Julie Molina, good girl, gets good grades, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't sleep with random strangers shes just met.

Luke Patterson, bad boy, doesn't get good grades, drinks, smokes, a play boy.

Quite the opposite, what happened when they meet?

Now julie wasnt a nerd, she was actually a very cool person to be around when you got to know her. Just because she actually payed attention in class, had straight As and didnt ruin her life by drinking and smoking, that did not make her lame. (So you can shove your useless words up your butt carrie Wilson.)

Julie had 1 friend at her school, Flynn. Flynn had been julies best friend ever since kindergarten. They grew up together and they were platonic soulmates, like peanut butter and jelly. You couldnt have one without the other.

Luke patterson on the other hand. Luke was the most popular guy in school, girls fawned over him left and right. Luke didnt do his work, was always late to class (if he even showed up at all), went to parties, drank and sometimes he smoked (but not often). Yeah your typical bad boy.

Luke had 2 best friends, reggie and Alex. They had met in 1st grade and had stuck together ever since. They were all in a band together (sunset curve, tell your friends) along with bobby (but he betrayed the band so they kicked him out. They dont talk about him anymore).

Despite his whole bad boy front, luke was actually a really nice boy, who cared about his friends and would do anything for those he loved.

"Hey girl" flynn, julies best friend greeted.

"Hey" julie greeted back.

"So, have you heard the news?" Asked flynn excitedly.

"Uh no, I have not, because gossip doesn't reach to the shy, good girls flynn" Julie said in a voice and a look that said "duh"

"Well Nick and carrie broke up!" Flynn jumped up and down excitedly

Julie groaned rolling her eyes "how many times do I have to tell you, that boy is never going to even look in my direction let alone speak to me and plus, I've gotten over my Nick crush"

Flynn gave Julie a disbelieving look "uh huh" she said unconvinced

The bell rings

"Time for english" julie smiled happy to get away from the conversation

The pair made their way down the hall, chatting about little things on their way to music class when suddenly julie bumped into something making her fall to the ground.

"Ow" julie groaned.

"Watch where your going dude" a male voice snapped.

Flynn helped Julie up.

When Julie finally looked up at the mystery man she nearly gasped in horror. The schools bad boy was standing infront of her. She was so going to get it now.

"Uh sorry" Julie mumbled,

Luke's eyes lit up in recognition "hey your the girl who always sits in the front and answers questions with the curly hair"

Julie would have choked if she were drinking something. He recognized her?

"Uh- yeah that's me" she said shyly, her cheeks colouring.

"Cool, see you in class" luke nodded and continued the opposite way.

Julie was stunned. What on earth just happened?

"What on earth just happened?" Flynn asked incredulously. It was like she could read her mind.

"I have no clue" said julie a bit dazed.

"Shouldn't he have like glared at you and push you into the lockers?" Asked flynn.

"FLYNN!" said julie offended.

"What? It's not like I wanted it to happen it's just what I expected" flynn shrugged.

"Now come on we are late"

And with that flynn took her besties hand and ran down the hallway dragging her into class.

Yes they were late but because it was their first time being late their teacher understood.

15 minutes after the girls had arrived to class Luke and his friends barged in.

"We are late to class and we aren't sorry" luke said walking in with no care at all.

The class sniggered. Even julie and flynn had to hide their giggles behind their hand.

"You finally decided to join us, welcome boys, afterschool detention for all of you" the teacher glared at them.

"There are only 3 seats left, two at the back and one at the front next to miss Molina here" the teacher pointed as she spoke.

Alex and Reggie ran to the back before luke could even Blink.

Rolling his eyes luke made his way too the front next to julie.

Julies eyes widened. Luke patterson was sitting next to her. She might faint.

"You ok? You look like you've just seen a ghost" luke asked her with a concerned look that Julie had to pinch herself to believe was there.

"And now your pinching yourself. Do I need to take you to the nurse?" Luke asked jokingly but half serious.

Julie looked down, hiding her blush behind her curly hair.

"No I'm fine dont worry" she whispered as the teacher started talking.

Luke simply nodded and got out his song book and started writing lyrics not paying attention to class at all.

The teacher had finished explained today's task and everyone was getting on with the work (or at least pretending too).

Luke was clueless about what they had to do so he decided to ask Julie since his parents threatened to take away his guitar if he didnt start doing his work.

"Hey" luke poked her shoulder.

Julie ignored the boy assuming he was up to no good and continued with her work.

"Good girl, what was it- Julia? Julie! That's it! Julie" luke poked Julie's ribs this time, where she was extremely ticklish.

Julie squealed and instinctively coward into a ball in defence making everyone stare at her.

"Sorry" she apologised before continuing trying to work after everyone had gone back to minding their own business.

"Julie I will poke you in the ribs again if you dont answer me" luke threatened.

"What?" Julie snapped turning to look at the boy

"What are we doing?" He whispered.

Julie nearly facepalmed but sighed instead.

"We are writing an essay about why pandas should not be extinct" she explained shortly

"Oh" said luke staring st the paper infront of him when julie went back to writing her essay.

"But I dont know why pandas shouldn't be extinct" luke whispered again after a beat of silence.

Julie quietly groaned. This was going to be a long class.

After the longest class is history (because of a certain bad boy) julie made her way out of her English class, Flynn beside her and walked to her locker to collect her book before her next class.

"I swear to god, if I ever have to endure that ever again I will smash the window and leave school" julie said banging her head onto her locker

Flynn sniggered at her friends dramatics.

Suddenly a teacher came out of the teachers lounge.

Mr Jeffery. Mr jeffery hated every single student in school no matter how polite and good they were.

"Who's banging lockers?!?" He yelled.

The teacher immediately looked at Julie and Flynn.

"You two!? Detention!" He said without even giving them a chance to speak

Flynn turned to julie, her face expressionless

"You just gave me my first detention" flynn deadpanned

Julie just laughed nervously "I didn't even do anything!" Flynn exasperated flinging her arms about

"Woah hey, hey" julie grabbed Flynns arms before they could accidentaly wack her in the face "at least we are together right?" Julie tried being hopeful.

"Girl you know our parents will kill us" said flynn

"Yeah" Julie sighed.

This was going to be a long day

After school was over, and all the student had left. Julie and Flynn spent 15 minutes trying to find the detention room.

After getting lost a few times they finally found it. Luckily the teacher wasnt here yet but three boys were.

"Woah, the good girls are in detention. What did you do?" Reggie teased when he saw them turning luke and alex attention toward them.

"That jackass of a teacher, mr Jeffery gave us detention, even though it was all Julies fault and I didnt do anything!" Flynn grumbled.

Luke turned to look at Julie smirking "what did the goodie goodie do?" He teased playfully.

Julie scoffed "ok firstly, all I did was slam my head against the locker and secondly flynn, I'm pretty sure you slammed your locker closed at the exact time I slammed my head onto the locker making the noise louder sooo"

"Well I'm pretty sure I didnt soo" flynn argued.

Before julie could say anything back the boys laughter interrupted them.

"Damn girl fight" alex chuckled.

"Alex dont you know anything" reggie scoffed at him "girl fights are way worse they involve nails and hair pulling"

"Oh says you reginald who asked if donkeys were baby horses." Alex retorted

Reggir made an offended noise but before he could say anything Luke interrupted them "alright boys chill"

"So wheres the teacher?" Asked Julie as she and Flynn sat down in a chair

"Right here miss Molina" mr Jeffery came in the room.

"Get off the tables" he told the boys.

"Now that your all here you will be here for two hours but I've got better things to do than to sit here watching annoying kids so I will be watching cricket in the teachers lounge but in locking the door and I will be back in two hours, au'revioir" and with that mr jeffery left locking the door.

"Finally hes gone" alex groaned sitting back on the table.

"That guy gives me a headache" said luke sitting in the teachers spiny chair.

"Well now what?" Asked flynn sitting on a table.

"Now, we sit for two hours waiting for him to get back" answered reggie propping his feet up on another chair.

"What fun" julie deadpanned sitting on the table next to Flynn.

After what they guessed was around 20 minutes had passed (the clock in the room was broken) everyone was extremely bored.

"This is the most boring thing I've ever done in my life" groaned Julie.

"But dont you study for tests?" Asked reggie confusedly.

Julie glared at him "yes, and at least when I'm studying I'm actually doing something"

"Alright why dont we play a game to get to know each other. 20 questions?" Suggested alex.

Ater everyone agreed, they moved into the middle of the room, sitting on desks in a circle.

"Alright so someone asks a question and everyone answers" alex confirmed the rules.

"Yes alex we know" reggie rolled his eyes.

"Flynn you ask first" said Luke before another arguement could start.

"Ok um..... who was everyone first ever crush?"

"Damn so we ain't starting with the basics ok" said luke jokingly.

"Uh mine was tracy holdsworth back in 3rd grade." reggie answered

"Gabriel Anderson in 5th grade" answered alex

"Kelly Hewson in 6th grade" answered luke.

"Joshua Gibbons in 4th grade" answered julie.

"Derick stone in 4th grade" said Flynn.

"Wow ok, why does everyone have such weird names?" Asked Julie.

Her question went unanswered.

"Alright reg you ask a question" said flynn.

"Uhhhhh, what was your first impression of your best friend"

Everyone looked at him shocked that he had come up with such a question.

"Uh well my first impression of Flynn was that she was very nice for letting my borrow her red crayon" julie was the first to snap out of her shock.

When she saw the boys looking at her amused she rolled her eyes "it was kindergarten jeez"

"Ok no need to get all cranky on us" luke teased.

Julie's face turned mischievous

"oh boy" said flynn who knew what was coming.

"I will show you cranky" said julie.

Luke immediately got up running around the room dodging all the tables and chairs while Julie chased him.

Eventually julie backed the boy into a corner and wacked him on the back of the head hard

"Ow!!" Luke exclaimed rubbing his head.

Julie leaned closer bring her lips to his ear "next time, dont call a girl cranky because you'll get worse" and she turned around to see everyone looking at them in amusement.

"Enjoy the show?" She asked sarcastically.

"Your a very sassy, sarcastic person aren't you?" Asked alex rhetorically.

Flynn replied for her "yeah, when you get to really know her, you in for one hell of ride"

They guessed around an hour had passed and everyone had finished their game. They were all now in their own spaces doing their own thing.

Flynn and alex were in the corner gossiping.

Reggie had his feet on the table as he threw a ball up and down in the air over and over.

Luke and Julie were by the teachers desk teasing each other with julie sitting on the teaches desk swinging her legs back and forth and luke in the spiny chair infront of her.

"I'm sorry but your handwriting is just terrible" julie crossed her arms.

Luke scoffed "ok miss perfect. Tell me what's it like being boring" he said with a teasing smile.

"I wouldnt know, I'm a very interesting person" julie sassed.

"Julie if you kick me one more time I'm going to tickle you" said luke getting irritated

"I'm not doing it on purpose! Your just in the way!" Said julie with a cheeky smile that told him she was definitely doing it on purpose

Slowly Luke's hand made it's way to julies side.

"No- no no no- luke stop-" said julie shifting away from him.

When Luke's hand connected with Julie's side she squealed as he tickled her.

"Sto-stop, ha-have m-mercy" julie got out inbetween laughs.

"Only if you go on a date with me" luke grinned at her stopping momentarily.

Julie looked up at him shocked "uh...what?"

"Go on a date with me and I will stop tickling you" luke replied booping her on her nose

Julie scrunched her nose at Luke's touch but then said "I guess, I could fit that in my schedule" she playfully rolled her eyes but the grin gave her away.

Luke let the girl up smiling at her "great"

Flynn who along with reggie and alex had been watching the whole time snorted and said "smooth"

Later on mr Jeffery found them in a den made out of tables and chairs. He gave them all another detention but none of them cared, turns our detentions was kinda fun with friends.
