tying and untying the rope and googling, he was tied up with his arms behind his back. The rope on his legs was a bit loose as he wouldn't dare let me spread open his legs wide.
Either way, Jotaro was exuding a strong aura of shyness.
I asked, "Do you want to take it off?"
He answered, "No..." He stopped as if he wanted to say more.
"What?" I encouraged him to continue. I waited but he averted his eyes. "It's okay if you don't want to. Want to be tied a different way?"
"That's not it," he said hesitantly. "Can you... put the blindfold on me." His voice sounded small in the quiet room.
"Oh," I said. "Sure! Is it under your pillow?"
"Yeah."
I got the blindfold and put it over his eyes. "Geez, you get shy over the weirdest stuff. Keep being you because that's so endearing."
"Oh."
I put my hand to his cheek once more. It seemed to cause a stronger reaction. I asked, "Why do you like the blindfold so much? I didn't think you would like having your eyes covered."
He said, "Only with you."
"Only with me?"
He elaborated, "I want only you on me. I don't want anything in the way."
"Hm, I never thought of it that way."
"When you touch me, all I get is you." He pressed his face into my palm.
I moved my other hand back to his chest as before. "I'm glad," I whispered into his ear.
"And when you talk..." He trembled.
"Oh? You like that?" I was surprised. I mean, I knew he liked when I complimented him and said that I loved him and that he was mine, but I didn't think it was the sound of my voice. "That actually makes me happy."
He said, "Well, I do love you."
"Right," I said surprised of his assertiveness. "I love you too." My face grew warm as I began blushing. "You got me blushing!" I laughed.
Jotaro leaned forward and pressed his lips near my mouth. He managed to get the edge of my lips. He said without pulling back, "I missed."
I said, "I guess so. You're blindfolded." I combed my hand through his freshly washed hair. I pulled his hair gently. After that, I guided his lips to mine. With my hand still behind his head and my hand on his chest, I pushed him on to his back.
Jotaro said shocked from the fall, "You could've warned me."
"Sorry," I said as I sat on his waist. I put my hands to his throat and asked, "Do you still want me to choke you?"
"Yes," he answered.
I leaned forward and commanded, "Open your mouth."
He did what I told him to.
I stuck my tongue in his mouth. As I started the kiss, he continued it. Then I pressed my thumbs on the sides of his throat softly. I let up on the pressure by letting one hand go. I touched him where he liked best. I pulled away from the long and drawn out kiss to place more kisses on him.
"I love you." Kiss on the cheek.
"You're mine." A kiss on the neck.
"You're so beautiful." A bite on collar bone.
"I love you." More kisses.
Jotaro could only squirm underneath me. It was like he was sure what to do, but to just immerse himself in the feeling.
I kept going until he couldn't exactly hold it in anymore. I let go of his throat. He yanked at the ropes and made a noise I had only heard a few times from him. As he caught his breath, he trembled and moaned.
I removed the blindfold to see how he was doing. I caressed his cheek while he was coming down. "How are you doing?"
Jotaro's eyes weren't focused on anything. His body would tremble every few seconds. He mumbled my name as he tugged from the ropes.
I undid the ropes from his arms, and he immediately wrapped his arms around me and pulled me flat against him. He made sure there was no space in between us as he tried and unsuccessfully wrap his tied legs around mine.
Then there was a knock at the door. Jolyne called me.
Jotaro seemed to be in his own word as he didn't notice me flinch. I gasped noticing that Jotaro or I haven't been particularly quiet the past few minutes. I covered Jotaro's mouth as his breathing was very VERY audible.
I cleared my throat and said, "Yes?"
Jolyne said through the door, "Can I borrow the car? I need to run to the store."
"Sure!" I said with guilt creeping up on me. At that moment, I was glad she couldn't see my expression. "The keys are on the counter and get some cash from my wallet if you want to treat yourself."
"Oh?" She said surprised. "Thanks but why?"
I muttered, "Reparations."
"Hunh?"
"Preparation!" I said. "For your stay with us. You know... you did come here last minute."
"Oh," Jolyne said understanding... or misunderstanding hopefully. "Thanks! See ya!" Her steps faded as she left the door.
I didn't let out a breath until she left the front door.
I felt something warm from my hand. I quickly pulled my hand away as I noticed my hand was still covering Jotaro's mouth.
He licked my hand.
"Sorry."
He grabbed my hand and kissed it. He gave me a content smile and asked, "Can you untie my legs? I don't know how."
"Oh right!" I reached and undid a few ropes and they slipped off.
Jotaro tightened his arms and legs around me. He sighed, then his brow furrowed as he asked, "Did something just happen? You seem concerned."
My nervousness about the interaction with Jolyne must've been apparent. If he wasn't aware, I wasn't going to bring it up. "No, it's fine. Are you breathing okay?"
"Yeah," he said. "I'm breathing fine."
"Let's go take a shower while Jolyne's gone."
"She left?"
I sighed... "Yes... let's go."

What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! For writing a story during the month of November, you have unlocked the Royal Road Writathon Participant path!

Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
