"So where we going then?" Asked Luke as he followed Julie through the city, hiding behind nearby walls or bushes if they saw someone familiar.
Julie bit her lip not actually knowing where they were going.
"Uh.."
Luke turned to her, a bemused expression covered his face.
"You dont know do you?"
Julie blushed in embarrassment as she tried to defend herself.
"Well I thought we would go to a party or something, you know escape all the rules and live freely for once...I just dont know where there are any parties..." she trailed off looking at her heels as she walked.
Luke chuckled "well luckily for us, I happen to know that Prince Alex, has a friend who's pretty cool and just so happens to be hosting a party tonight"
Julie grinned "that's great! Lead the way kind sir" giggled Julie as she held her arms out and gestured for luke to lead the way to the party.
Luke took her hand, kissing it before walking in one direction, dragging Julie along with him.
Suddenly they came to a stop, Julie crashing into Luke's back at the sudden stop
"Luke! Why-" julie stopped as luke shushed her and took her hand running the opposite direction.
Suddenly Julie heres a shout "the prince and princess! Over here!"
Oh no! They had noticed they were missing the king, Julie's father had sent out a search party for them. But Julie wasnt ready to go back to the castle yet.
They ducked into an alley way, watching as the guards ran past them and sighed in relief.
"Well this isnt the type of fun I was going for but running from the rules are always fun" giggled Julie.
Luke kissed Julie's cheek "anything I do with you is fun princess" he whispered.
Julie scoffed pushing him backwards gently "stop with the princess, we've known eachother since kids, no need to be so formal" she whined, theres never a need to be formal with eachother.
Luke chuckled "I only do it to annoy you"
Julie was about to reply when they heard a voice heading their way "maybe they hid in an alley way!?"
Their eyes widened in alarm.
"Shoot, we're gonna have to make a run for it Jules" whispered luke.

Julie groaned quietly "but these are my favourite shoes" she may hate all the rules and formalities that came with being a princess but she loved the clothing.
"I will but you new ones, now on three" whispered Luke kissing her on the cheek again.
1...
Julie took of her shoes flinging them behind some dumpster
2...
They heard more voices heading their way. Julie thanked the lord she was wearing one of her more causal and short dressed.
3...
They took off running as fast as they could, passing two guards, startling them in the process which gave them an advantage.
"Follow me" shouted julie to luke as they kept running.
After a while they lost the guards and were at the place Julie had led them too.
"Wow" gasped luke as he admired the place.
"This is the place my mother would take me too when I was a kid, I used to love looking at all the flowers" julie smiled softly as she relived the memory.
It was a secret guarded, it was hidden away behind some rocks. Behind the Rock's there was a beautiful waterfall that you had to go through to get to the garden.
The garden was decorated beautifully with a beautiful archway made out of leaves with Rose's embroidered into it, the garden was filled with rose bushes, flowerbeds with all kids of different flowers, there were ladybugs, caterpillars, butterflies everywhere and a bench right in the middle of the garden where they could take in the place, even a pool of water that houses lilypads and frogs.
"Its stunning" says Luke lost for words.
"Nobody knows about this place, not even my father, so we wont be found by the guards" says Julie taking a seat on the bench.
Luke shakes out of his shock, taking a seat on the bench next to Julie.
"I am in so much trouble when we get back to the castle" luke shakes his head, but a smile rests on his face.
Julie smirks, taking Luke's hand "we can get into trouble together" theres a playful look in her eye as she leans forward, like shes about to kiss him. His eyes flutter closed as he waits for the moment where her lips will meet with his own but it never comes as Julie suddenly pulls away, laughing as she runs around the garden to avoid being caught by him.

Luke shakes his head amused, she always was the mischievous one, he stands up chasing her shouting "get back here!" As she runs away still laughing.
He eventually catches her, pulling her into his arms as they settle into a comfortable silence.
"Luke" Julie whispers, breaking the silence.
"Yes Jules?" He whispers back.
"I uh- I lo-" she stutters
Luke smiles at her "its ok Jules, you can say it"
Julie smiles up at him "I low-key think this silence is the most awkward thing ever" she grins.
Luke scowls, pulling away from her.
She crackles, not having to worry about being presentable infront of luke.
"Ha! You thought!" She laughs
Luke pouts, crossing his arms.
When Julie finally stops laughing she watches him, a soft smile on her face.
"No but for real, I love you" she smiles
Luke smiles " I love you too Jules" he says reaching forward and kissing her passionately.
They break apart as Julie's phone rings.
Julie's face drops as she sees who's calling her.
She sighs, time to face the music.
"Its my dad" she informs him.
Luke groans, "Well, I better enjoy my last few moments on earth"
"Hi daddy" says Julie as she answeres the phone, putting on her fake, innocent, daddies little girl act that always got her out of trouble when she was little.
"I'm ever so sorry daddy, Luke and I decided to go for a walk, I was feeling a bit restless"
Luke listens nervously as she tries to guess what the king is saying on the other line.
"Yes at night, I'm sorry for breaking the rules, I had a nightmare and Luke thought it would be a good idea to take me on a walk to calm me, it worked, I'm feeling much better"
The lie leaves her tongue easily, she was used to it by now, she was always a mischievous kid, she got that from her mother
"Ok daddy, we will be back soon, goodbye"
Julie ends the call with a sigh, she loved her father, but he could be a bit overprotective.
"So, hoe long do you think I have before he beheads me and keeps my head as a decoration?" Asks Luke.
Julie rolls her eyes at his dramatics.
"Dont be so dramatic Luke, you know my father loves you like your his own son, hes not going to behead you" she says at they start walking back through the waterfall.
The tention leaves luke after he hears that, he knew the king didnt hate him, but he was very over protective when it came to his daughter, and you could say he was just a bit scared of the king.
Julie suddenly smirks "he does want to see you in the dungeons tho" she says
Luke's eyes widen as he starts to panic until Julie laughs.
"Calm down Luke, we dont even have a dungeon" she takes his hand and kisses his cheek.
Luke stops panicking at the realisation. "Ih yeah" he mutters.
Julie stops walking turning to face him, "I promise luke, my dad doesnt hate you, the most hes gonna do is give us the disappointed talk and ban us from seeing eachother this weekend, which you know wont stop us anyway" she pecks him on the lips and starts walking again.
Luke laughs "you would have thought, he would have given up by now with the amount of times hes banned us from seeing eachother and we havent listened"
"I know" julie laughs as they are met by a guard who waits to take them back to the castle.
15 minutes later and they are back at the castle, the king did exactly what Julie said he would and banned them from seeing eachother, but rules are there for them to break right?
They come to a stop by Julie's room "well that didnt go to plan, but at least we still had fun" smiled Luke.
Julie smiled back "tonight, was the most fun I've had in a while, I hate being royalty, but at least I met you" whispered Julie before she pulls luke into a kiss.
They pull away as a maid walks past, clearing her throat.
"Night luke" giggles Julie
"Night princess" luke smirks and turns away to walk to his own room.
From behind him he hears Julie groan at the nickname and he chuckles, being a prince sucked, but he had the perfect princess.

As the Godking Wills
The Empire and the Church span almost the entirety of the known world, absent some pockets of lawlessness and the realms of the deceiver. They are governed as a despotic theocracy, ruled in name by the solitary and omnipotent God, Al'Shazan. In practice, Al'Shazan is bored, flighty, cruel and has little interest in ruling the Empire. Instead the Empire is run by the High Priest, Minister of the Treasury, and the Knight Commander of the inquisition. Their job is to make sense of the contradictory nonsense spewed forth by their living God while simultaneously ruling the greatest nation that the world has ever known. The entire time, they have to maintian the facade that Al'Shazan is a benevolent and loving God in order to maintain morale in the general populace. --------- The actual genre for this is more along the lines of a Fantasy Political Comedy/Drama/Thriller. It will not be 'crunchy' (minimal action, minimal descriptions of powers/abilities) but instead be focusing on world building and political maneuvering. As a warning, it is fairly dark.

8 140The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
