《Waxing Gibbous》Discoveries (A)

When I returned home from the Cullen's Rosalie was with me, she probably wouldn't let me out of her sight anytime soon. I was okay with that, and my mom was too. Probably because they like each other.
"ready for some cleaning?" Rose asked looking around my room. When we returned my mom jumped on board to do some spring cleaning, I wasn't sure what it was about, but Eve was talking more about moving in with Mark, I figured my mom and Charlie would be moving in together soon.
I chuckled at the thought then looked at Rose "yeah, I have a lot of school stuff that I don't need anymore"
She nodded and helped me go through my room. We began sorting through things and putting them into totes. Notebooks, calculators, textbooks, basically everything I needed for school, but I wouldn't need again. I didn't want to throw it away because I might go to college, and it could come in handy.
The art room took the longest simply because I had so much stuff to go through. I picked up a box of clay, I opened the bag to see just a little bit left, unfortunately it was completely dry.
I shrugged and tossed it into the trash.
"is it empty?" Rose asked, I shook my head.
"it's too dry, besides there's only a small ball left."
She nodded and helped me go through everything, asking questions along the way. Simple ones, like what's this, or when did I make something. Most of my projects would be in storage. I worked hard on them so I didn't want to throw them away but there was no need for it to clutter the room.
It took us a few hours to get through my room. I went through my closet with Rosalie's help. I still had some clothes that I didn't need. Like a puffer coat, thermals, there was a fine line between clothes for show and too much.

So I pulled out a box for donation.
"you need to get more clothes" Rose mumbled. By the time we were done I had a weeks' worth of clothes. I flinched when I thought about all the clothes I phased out of, or left in the woods.
"yeah, maybe."
Rose helped me drag the other boxes to the basement where we kept everything. We didn't use the basement for anything, so storage was the perfect option.
While downstairs I found a wooden box. It was old and covered with dust, a lock keeping the contents secure. "hey mom?" I called out, she appeared from behind the door a second later.
"what's up?"
"do you know what this is?" I asked showing her the box, she took it gently and turned it around examining it carefully.
"hmm, I think it might be your dads, it could have been his moms" she replied handing me the box "I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you open it"
I smiled as she handed me back the box.
I didn't get to open it until a little while later, but by then Rose had left to go hunt. She would be close by and back by tonight. So, while she was doing that I sat on my bed, a pair of pliers in my hand as I tried to find the best option to cut the lock open.
I heard the snapping of metal, before tossing the pliers aside and pulling the lock off. "well, let's see what's in here."
I opened the lid to see it was full. There were a few journals, folders, and envelopes. The first thing my eyes met was an envelope with my name on it.
The white paper had yellowed with age, but everything was still legible. The moment I opened the envelope a necklace fell out. on it was a pendant, made of wood and resin. It was beautiful, inside was a wolf howling at the sky while the northern lights touched the ground. Deeper in the pendant on the snowy landscape I could make out a tipi. Just one. On the bottom was my name, engraved in the wood.

I twirled the pendant between my thumb and forefinger, a smile on my face. Just before I attached it to my necklace I saw the note.
'Alexandra, when you are old enough go to where the land meets the sky; they'll bewaiting.'
I chuckled as I read the note "a little late dad"
With a smile on my face, I pulled out the first journal to see my fathers handwriting. The dates go back before I was born.
One of the journals documented his childhood, it was like a medical journal. There was a little information later about him phasing and after his phasing. I closed it and figured it could be helpful later on down the road.
I grabbed the other journal and began reading it. I felt a little intrusive to see these words, it was like my dad was documenting his relationship with my mom.
I could see the relationship form from his point of view, like a love story. Then I got to a section that was all about heartbreak. My dad documented in intense detail how he and my mom fought, how she told him to leave and how he listened. From that point I could see the same thing that happened to me happen to him.
He went home and then he and Mark got into an argument forcing my dad to phase. He didn't hurt Mark or Harry who was standing nearby, but the phasing terrified him, causing him to take off.
I realized faintly that this was the two months that my dad disappeared the two months that were the time of Embry's conception, the time that everyone thought my dad cheated.
That wasn't the case, he went to Canada for one of the months. He regaled his ceremony, meeting Korinna and Hector, everything. The next month was the one I was worried about, no one knew what he was doing.
I flipped the page and found that he did visit the Makah tribe, but it wasn't to spend time with a woman. Hector was with him, this was his tribe. Or rather the tribe that Hector's mother moved too before her death.
My dad wrote in detail what it was like meeting her. She explained some more about our tribe, or rather the locations of where others traveled. A group of them moved to Alaska, though none were phasing.
I smiled; my dad didn't cheat. He was there for a short time, and he spent it all with Hector. But he did provide some information that everyone would be dying to hear...
I wasn't sure I could reveal it though, or that I wanted to. It would cause more trouble, but I could continue living my life knowing that my dad didn't cheat, that I didn't have a brother.
And Billy Black was in Makah territory, 17 years ago.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...

William, Robyn and Sid wake up in a strange grassy forest, made completely from pixels and blocks, with no memory of their past or knowledge of the world they have been thrust into. The world plays like a game, the nights bring zombies and flying demon eyes, the lands are being corrupted by living flesh, and the old man standing in front of a mysterious dungeon seems to be under some sort of curse. The three of them will need to learn how to work together, build up a village for the astray citizens that keep showing up on their doorstep, and gear up in order to take on the challenges of the world and become the Guardians of Terraria.Enjoying the story? Want to talk about it? Join my discord here!https://discord.gg/EWghT6Aa5R- Terraria is an awesome game developed by Re-Logic. I highly recommend checking it out if you have not heard of it before.- The story's cover and chapter banners are constructed from in-game screenshots with some image editing.- This is a fanfic based on the progression of the game and the official Terraria lore. The citizen characters are based on the NPCs, while the player characters are wholly my own creation.
