We decided to go on a little road trip to New York, and bring Jolyne with us. I called the household ahead of time to inform them that we would be arriving a day from then. I also told them Jotaro's situation. Florida to New York will take almost 24 hours, so it will be exhausting. Surprisingly, Jotaro and Jolyne decided to help out with the driving.

What was even more surprising was that Jotaro was the one to drive most of the way.

I decided to drive the home stretch to our destination, since I knew where to go and Jolyne was fast asleep in the back seat. I knew where to go because of the file in the Speedwagon Foundation. I learned some new information as well. It would be perfect for Jotaro.

We arrived at a very big house.

"Wow," Jolyne gawked. "What is up with ya'll and big houses? The last I visited Great Granpa and Gramma, they were living somewhere else.:

I said gawking as well, "We all know that that's not a normal house."

The three of us went to the front door of the massive home before us. I took the initiative to knock.

I heard a pitter-patter of quick footsteps. As they reached the door, the door slammed open.

But I saw no one.

There was a gasp, "Jolyne?"

I was taken aback at the voice in front of me. I couldn't see the source of the voice. I could only assume it was...

"Shizuka?" Jolyne said, surprised. She came forward and opened her arms.

Suddenly, a little 12 year old girl appeared out of no where. She had sunglasses on her head. She jumped into Jolyne's arms. "Wow, it's been so long!"

Jolyne said, "You're just as tall as I am."

Then she saw Jotaro. She squinted at him as if trying to remember who he was, then she looked at me confused. She has never seen me before, but it was probably a long time since she saw Jotaro. Last time I saw her, she was a baby.

"Who's there-?" A familiar said. "Jojo!" Came forward was the thing that was new in this household. "Is that really you?"

"Mom," Jotaro gasped.

Tears sprung from Holly's eyes as she came forward and embraced him in a tight hug. The two hugged tightly and exchanged words with each other in Japanese.

"I missed you so much," Jotaro muffled in her shoulder. "How... how long has it been? You're my mother... right?"

Holly cried, "Yes, you are. My one and only son. Where have you been all this time?"

"I don't know."

"Well you're here."

"I know."

She gave him a kiss on his temple. "I'm so glad that you are here."

Soon we were all inside. Jotaro had his composure back. He stayed close beside me on the couch. Jolyne and Shizuka went somewhere else. Holly sat on the other side of her son.

Holly was getting up there in age. Her blind hair was peppered in gray hair. She had a few wrinkles. She seemed so happy to see her son after so long. She said to me, "Thank you for bringing him here."

"No problem at all," I replied. "I'm so happy that he has a supportive family. I had to get him here." I glanced up him.

He quickly looked away from me. He gulped.

Was something... wrong?

Instead of pestering him, I slid a supporting hand over his.

Holly said, "I'm glad he has someone like you." She gave me a knowing smile.

I felt put on spot. "No no... I would do whatever I can to help him."

"Good enough," she said.

"Who's here?" A voice said coming from behind us.

"It's your grandson," Jolyne said.

I turned seeing Joseph, Jolyne and Shizuka walking over to us. Shizuka was holding his hand and was basically pulling him forward.

When Joseph caught sight of Jotaro, his eyes widened. "J-Jotaro?"

Jotaro said, "Oh um... yes?"

Joseph with Shizuka's help quickly went up to us. He was surprised to see him there. "I thought you were..." His voice trailed off. "I'm glad you are back."

Jotaro pulled his hand from mine to pulled his hat down over his eyes. "I..." His own voice trailed off. It was subtle, but he swallowed. He was nervous about something. "Thank you."

"Be careful, Papa," Holly said gently. "Jotaro doesn't have a lot of his memories, so don't get him overwhelmed."

"Sorry about that," Joseph apologized. He sat across from us. Then he pointed to me, "Who's this?"

Holly answered, "This is the one who talked to me on the phone. Jotaro's significant other."

The way she addressed me made me a bit embarrassed. 'Significant other?' I guess that is what I am to him.

"Oh, nice to meet you." He squinted at me. "You look familiar."

I explained, "It's probably from Morioh. I helped you guess a long time ago. I work with the Speedwagon Foundation."

"Oh."

Later, I met SuzyQ. We spent the evening talking and eating, then they showed us to the spare bedrooms we would be staying for the week. Jolyne got her own while Jotaro and I shared one.

Jotaro and I already wash up when he was sitting on the bed. I was folding up our clothes. I wondered what was worrying him since we got here.

I sat beside him. "What's on your mind, hun?"

He peeked at me. He pulled his hat down to cover his eyes. "It's that obvious, hunh?"

I tapped my hand on his knee and said, "It's clear as day to me."

"Sorry."

"Why are you apologizing? Being worried is normal."

"Mm." His jaw tensed.

I asked, "Do you know why you are worried?"

"I shouldn't be here."

"Aw, but everyone is happy to have you here," I reasoned as I wrapped my arms around his waist. "They are happy and so am I."

"That's not it."

"What is it then?"

He sighed as he gathered his words, "I... they are not safe because of me."

"Jotaro," I said. "You not remember the incident, but you guys are safe now. You already saved everyone. Remember what I said about Pucci and all?"

"I know," he said. "I just have this feeling."

"Come on," I said holding him close to me. "Let's lay down and you can tell me all your worries while you fall alseep. I'm not a therapist, but at least get all of that off of your chest." There were so many deep rooted emotions and problems that even I couldn't solve, but I want to help the best I could since he was comfortable with me.

"Okay."

And so, I held him close. My arms stayed around him. I rubbed in between his shoulder blades. I waited for him to say what he needed to.

"I wanted to keep them safe, and I always put people in danger."

"Mmhm?" I mumbled for him to continue.

"If I stay away, they can't die. That's why... that's why... I did something." He couldn't remember what he did, but it could be about why he left his family. "I can't have them in my life because I bring danger." His voice cracked at the last word. He trembled.

"You don't bring danger," I soothed. "You have everyone with you now. We are in no danger. Even if that was the case, there is no way we want you to go away. We are your family."

His teembling hands balled up into fists. He didn't say anything for the rest of the night. He fell asleep.

The next morning, I woke up to an empty bed. I got up and left my room. I heard talking, so I followed the sounds to one of the living rooms. This place was way too big for me.

There, I found Shizuka, Holly and Jotaro. Holly and Jotaro was drinking from mugs while Shizuka was eating a bowl of cereal. Holly was contently talking to Jotaro.

He was spending time with his mother, and it looked like he was enjoying himself.

I was looking forward to our week here.
