Julie gets pregnant but shes too scared to tell luke because of a past relationship.

Julie sat on the bathroom floor looking at the stick that had just told her some news that would change her future.

Tears were running down her face.

She was pregnant

She and luke had gotten together 4 years ago and two nights ago was their 4 year anniversary. You can guess what happened that night.

'What am I going to do?'

'What will luke say?"

All these thoughts ran through her head but one stuck with her.

'What if he does what the last guy did?'

Wiping her tears away, julie stood up and hid the pregnancy test in the bathroom cabinet, behind all the toilet role.

Julie took a deep breath.

It was fine. She just wont tell him until she starts to show and by then.....well she would figure that out but she was keeping this baby.

Julie recomposed herself and walked out the bathroom where she found Luke sitting on their bed.

Julie had moved in with Luke after a year of being together, she met the boys through luke and they quickly became the older brothers she had always wanted. They had managed to convince her to join their band (Julie had insisted they were joining her band) and one night after playing a gig, a manager from a record label came up to them asking if Julie and the phantoms would consider signing a contract and that was how Julie and the phantoms became one of the most famous bands in America.

"Hey babe you ok?" Luke asked concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine, dont worry" Julie reassured as convincingly as she could.

Luke nodded not really buying it.

"Promise, now let's go rehearse with the guys, their waiting for us" said Julie pecking luke on the lips and leaving the room quickly to meet the boys at their rehearsal space.

The band had decided they wanted to buy their own space to rehearse, so they rented a building which was a five minute drive from Julie and Luke's house, and rehearsed there since the building was owned by a couple in their late 50s who were previously in a band themselves before they retired.

Luke couldnt help but get the feeling that something was off but he shook the feeling away and followed Julie.

The couple had gotten to the studio (which was simply a building with a massive room that housed their intruments) but Alex and reggie still weren't here, so they waited.

While they waited Julie got out her microphone and started to doodle on it.

"Sooo...theres nobody here...you wanna make out while we wait?" Luke smirked wiggling his eyebrows.

Julie laughed when Luke giggled his eyebrows but quickly tensed up at the mention of making out.

"Uh..we cant...we are in an open space where anyone could walk in including our missing bandmates who still aren't here" julie stuttered.

Luke raised his eyebrow "jules nobody comes here except for the band and mr and mrs Galway (the retired couple) who only come on sundays and its wednesday"

Julie nodded "I know, and like I said reggie and Alex could walk in any minute now"

Luke frowned because that had never stopped them before, they were quite a touchy feely couple and were often found kissing.

"They've walked in on us kissing hundreds of times before and that's never stopped us before" luke walks over to the couch julie was sitting on and sat beside her

"Everything ok?" He asked, he could tell when something was wrong with his girlfriend.

Julie quickly nodded nervously "yup everything's just fine, I'm just tired"

Luke was about to say something when they were interrupted by two doofs.

"Sorry we are late! Reggie here saw a puppy and just HAD to pet it" alex rolled his eyes.

"Hey! That puppy was really cute!" Reggie shouted defensively.

Julie jumped up glad for the distraction

"that's fine guys, let's get practicing that song we have been working on" she said far too cheerfully.

Luke frowned, something was definitely wrong but he would confront her later.

"Hurry up luke!"

Luke looked up to see the band was in their positions to practice and walked over to his guitar, pushing his thoughts out for now.

It was the end of practice and even reggie and Alex had noticed something was wrong with Julie.

She hadn't been as enthusiastic as usual and had avoided sharing her mic with Luke which was a common occurrence even in practice.

"Dude is julie ok?" Reggie whispered to luke when they were all packing up.

Reggie wasnt as dumb and blind as he came off. He was actually quite smart and he could tell when his little sis wasnt alright.

Luke frowned "I dont know man, something definitely wrong, I just dont know what"

"Oh, well you should confront her about it tonignt" reggie suggested.

Luke nodded his head and agreed.

"Hey guys, we all ready to head off, mr and mrs Galway like us gone by 7pm the latest" julie shouted over to them.

"Coming" luke shouted over to them.

The group went their separate ways, promising to have a movie day tomorrow since they had all been busy with their loved ones today.

Alex had married Willie and Reggie had a girlfriend called Valerie who he had met at the park one day. They had been together for a couple months now.

On the way home, julie was abnormally quiet. Normally she would be chatting his ear off about ideas for new songs or excitedly raving about how good practice was and what they needed to do better but today, she simply looked out the car window seemingly lost in thought.

Later that night when Julie and Luke were about to go to bed luke couldnt hold it in any longer and confronted Julie.

"Hey Jules I need to talk to you" he said as Julie came out of the bathroom.

"Sure what's up?" Julie asked sitting on the bed next to him.

"I cant shake the feeling that somethings wrong Jules. You've been off ever since this morning and I feel like you've been trying to push me away. I just want to know why" luke confessed.

Julie looked down, she hadn't realised she had been that obvious, but still she couldnt tell luke, not after what...he did last time.

"Sweets, what's wrong baby?" Luke asked lifting Julie's chin up gently so she would look at him.

Julie faked a smile "nothings wrong, I told you, I've just been a bit tired today"

Luke shook his head "I know you better than that Jules, even reggie noticed."

Julie sighed, she knew Luke would never hurt her but... you could never be too sure, after all...she was wrong last time.

"Luke, I would tell you if it was something you needed to know" Julie said, turning away from Luke.

"Julie your my girlfriend of 4 years! If somethings wrong I should know!" Luke said raising his voice a little

"IM PREGNANT LUKE!" Julie snapped. Her expression quickly turned into fear. She slapped a hand over her mouth. She had not meant to say that.

Luke was beyond shocked "w...what?"

Julie coward a little "I'm...I'm sorry, please dont be mad"

Luke quickly shook away his shock now concerned for why his girlfriend was reacting like this.

"Wait no Jules it's ok, I'm not mad" he said softly going to hug her when Julie flinched back shouting "NO!"

Internally, julie knew luke would never hurt her, she knew she would never lay a finger in any girl but her mind was going into defence mode, remembering what happened last time.

Luke retracted his hand, he looked like a kicked puppy.

"Jules? Baby?" He asked in a small voice.

Julie broke down in a heap of sobs on the bed.

Luke didnt know what to do. Last time he tried to touch her she had seemed so scared but he couldnt just let his girlfriend cry.

Slowly wrapped his arms around Julie, when she flinched he quickly reassured her.

"Shh it's just me. Just luke remember? I'm not going to hurt you. Promise"

Recognising Luke's voice julie turned to sob into his chest.

She knew it was luke now and luke would never hurt her.

Luke rubbed circles on Julie's back while she cried.

He didnt know what had happened, but he trusted julie would tell him once she calmed down.

Sniffling julie brung her head out of Luke's chest "I'm sorry"

"You got nothing to be sorry for sweets" luke kissed her forehead.

"You dont have to tell me if it triggers another reaction like that but...what happened?" He asked cautiously.

Julie shook her head "no I have to tell you...you deserve to know, especially after that."

Luke nodded ok "take your time" she kissed her forehead again.

Julie took a deep breath "theres something ive never told you about my past, I never told anyone Beside my family"

Luke nodded his head for her to continue

"I was previously in a relationship....I thought...I thought he was the one, but I was wrong...so wrong. One night, we decided to take our relationship to the next level. The next morning I started to feel really sick and my period was late, so I took a pregnancy test....... it came back positive" tears had fallen down Julie's face.

Luke was holding his girlfriend in his arms, comforting her while she spoke.

"Its alright babe, take your time" he reassured.

Julie nodded her head and continued.

"When I had told the father, he was angry...really angry.... he blamed me for it. Called me a 'stupid biatch' and started...." julie took a deep breath

"He started hitting me"

Luke could feel his anger rising and it was dangerously close to hitting the top of the pot.

"Luke calm down, please, let me finish the story" Julie begged kissing him.

Luke nodded his anger decreasing a bit.

Julie continued "I screamed which only made him angrier causing him to hit me more and I guess one of the neighbours heard and called the cops. Once the cops arrived they arrested him and he got sent down to prison. The neighbours who called the police took me to the hospital. They confirmed that I wasnt pregnant and it was just a pregnancy scare."

Julie felt Luke's anger subside a bit more when he heard the guy got sent to jail.

"It took me a few months to get over that incident. I'm sorry I reacted the way I did and I'm sorry I didnt tell you and I'm sorry I pushed you away. My defences came back up at the memory and I got scared. I knew you wouldnt hurt me but...I was wrong the last time so I just...." julie trailed off.

Luke turned Julie to face him cupping her face gently

"Jules I totally get why you didnt tell me and if i ever see that guy in going to punch the life out of him."

Julie interrupted him talking sternly "no you wont, no violence, plus it's not likely we will ever see him again considering hes all the way in California, I moved to L.A remember?"

Luke's face softened "sorry sweets, but I cant believe I'm a dad! How did it even happen? We used protection!" Luke started freaking out.

"Yeah I know but that only works like 97% of the time" Julie said rubbing Luke's back in a comforting way.

"What!?!?" Luke said shocked

"Well they should put that on the box!!!!!" He yelled.

Julie looked confusedly at him "they do!" She said.

"No they dont!!" Luke yelled marching into the bathroom to check.

Julie facepalmed. Her boyfriend was stupid.

Luke came out of the bathroom "well they should put in it huge block letters!!!!!" He yelled.

Julie walked over to him taking his hands

"Luke calm down, everythings going to be fine alright, breath with me" she said breathing in an exaggerated manner.

Luke calmed down "sorry Jules I was just shocked. I'm going to be a father" he smiled, tears pooling in his eyes.

"Please tell me those are happy tears" julie said nervously

Luke laughed taking Julie's face "definitely happy tears! We are having a baby Jules!" He yelled excitedly.

Julie laughed "yeah I'm aware"

Luke pulled julie down onto the bed with him laying down and turned to face her.

"A baby" he whispered.

"Our very own" she whispered

they were having their own little munchkin. A mini version of luke and Julie running around. God that child was going to be a little devil with Luke's mischievous side, but so talented.
