《Achilles (Wattys2015)》Chapter 23

"Achilles, you can't have anything else. You'll puke." Melissa sighed, scowling at her son.
Achilles continued to glare at her, refusing to eat the soup sitting on the table. He was still ghostly pale with a little hint of green. He had circles under his eyes and lost even more weight, which was slightly scaring me. I sat quietly while watching them bicker, it's funny. Achilles looked at me for help, but I only smiled sweetly and walked away.
"I hate you." he grumbled in the mind-link.
I laughed, "Nope, you love me."
I walked outside to see Blake and Ryan sparring with each other while Sadie was with her new mate. I smiled at them, she's finally happy with a guy. Henry watched her with love struck eyes, hanging onto each word she spoke. Blake and Ryan's mates were chatting at the pool, their feet hanging in the water.
I walked over and was about to sit down when Mona flashed me an irritated look, I frowned at her as she tried shewing me away. What crawled up her ass and died? Jennifer furrowed her eyebrows before looking at me. She grinned and got up, pulling me into a hug.
"How is Achilles? Still sick?" she asked, sitting me down.
I sighed, "Yeah, but Melissa said he should be better soon. It's actually comical to watch those two bicker, he's like a stubborn child."
Jennifer laughed, "That sounds like Achilles. I'm just glad he's actually talking to his mom again, it was sad to watch it slowly destroy her as her son refused to even see her."
"I know, I had to convince him to not ignore her and to give her a chance."
"You're an awesome Luna, you know that, right?" she asked, smiling.
I grinned, "Thanks, Jen."
Mona sighed and got up, telling us she had better things to do. We both stared at her retreating back, trying to figure out what set her mood off suddenly. I know we've had an awkward relationship, I don't even know if you could call us friends. I shook my head, I guess she can act like a bi-polar bitch if she wants.

"So, any news on those rogues?" I asked, dipping my feet into the pool.
Jen shook her head, "They're still attacking our patrols, your territory is in ruins. The Hybrid leader wasn't happy that your pack was gone."
"Of course he is, he probably wanted to murder everyone."
"Most likely, the rogues attacking us aren't part of those ten groups, plus the Hybrids."
"Who are they then?"
She shrugged, "A random group of rogues, Melissa is thinking of calling them the Outcast group."
I laughed, "Does she have all this organized?"
"Pretty much."
I talked to Jennifer for a little more before getting up and walking inside, needing to grab something to drink. I walked past Mona who was talking to Sierra, both of them flashing me a glare. I sighed, why do they hate me so much? If they continue to disrespect me, then they can find themselves a new pack. I could care less if they have mates in this pack, they're disrespecting me and I'm tired of it.
What makes them think they can just treat their Luna like this? Mona should know better, I've been her Alpha for almost two years now. Sierra, well, I guess she needs to get used to the idea of me being Alpha female. Not like it should bother her, as long as she stays away from me and doesn't act rude towards me, then we should be fine. The only times she'll have to see me is whenever we have a meeting or a celebration or something.
I finished drinking my glass of water and placed it in the sink, I turned to see them both glaring at me still. I rolled my eyes and literally pushed them out of my way, smirking when they both groaned from smacking the wall.
"What was that for!?" Mona snapped.
I turned and narrowed my eyes, "You've been acting like a bitch this whole day so far, and you two decide to just glare at me for no reason. What the hell is your issue?"

"You are our issue! Goddess, you're always taking Ryan away from me and you're doing the same to Sierra! Do you have a thing for Gammas?" Mona barked.
I glowered at her, "No, I have a thing for my mate. Achilles. You know, the Alpha of this pack? I was talking to Jay because he was explaining something to me and Ryan is the one who searches me out to report back any problems. Since Achilles and I are fully mated I'm technically your Luna, Sierra, and I think you don't want to piss me off or get on my bad side. As for you, Mona, I've been your Alpha for a while now and I still am. My sister will become Luna of the pack and Henry will become Alpha once this is all over. However, I'm still your Alpha and I expect you to not treat me with such disrespect anymore. Your rudeness disgusts me, makes me ashamed to call you a packmember." I spat before walking away.
I walked upstairs to check on Achilles, being near him should calm me down. If not, then Mona and Sierra's mates better pray that my wolf doesn't decide to rip those she-wolves apart. I closed the door and sat beside Achilles' sleeping form, Melissa looked up and smiled softly.
"Are you okay?" she asked, getting up and checking me.
I sighed, "I hate Mona and Sierra, they're so...bitter."
"Tell me about it, if I could, I would kick Sierra out of the pack."
"I would, but then you have Jay who hasn't done anything wrong. Funny, I was telling myself a few minutes ago that I could careless if they have mates, I was going to make those two rogue. Now, I just feel guilty for even thinking that."
Melissa gave me a sympathetic look before sitting down, "I know how you feel. It'll eventually get better, once Achilles hears about Sierra's disrespect towards you she'll be punished for sure."
"Oh, hell yes, she will be." Achilles growled from under the blankets.
Both of us jumped, looking at him with wide eyes. He poked his head out from under the quilt before fully sitting up. He had gained a little color back, but he still looked sick.
"I'm going to have a word with that dog, she likes it or not." Achilles stated, anger evident in his tone.
I smiled softly and kissed him, "I know you will, but don't kill her. We don't need Jay going against us."
He chuckled, kissing me back. "I won't, but I do have some news for you."
Melissa suddenly grinned, her eyes bright. Before Achilles could even open his mouth she was already blurting it out. "My second chance mate is coming! Achilles agreed to meet him, since he never really did anything horrible to him."
I grinned and hugged them both, "Look at you, Achilles! You're finally gaining some consideration for other peoples' feelings!"
He scowled at me, "You're going to pay for that one."
"I have a few ideas on how I could..."
"Okay, no dirty talk while I'm here!" Melissa shrieked, looking at us with horror.
We both laughed, "Mom, could I have some alone time with my mate?"
"Of course! I'm going to take care of...um...someone."
"You're going to slap Sierra, aren't you?" Achilles questioned.
Melissa pursed her lips, "Maybe."
When she closed the door I laughed, "I like your mother."
"Good, she likes you too. Looks like she won't be that evil mother-in-law...more like the crazy one who will spoil her grandchildren."
I kissed him on the lips, gently grinding on him as I straddled his waist. "Now, only if you weren't sick I could allow you your revenge for that comment I made." I whispered.
I could feel his excitement as he looked at me with dark lust in his eyes. "Sweetheart, in case you haven't noticed, I'm a werewolf. I can handle this."
I grinned, "Prove it."

The Woman In The Palace
Highest rank #1 in Historical He glared at me with irritation. "Come inside!" ...And I did. He pointed to the stack of books on the floor. "Pick them up and arrange them the way they're supposed to."With trembling hands, I did what he asked quickly. Fret in the way I moved, picking up the books into my arms and lap one by one only for them to fall back on the floor over and over. I was a mess, upset, and it was obvious. This wasn't the kind of first meeting I dreamed of.The second prince was mean, and he was irritable. He had no clue who I am which made me resent it even more.He scowled as he watched me made mistakes after mistakes and after a while, he grew frustrated and bent over, picking the books himself."Forgive me, I didn't mean to snarl at you the way I did. I'm not used to being distracted. No one ever walks in my office unless they have my permission. I don't even know how the guardsmen let you in." I wanted to say because unlike you, they recognized who I am. But I kept my mouth shut in fear of aggravating his anger. His voice took a lot gentler tone, I imagined he must've realized how upset I was and felt bad about it.I said nothing. When we're done, I rose up to my feet, couldn't wait to get out of this room. This man was so impolite to me that I couldn't wait to get away from him."I apologize, your highness. I didn't mean to distract you in your private office." I stepped back getting ready to leave when a sliver of sunlight struck highlighting my face. "Wait!" He murmured and I turned back to look at him."You're beautiful." He said breathlessly.I would have blushed, but he was so mean and rude to me that his compliment lost its impact long ago."I need to go," I told him."Wait." A wave of panic rose in the tide of his voice. The prince was afraid to lose me. "What's your name, girl?" He asked quickly. "Jasmine, my name is Jasmine, your highness.""My Jasmine?" He murmured hopeful.
