Where luke gets insecure and Julie is there to comfort him

Luke is aware that hes been distant lately, hes also aware that his girlfriend along with Alex and reggie are worried about him and it was nothing to worry about really...he didnt deserve to be worried about. That didnt stop him from distancing him from the others though.

Right now Julie and Luke were in Julies room, she had quite literally dragged him into her room so they could spend some time together, and because luke hadn't wanted to make her worry more he hadn't protested.

They were song writing, one of the couples favourite activities to do together, but luke had been oddly quiet about his ideas.

"What about this?" Asked Luke showing Julie the lyrics he had on his paper.

But when he quickly added "but, you know we dont Have too, its probably rubbish anyway" and took the lyrics away, avoiding eye contact, Julie finally asked him about what was going on with him these last couple of days.

"No luke honey, it was great, we should definitely use it for the bridge." Said Julie tilting her head before she continued

"What's wrong Luke?" She asked placing her hand over his.

Luke continued to avoid eye contact

"What? Nothings wrong Jules, you dont need to worry about me" he whispered the last part looking down.

Julie frowned "but I do have to worry Luke, your normally a ball of energy and excitement but lately you've been really quiet, and that's when we do get to see you because you've been trying to avoid us all lately, and on top of that, you've been really shy about your lyrics, like you genuinely believe they aren't that good which is total rubbish because they're awesome, they always are" julie finished her rant and lifted Luke's head to look at her

"Please tell me what's going on" Julie begged, unshed tears in her eyes.

Luke, who couldnt handle crying girls, sighed started to spill his guts to the girl he loves.

"I- I just- why would anyone love me Jules?"

Julie's face twisted into an expression of shock, not expecting that but before she could say anything luke continued.

"I mean, my parents didn't, they always hated that I wasnt that straight A student who stayed home and studied and loved to spend time with my family. They always hated buying me that guitar, and they never liked our music. If my own parents didnt even like my lyrics then why would anyone else? I just dont want to get in anyone's way, I thought that maybe you would all be better off without me, my mother always did think that I would fail in life and I didnt want to bring you all down with me" by now the couple were both in tears.

Julie took Luke's face in her hands, looking him in the eye and started speaking, her voice determined and strong, While her face told a different story.

"Luke, baby, I cannot tell you in words how much you mean to me and the boys. We love you so much, obviously in different ways but the point still stands. Your parents are jerks who should have loved their son just the way you are, but that's their own loss because they are missing out on so much and if they didnt have good taste in music, well that's their own problem. Your music and lyrics are awesome luke, we would never be as good as we are if it wasnt for you. I love you so much luke, I dont know where I would be if I had never met you, but I know I would probably still be in that great pit of sadness. You bring so much joy to me luke, please never think that your getting in the way or unlovable again because you are so wrong" Julie finished, kissing Luke passionately.

Once they broke away, luke was still crying but this time he had a smile on his face.

"If it wasnt for me, you would probably still be crushing on that Jick guy, aren't you lucky I showed up" luke teased, nudging julie.

Julie laughed "glad you saved me from that one"

It went silent for a moment, the pair staring at each other in love.

"I love you" whispered Luke.

"I love you too" Julie whispered back

Suddenly, Alex and Reggie poofed in interrupting their moment.

"Luke! We have come to talk about how you've been acting recently!" Said reggie in a stern voice while Alex nodded, a stern look also plastered across his face.

Luke chuckled "guys dont worry Ju-" he was interrupted

"No luke! Listen to us first, this is important" said Alex,

"Ye but-" luke tried to say but was ignored.

"Now, we all think that you've been distanced lately" said reggie

"Yeah, we just want to-" Alex was interrupted by Julie who yelled fo get their attention.

"BOYS!" boy was she thankful her brother and father weren't home.

Alex and reggie quickly shut up looking at Julie.

"You dont need to worry, I've already talked to him and hes fine now" julie smiled.

Reggie and Alex's face relaxed. "Oh"

"Well we are glad your ok now buddy" said Alex.

"I dont like being serious, it sucks all the fun out of everything" frowned reggie but then grinned "you want to go to the park and dog watch?" He asked.

Everyone but reggie chuckled.

"I love you guys" luke grinned.

"Do we top Julie?" Asked reggie.

Luke scoffed, pulling said girl closer to him.

"No, Julie's definitely tops you guys" he said half jokingly.

Reggie scoffed "then I dont want your love"

"The pain is real luke" said alex dramatically hand over his heart while Julie simply looked amused.

Luke chuckled "you know I love you guys, I just love Julie in a different way. I certainly dont want to kiss you guys"

Alex grimaced "ew no, that's like kissing a brother. I dont want to think about that"

Reggie pouted offended "I am a great kisser thankyou very much, your missing out" he crossed his arms.

"Cmon alex, let's go dog watching in the park" then poofed out, Alex following after him.

Julie giggled "you guys certainly bring chaos to my world"

Luke pecked her on the lips "what's life without a little chaos?" He grinned.

Julie smirked at him "well, for 1 quieter"

Luke snorted "quiet is boring"

"Love you bubs" Julie said again, smiling at him lovingly (these 2 are so cute it's disgusting)

"I love me too" luke grinned cheekily.

Julie hit him with a 'really?' Look but replied with "glad to hear it"
