《Jotaro Kujo (Part 6) - Remember Us》Later That Night...

I came into the bedroom seeing Jotaro sitting slouched down. I commented, "You know if you sit like that for a long time, you're gonna mess up your posture."
It snapped Jotaro out of his thoughts, "Hm?" He fiddled with his hat in his lap.
"Nothing," I said. "Something on your mind?" I knew that he was probably thinking about today, but I wanted to be sure.
"Not really," he said. "I noticed that there is barely any pictures when I got older. I can only assume I pushed them away or got them killed somehow." He looked to the side hesitantly, then he asked, "Why do you stay with me after all this? I don't even remember how I met you."
I sighed and sat on the bed beside him. I could tell that those thoughts has been beating him up on the inside. "Then how about I tell you how we met?"
He contemplated an answer before saying, "Okay."
I began, "So it was when you were in a town named Morioh. It was after you found out about the arrow there. I was one of the people who had to get supplies to you. But I decided to stay just a bit longer."
"I knew that you just got over a divorce a couple of years ago. Now you had your grandfather and a baby on your hands. I felt like you needed some sort of support and, man, was I glad I did know. I found you ordering way too much alcohol. Drinking is fine and all, but doing it with a killer on a lose was not it. I volunteered to help you carry the alcohol back to the hotel regardless. I just decided to stay to check up on Joseph, your grandfather, and Shizuka, the baby."
"Then there you were taking your first sip on the couch. After I was done with the check, I sat on the other end of the couch. I said that I will stay if you continue drinking. You were against it, but I reasoned that I dont want to leave the two without someone properly watching them."

"Then you drank and drank. Then you fell asleep. I took you to your bed and left when the two were asleep. And man, did that scare you. You called to make sure I made it back to where I was currently stationed. Then you yelled at me to not come back."
"Instead I had a proposition: if you feel like drinking, call me to tell you what's bothering you. Even if it was something as mundane as you stubbing your toe. I didn't want you be easily opened to be attacked. It started with me calling you in the evening. You simply started with 'I have nothing to say'." I paused to see his reaction to me trying and failing to imitate his voice.
He was still intently listening. Not in the least amused. At least he was interested.
Then I continued, "Then one evening I called, you started telling me about the development of the serial killer involved. It wasn't much, but it was something. Then the day you caught the serial killer, something was different. You began telling me about when you went to Egypt. You told me how you guys almost died. The guys in Morioh could've died if you took care of everything from before with the arrows. You said they almost died because of your negligence. Then I told you, but they are alive. Before then, I've never heard a grown man cry on the phone. It was so quiet, but subtle."
"Then you hung up on me."
Jotaro finally asked, "When did we see each other again?"
I answered, "A month later when you were working with Polnareff to investigate more about the arrows. You said it was dangerous business helping you out, but I said it comes with the job. But I was really intrigued with you. During two years of working with each other and spending more time, we somehow got into a romantic relationship. I loved you ever since."
I let his thoughts process what I told him. Then he said, "How could you stay with me after all of this time?" This thought just wouldn't stop nagging him. "It seems like you are always watching over me or taking care of me."

I answered, "What other reason would I do all this except that I love you?"
He exhaled something. It was like something was forced out that he wanted to keep in. "Can... can you say that again?" He averted his eyes from mine.
I did what I normally would do. I placed my hand on his cheek, and gently turned him to face me. I said, "Jotaro, I love you. I love you for you."
His breathing began to tremble.
I continued, "You are perfect the way you are. I love everything thing about you."
He blinked as a few tears began to well up in his eyes.
"I'm not leaving you for anything." I shifted so I could wrap my arms around his head into a hug. I pressed his head to my chest. "I promise."
Then he muffled into my shirt, "But if no one else wanted me, then how could you want me?"
My heart hurt listening to that, but it was best for him to get his doubts and fears out. How else would I know what he was thinking?
"Everyone else do want you in their lives," I reasoned calmly. "Your daughter, Polnareff, Giorno even Mista as an acquaintance. You have other family as well. They love you as well."
"Make me yours." He peeked at me.
I sighed, "Do you even remember what that means, or are you speaking off of muscle memory?"
"Mm."
Mm? What did that even mean? I managed to say, "Well, I rather not do anything tonight. I feel like I would be taking advantage of you in your vulnerable state."
He looked to the side with a disappointed look.
I sighed, "Okay. How about this..." I got up letting him go. "Hold on." I went to the closet in the hallway that I locked. I grabbed something and brought it with me into the room whilst hiding it behind my back.
Jotaro looks at me waiting for me to show what it is. He was sitting straight up on the bed. His head reached my chest.
I revealed it from behind my back.
Something piqued in him as he stared at the black collar with my name on it in my hand. He touched his own neck and said, "Please." A soft pink blush grew on his face.
"Okay." I clasped the collar around his neck. "Here you go."
Jotaro thumbed the collar. "I'm yours... right?"
"Yeah." I leaned down and kissed him on the forehead. "But remember, you have friends and family. Don't forget that."
He nodded. He grabbed my waist and rolled onto his back, pulling me on top of him. He hugged me tightly. Then he initiated the first kiss. He connected his lips with mine. He hesitated to add his tongue into the kiss. "I'm yours." He seemed so content.
"Yes," I placed both hands on each side of his face. I placed a kiss on his cheek. "You're my sweetheart." I gave him another kiss on his other cheek. "I love you so much." A kiss on his lips.
Seemed like with each kiss, his expression went to less stoic to loved. His breathing got more excited and a smile grew on his face.
I kissed his neck. "I love the way you are." A bite on the nape of his neck, pushing the collar out of the way. "I love you so much."
A contented exhale left his lips. He seemed to want to say something, but nothing came out. Just a smile that haven't shown in so long. His arms around me tighten as he said, "Thank you. I love you."
"I love you, too." I kissed him on the lips. Then something came to mind. "How about we go visit some family?" Maybe he needed to go out more, and it's more healthy. A little traveling couldn't hurt.
He answered still high off the affection. "Okay."
