《hunter x hunter》Trip To Las Vegas

(I was stuck at the DMV for three hours today with nothing to do, so I dreamed up this scenario to amuse myself while I waited.)
Las Vegas, Sin City, let's go for a weekend. What could go wrong, right?
-Whine and protest when they are told that you have to be 21 to enter the casinos
-You point out to them that there are lots of other things to do, like the swimming pools, arcades, roller coaster/rides, etc.
-They stick out their tongues and make raspberries. They don't want to do that. They want to do the REAL STUFF
-Killua has a brilliant idea to try and "dress sort of old" and see if they can slip past security
-They elaborately disguise themselves, even asking to borrow your eyeliner pencil so they can draw (not very realistic-looking) facial hair
-They try to sit down at a slot machine
-Security is on them in two seconds
-"Nice try, kids"
-Killua tries to comfort Gon by telling him they can watch "an exciting movie" back in their hotel room
-Kurapika just barely makes legal age, but it doesn't matter, as a fellow security professional he knows how to talk his way in anywhere so he doesn't even sweat this
-He's not a big gambler and not particularly into Vegas excess
-He decides to check out the 5-star restaurant scene
-He also checks out the Britney Spears residency, because, why not?
-Also pushing it in terms of legality
-Gets annoyed because he's never carded
-Discovers that many of the resorts on the Strip have "European-style" swimming pools (i.e. topless optional)
-That'll keep him busy the entire time
-Is banned from every casino since, duh, he is a genius at counting cards
-So he spends a lot of time at the topless swimming pools himself

-Also knows where the seediest and most porno strip clubs are like a local
-Is on a first-name basis with all the strippers and sex workers in town
-For kicks, he crashes a few Cirque de Soleil shows, appearing magically on stage and throwing off the entire production, and gets thrown out
-Has never gambled before
-Once he gets the gist of table games, is grimly serious
-Does not smile while he plays. Maintains a steely expression
-Wins. A lot
-Tries to call Hisoka for advice once but is smacked down immediately by security so he returns to his own recognizance
-Every cocktail waitress is in love with him and they all practically swoon in his presence
-Nobody can tempt him away from the tables
-Killua is like, "Geez bro. I know everyone has to have a vice, but you're taking this kind of far"
-Immediately makes his way to the High Stakes room at the most expensive resort
-Calmly cases the place and leaves that night about a million or two richer
-He did not do this legally (duh)
-The resort still comps him the nicest, biggest suite they have
-The cocktail waitresses are bananas about him, too. Practically taking off their panties right there in the casino
-Slinks around every casino darting glances here and there
-Nobody even notices him even though he's dressed like an emo gangsta because Vegas is totally full of freaks and he's hardly even on the freak register by their standards
-A drunk girl says, "Hey, sexy, I dig your mask, want to go to the Shania Twain show with me tonight? I got tix"
-Feitan considers it and accepts
-While watching Shania, he stealthily steals the girl's wallet and all her jewelry
-Like Illumi, Shal has never gambled before
-However, unlike Illu, he doesn't take it all that seriously, he thinks it's a blast
-Prefers craps because everyone screams and yells as they throw the dice
-Every red cent he wins, he yells "Next round on me!" and therefore is broke as a joke by the time he leaves town

Fallen
He hadn't even gained a consciousness yet that he was bound to lose everything if he ever came to life. He hadn't offended anyone, but they offended him. He hadn't cursed anyone, they cursed him. He hadn't killed anyone, they killed everyone related to him. Thus, he silently vowed. "They plan to offend me for their own interest? I shall give them plenty of reason to do so. Do they want to curse me? Please do so, since I'm more than willing to be your living bane. Kill me? Sadly, you won't be the last having this type of wishful thinking."- The Devil -------------------- I think that I can manage 1 chapter per week now, maybe 2 but certainly not three. PS: As I think that there should be small mistakes here left and right, I'd gladly welcome a proofreader.

Dungeon Crawler Katia
The aliens killed everyone on Earth...almost. Every structure, from the Taj Mahal to the lowliest lobster trap, vanished into the earth, killing everyone inside. The survivors were given a choice: Endure on the surface without food or shelter or tools, or descend into a world-spanning nightmare dungeon that is also a reality TV show. Katia, an art professor from Iceland who has given up her humanity to transform into a shapeshifting doppelganger, meets up with Carl and his cat, Donut. Together, the three fight to survive in a dungeon filled with Clarketech goblin murderdozers and pyramid-scheme fairy moonshine-makers. The above is, of course, describing Dungeon Crawler Carl. With DoctorHepa's (the author) permission I'm posting some fanfic to expand on Katia, one of the secondary characters who started off not getting as much exploration as I would have preferred. I started off writing chapters that matched up to canon except from her POV instead of Carl's; that lasted a couple of chapters before going off the rails and spinning off into a completely new story, which suggests I should really go back and renumber all the chapters as soon as I find some tuits.

The Wandering Scholar
Zhou Mingzie, A young Chinese American is suddenly brought into a mythical land, similar to China in many ways, but is most definitely not. This new world appears to contain cultivation elements like the Wuxia and Xanxia stories he read throughout highschool, but he can also gain Levels and Skills, I mean Paths and Techniques. Sure he is Chinese, but he grew up in America, so he doesn't want to ascend to the heavens and fight spirit beasts, does he? But Mom wants him to embrace his heritage more...jk...unless? [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Inspired heavily by The Wandering Inn and Beware of the Chicken, as well as cultivation novels in general, this story hopes to take a Westernish approach to the standard Cultivation approach, being more subtle and changing how it approaches the standard tropes of the genre, without abandoning them entirely.
