So, here's the situation. You offer to make dinner one Friday night for your boyfriend because he's such a sweetheart and deserves to be rewarded. Unfortunately you absolutely ruin whatever it is you attempt to cook. Here's how he responds...

-You remember how he caught some fish and made a really nice meal out of that for you one time, so you decide to try the same sort of thing

-You get everything you need and start trying to remember how he cooked the fish

-You can't remember for the life of you what he did

-You try to fry it and end up setting off the smoke alarm

-Oh shit! Gon is already here..."Hi, I'm early!" he calls out. "You okay? It smells like a fire in here"

-Flustered, you grab the fish and stuff it into a ball of rice so it sort of looks like sushi

-Gon cracks up. "This is worse than the Hunter Exam... you're lucky I'm not Menchi"

-You are pretty sure you can't mess up something simple

-You pick a recipe that looks easy and try to follow it

-Whatever you're making turns an odd color and looks completely unappetizing

-"Maybe it'll taste better than it looks," you think

-When you serve it to Killua, his face visibly turns green and he gags

-"I'm sorry," he says. "But seriously? Will this poison me?"

-Pika is intimidating to cook for because he's such a perfectionist and every time he does anything nice for you, he nails it 100% and everything is amazing and fantastic

-You're worried you can't quite reciprocate to his level, but you decide to try and make him dinner anyway

-You mix up your measurements and accidentally put four times as much wasabi than you need into the sauce you're making

-You totally don't realize what you did. The sauce smells great. You ladle it all over the meat you grilled and bring it out to Pika, feeling pleased with yourself

-He takes a bite and EVERYTHING on his face goes red

-Whatever you made, you made a complete mess of it

-Leorio is like, "Oh Lord, honey, this isn't fit for a dog to eat"

-Tears well up in your eyes and you sob, "I wanted to do something nice for you"

-He pats you on the back and smiles

-"Don't cry. This gives me the perfect excuse to take you out to dinner!"

-Takes a look at what you cooked, then takes a bite out of curiosity

-Says, "Oh, why are we wasting perfectly good time with dinner, anyway, when we could be doing other things"

-You are in a dither because you tried to make a fancy dinner and it just looks like crap.

-You take a test taste. It tastes even worse than it looks.

-Illumi wanders in. "Hey," he says, and sits down. He gazes out the window, looking preoccupied

-You give him the food and to your surprise he eats it all without comment

-A few minutes later he gets a strange look on his face

-"What was the name of that, that you made, again?" he asks, quizzically

-You make an utter disaster in the kitchen and stare at it in helpless dismay

-You are just about to pick up your phone and quickly order something to be delivered, when Chrollo walks in

-He takes in the entire scene and says, "What were you trying to make?"

-You tell him

-He says, "Oh, easy. Here, let me show you how to do that"

-He walks you through the steps and fixes all the things you did wrong

-Feitan walks in and finds you crying, having burned yourself and accidentally almost sawed off your finger trying to cut vegetables

-He cleans and bandages you up like a pro

-"I'm not worth all this," he assures you. "I'm honestly not even hungry right now"

-You buy a big bag of organic groceries, determined to make a really nice dinner for Shalnark

-"If I look it up on YouTube, maybe I can follow the recipe step by step," you tell yourself

-You try your best, but the meal still is a flop

-As you serve it to Shal, the doorbell rings

-It's the pizza delivery guy

-"Just call me psychic," giggles Shalnark
